Chapter 48

After picking up all of the loot and shoving them all inside the inventory, I made my way to the next area. This time, enemies are getting stronger and the terrain is also getting dangerous. The floors erupt and spits out lava which can cause burn debuff or damage. Enemies here also varied and some monsters also appear quite large in numbers, for example, these monsters I am currently facing.

"Lava Imps"

Level 50

HP:1,000/1,000

Attribute: Monster type, Darkness, Flame

They have low HP but they should be around a hundred or more so they are still dangerous and you might get ganged up by them and killed. Many newbie players died due to these but for me, I don't need to kill them, just lure them out. I sprinted around the groups of Lava Imps and didn't bother them but I also made sure that I am on their agrro range to kite them.

KIKIKI!

Their random sounds are so annoying especially if they are group together. They quickly followed me behind and are eager to beat and kill me. They are just mindless monster and no need to bother killing them by your own hands. Let the nature do the attacks.

PUFF!

When I passed by a mushroom on the center of the ragged road, I quickly shot a bullet on it. That is a poison mushroom and puffs out lethal poison spore in the air. The poison it throws is quite lethal and humans and monsters alike will die if they inhaled the poisonous spore it releases. I did not bother to look back on them. Some of them have suffered from the poison and as for me, I have already got away from the range of the spore, making me safe from the lethal poison except for the unlucky Lava Imps.

KI!

The Lava Imps that pass through the mushroom will either clutch their throat or go berserk. before dying. The poison lingers for 2 minutes in an area so it is quite dangerous a place with a spore of Poison Mushroom and now look at the suffering Lava Imps. In the end, the Lava Imps were reduced to half of their population but still continued to attack me, trampling their comrades. They only have the eye of the prize and they wont stop unless they got what they want. They are quite greedy.

Of course, the surprises are not yet done. Soon, I saw an obstacle course that many players love to pass. The Floating Rocks. Bet you played Super Mario right? See those floating platforms above a sea of lava? Floating rocks are the same, only problem is that underneath the floating rocks that act as a platform is a dark, blue lake. Underneath that is a monster that players thought as a boss.

"Kugtong"

Level ???

HP:?/?

Attribute: Fish, Water

Yup, this monster is living here. For those people who live in the Asian countries should have heard of this guy. This one is not part of the bosses and killing this fish is close to impossible. Many tried unleashing attacks against this fish but the HP seems to never decrease. There was also an experiment of some high leveled players to check its stats and even they have reached level 400 above, the level of Kugtong is still ??? which is still unknown till this day. If players found out the level of the Kugtong, then that means you are stronger than the Kugtong that is capable of hiding its HP.

What made me lure the Lava Imps is to let them fall on the water. They will continue to charge and tries to grab on floating rock platforms to reach me. Well, it was amusing to watch them fall and swim in despair before being swallowed by the Kugtong monster. I know that Lava Imps has a persistent attitude and even seeing any comrades dead, they still continue to charge. In the end, they are all helplessly swimming for their lives before being devoured by by the Kugtong.

I did not bother to look at them nor attack the Kugtong. It is not necessary to kill a Kugtong to open the boss room. Just kill all Lava Imps.. They will all die in the platforms and become fish food. I jump from rock to rock before the next area is located. And as expected, they all die and no signs of hostiles anywhere allowing me to continue to the boss room.

The boss room was as eerie as the darkness of the night and if coward players saw this, they might tremble and die, scaring themselves to death. I checked all of my items and scrolls. I have not used the scrolls yet since the two bosses earlier are immune to flame attacks so why bother using it? Now though is the time for me to face the boss again. I ready my weapon that is already spear and shield as a precaution to the boss attacks.

The boss room is similar to those throne rooms in MMORPG games in the old times. And as usual, the boss is sitting on the throne, with an imposing and deathly aura to behold.

"Who dares to enter my abode?!" The boss roared and stands up from his seat.

"Undying Purgatory Giant"

Level 50