Chapter 120

I made a killing spree on the guards. They have not noticed all the death they experienced in my hands. It didn't take me too long for the guards in the area to disappear. Without all the demons to guard, and all the other demons left to line up on the square, I am free to lay down all the traps on the settlement.

My traps are only effective against the enemies and ineffective on myself so even if I pass by on a trap, it won't activate but if its an enemy, the trap will get triggered. The streets were empty so I moved fast and lay down the tripwire bombs one by one in the streets. I carefully put down the traps. I check my skill tree on Saboteur and check the skills I have in the moment. Most skills of the saboteur are mostly zero cooldown skills but its hard to use them without proper terrain. Then, just as I was having a problem on how to learn terrain, my eyes landed into one of the Tier 2 skill of Saboteurs.

"Terrain Scan" Tier 2

Mana Cost: 100 MP

Cooldown: 5 minutes

Description: Builds a Holographic terrain on your mind that resembles the layout of the area 100 meters on your location. All areas that can be planted with traps are marked with red glow. The model will last for 1 minute.

I see, no wonder Saboteurs are experts planting traps. This was the skill that can allow Saboteur players to plant traps efficiently in a short time. With my Eidetic Memory, I can remember the layout once the skill is cast. I would be able to use it and wait for the cooldown of the Terrain Scan while putting all traps for the enemies.

"Terrain Scan!"

After muttering the skill, a green layout appeared in my mind, like a blueprint design of the place. From the looks of it, this is the 100 meter layout of the place. Many places are marked with red spot, meaning that those places are possible to put a trap. Every place labeled with red has a label which is the name of my skills for the Saboteur.

After a minute, the whole green layout disappeared but I no longer need it. I memorized it already. With a grin, I look at the houses. A sinister smile appeared in my grin earlier. Time to get working.

I have different skills for sabotage, C4(1), pitfalls, hidden darts, and other traps that can surely incapacitate or kill a monster without preparation. I was meticulous on many things about the traps and I don't just put a trap if I am unsure it would be useful. After a few hours of meticulous and arduous trap planting, I finally finished the whole job. The only thing left to do is to lure the enemies to all directions.

I remembered that there is a bell on the barracks of the guards earlier. I think that is a thing to signal the other demons in case of enemy breach. To make the enemies alert, then this would be a good bait for the monsters.

Then, before I start to lure the demons, I suddenly overheard the sermon of the demon in the center of the square where most demons are gathered.

"...we have proven that the mortals rare weaklings! We have already crippled too much of their manpower. Slaughtering all the men and taking the women to become our s*x slaves is easy to do for us. Let's rally ourselves and attack them! Soon, our names will be printed in the history! Hahahah!"

The laughter echoed and the demons also snickered and grin evilly. Scums of demons. They really have no heart and killing them will really give me a chance to keep the evil lesser. As a Saboteur, I decided to not interfere and let the process as smooth as possible.

I climb into one of the roofs with stable support and decided to look on what will happen. The demons continued to discuss their strategy, however, hearing their strategy makes me shake my head. Their strategy are full of flaws. Just by the first plan to forcefully attack, is already a flaw. They have neglected the existence of the Players. However, since they have experienced first the might of other pioneers, they think that there is no need to worry. Well, I guess, they have to worry, if they can't even pass the traps I laid down previously.

After a while, the discussion seems to come to a close and they began to disperse and return. Then, as the one who planted the traps, I was immediately notified by the first unfortunate demon who got caught up in my trap. And another one, most of them are caught by the Web of Wire traps I planted.

"Web of Wires" Tier 4

Mana Cost: 50 MP

Cool down: 1 minute

Deployment time,: 2 minutes

Description: A trap consisting of one trip wire and a spider web wires. Any target who pass through the wires will surely get minced.

Web of Wires is very tricky. Once a victim gets to be tripped on the first trip wire, they will immediately be minced after falling into the web of wires. And if they are dumb enough and won't notice the wire I planted, then the process continue.

Boom!

One of the Tripwire Bombs has been triggered and it killed 3 passing demons immediately. I was surprised by the power of the Tripwire Bombs. It was like a small hand grenade explosion but the log stated that three have been fallen to the trap and got killed. I was underestimating the Tripwire Bomb totally.

The explosion might be a slight one but it already triggered the demons' alertness.

"What was that?"

"That sounds like an explosion!"

"Explosion? Did we get invaded?"

"F*ck! To arms!"

Many of them quickly rushed to the barracks. However, I grinned again, instead of panicking, I grinned again, I already planted a dangerous trap for them and they won't be able to escape on it.

The demons quickly scamper towards the barracks and armory to take their weapons and armor to fend off against me, but as they were about to go in, the first demon to go in disappears without a trace. It was like they were falling but it was impossible since the floor did not open. Before the other demons knew it, they also got fallen to my own trap In the end, all the demons who gets to enter the barracks or their armory went missing.

I grinned sinisterly looking at the skill who did all the work of thinning most enemies.

"Illusionary Spiked Pitfall" Tier 8

Mana Cost: 1,000 MP

Cool down: 10 minutes

Deployment time: 5 minutes

Description: Creates a pitfall on the ground. Can be used and removed by the user after the usage. Unlike the normal pitfall, the victims won't realize the trap unless they are cautious enough. Victims will look like they are sucked on the floor and disappear only to fall victim to the spikes that has a 100% killing rate. Won't work on bosses.

Although this skill won't work on bosses, this is already enough for me to work on and that exactly helped me thin out the enemies going one by one.

The demons fell to my traps one by one, and the demons were alarmed to the bone. They tried getting prepared but they can't even go to the armory and barracks. Before they can even go, they already have fallen. Darts kills them immediately as they got shot into their vitals.

I looked at the kill count and before I knew it, 97, 894 demons fell victim to my traps. My exp bar is getting close to 98% already but nope, not yet ready to hit. I just shook my head, although this mission is considered insane, it would only be insane if the enemies are faced head on. However, I still am not confident enough to face the boss, Abaddon face to face. Although Dolly will be able to help me with this, it won't be easy. If this is in insane difficulty, the boss is surely going to be so strong.

The kill count continued to rise and before I knew it, all 100,000 demons got killed. The whole streets are filled with green blood consisted with the dead bodies of the enemies. I want to face palm myself for seeing so many dumb demons fall into traps without even able to avoid one. My EXP bar rose to 99%, ready to hit off to level 101. Dolly managed to level up to level 97 already. She might have reached level 100 if she have participated in the killing spree, however since she didn't, she ended up leveling less. One more enemy left to go. Time to face the General Demon, A
