To acquire Feather of Flames, you need to kill 40 Bird of Flames which are usually seen in the Level 11 Scorching Lands. However, they are not easy to kill like anyone said. Bird of Flames are agile flyers and deals massive attacks that many veteran players have problem dealing. Moreover, they quickly adapt to the human they are facing against, making it a bit hard to battle them without strategy. I can use Guns, Hook, Spears and Bows against them but they will lower my chances of dropping the Feather of Flames. Bird of Flames do not drop Feather of Flames when killed by guns and bows, leaving only ranged magic to be good enough to deal them with and also sneak kill.

Though its not really a hard task, the last item is harder to get. Green Spider Fang can only be obtained by killing a Green Spider. They are easy to kill, however they produce venom everytime you kill one, causing it to be hard to beat up since you need to make sure they don't attack at groups making the venom they spit to be unavoidable. Stealth is the only thing that can help players to obtain one. Not only the spiders are the problem, even their webs are a problem since they can attach to anyone who doesn't watch to where they go, leaving the players to die if caught.

I did not proceed immediately to the area and returned to the capital. I restocked my potions and other ailment curing items mainly the Poison and Burn potion. Burns can also get dangerous and they are usually inflicted by Birds of Flames. I have 900 silver at first but after restocking, I got 300 copper left. The potions are quite a pack, I need to earn gold soon or else its going to get bad.

I did not bother changing my equipment. My armor is still in beginner stage and only the shoes are the most better item in all of them. But despite being a beginner armor, it can last fine against the Birds of Flame and Green Spider that I am going to face against.

While I am still on it, I look at the leaderboards this time. Harmless Sparrow is still on Second Place, still on her level 7. However, I noticed most of the players now on third below rank are all in level 6. Looks like they are still trying to catch up to me. Well, that will take more time especially if they arrive the threshold of level 8.

I closed the leaderboards and quickly sprinted towards the Scorching Lands. The Green Spiders will come last since they are harder to deal with. It takes me 13 minutes to reach the Scorching Lands. There are many Flame Sprites around here which are all good Exp farm mobs as they fetch much more Exp to reach level 12 easily by farming continuously. Though I have no intention to farm exp for now, I am short on money and selling their drops are good. They drop Flame Rocks which yields 10 silver if sold in Blacksmith Shops. They are ingredients for making a Blazar Rod and Cognito Knuckles which have the flame attribute. Moreover, Flame Rocks are all 100% drop rate from the Flame Sprites which is quite good too.

I changed my weapon into an Axe. Axes are all effective against Flame Sprites as they can kill them without much trouble than swords. I decided to begin killing them.

Flame Sprite

Level 10

HP: 4000/4000

Attribute: Flame

I unleashed my strength to wield the axe hard. Its a bit hard to do so since I am not a master using this weapon. I usually focus on swords or staffs and I am not familiar on this weapon but I will manage since this is a game. I will eventually adapt to the heaviness of the Axe.

Axes are good damage dealers and one of the dominators in PVP arena in the past. Berserkers wield Axes causing them to be too powerful alongside with their insane damages and AOE skills. However, their DPS are horrible. Their one swing is equivalent to five swings of the Assassin's normal attack. However, its normal for them to be slow to avoid being too overpowered. Having high damage and also a high DPS means they are just too strong to beat. They can basically dominate any dungeon without problem if it is like that and no class can surpass it.

I swing my axe and deal huge damages towards the Flame Sprites.

Those damages are the damage that I dealt against four Flame Sprites at once. What makes the Axes good is due to the fact that they can handle many targets at once unlike other weapons that don't do the same except for the Samurai's katana which also do the same principle with lower damage than the Berserker.

I stepped back to avoid the attacks of the Flame Sprites. Despite Magic Attributed creature, they only know how to punch which is easy to avoid as long as the player has a flexible body. After stepping back and dodging the attack, I swing the axe once more and deal another set of damages.

Repeating this process is hard but I slowly got accustomed to it. I killed 30 Flames Sprites after 10 minutes of killing them. My weapon proficiency also risen from Newbie to Accustomed.

I almost forgot that weapon proficiency is divided into categories.

Newbie, Trainee, Accustomed, Proficient, Expert, And Master. This will change depending on how good you are in fighting and also since the effect of Death's Favorite, raising my weapon proficiency is easy to deal. Reaching in Accustomed level, I can now learn a few skills that berserkers use though I don't plan to learn them yet.

I collected 30 pieces of flame rocks along with 100 copper which is not bad. My level also have risen from level 10 to level 11. The people on the leaderboards might be all troubled by my leveling speed but who can prevent me from leveling? The mobs are all mine for now, no people doing the KS which is pretty a bad thing in this game since many players go on argument due to this.

I decided to stop beating Flame Sprites and decided to go to Birds of Flames so that I can deal with the dungeon as soon as possible. Not long after, I saw the targets that I am looking for.

Birds of Flames

Level 12

HP: 5000/5000

Attribute: Flame

I changed my weapon into a Staff once again and cast Ice Prison to stun them before following a Shocking Lightning towards the frozen Birds of Flames.

Those damages are too horrible. These guys are one level higher than me that is why they are troublesome too. I didn't notice a few Birds of Flame that escaped the grasp of Ice Prison and shoots some Fireball to me. I dodged a few though I am still unlucky as I got hit by a few fireballs.

-Inflicted Burn!

Oh f*ck. They hit so hard. My 1240 HP is going to drain so fast due to the burn. I drank a. Burn Potion before moving again and taking a potion I bought which gives me 300 HP in one intake. I once again casted Ice Prison once again hitting them. However, some are able to avoid my Ice Prison immediately, making them hard to beat. I used my Shocking Lightning before I got beaten up by these birds. I managed to gain 10 pieces of Feather of Flames after beating 50 Birds of Flame. My Mana is exhausted so I decided to withdraw against them. I did not bring any Mana regeneration potion making it hard to deal against them. Also, my Health Potion is also running out which is pretty hard to buy since I am lacking in funds. However, it is alright. 10 Feathers of Flames are already plenty. In the past, I have to take 2 days full to gain 40 Feathers of Flames. It is pretty hard to gain at all that is why I am already happy to earn 10.

Feathers of Flames has a 50% drop rate when killing Birds of Flames when using Stealth kill while they have 35% drop rate if killed using magic. It is pretty restricted that is why having them killed via magic is much better than dealing them stealthily. I can do stealth kill against them but I don't need to risk it. My risk of dying is too high. Birds of Flames also yield small Exp, making them really bad for farming.

After making sure the Health Potion is still sufficient in supply, I decided to continue hunting. My Mana Bar is full and I can do another round of hunting. Since Birds of Flames are intelligent, I have to change my play style and by combining the skill of the Magic Knight and Magician, they have not expected I will change my tactics. This time around, I used different combinations using the Magic Knight skill and Magician skills which caught them unguarded, letting me kill 50 of them.

This time, I got lucky to manage and obtain 15 feathers only leaving me another 15 feathers left to farm. I also obtained randomly a few Flame Essence which is a necessary item for making a weapon good for Magic Knights. However, it only amounted into two Flame Essence which is too small.

I can't continue fetching another Feathers of Flames due to my insufficiently stock of Health Potion, making me in a troubled duration so I decided to return to the Capital to restock my Health Potion.

Reaching back into town, I have sold Flame Rocks to the Blacksmith Shop, which makes the Head Blacksmith who is an Elf which is pretty rare for the blacksmiths as they are usually Dwarves who do so. She is Almira, the second top beauty NPC in the game.

"Thank you for supplying me a few Flame Rocks. I am in current need of it due to the current demand of the mage association of the Blazar Rod. I hope you can procure me another round of Flame Rocks? The more the better! Don't worry, I will reward you depending on how many you have sold to me," Almira said to me and a quest notification appeared.

Flame Rocks Procurement (Chain Quest)

Difficulty: B

Description: Almira the head blacksmiths wanted you to procure Flame Rocks for the in demand supply. The more, the better.

Reward:???

Warning: Declining on this quest leads you to voiding this quest, depriving you the chance to gain a secret quest.

Will you accept the quest?

I was a bit perplexed. I never expected to encounter a quest like this. I don't remember anyone manage to obtain this quest. However, I am delighted since I can now get another secret quest. I accepted the quest immediately and since there is no time limit, I decided to just let it go later on after I obtain all of the ingredients so that I have nothing to worry later on.

After restocking, I returned to the Scorching Lands to hunt these troublesome birds. I will not let these flaming birds drain my money.
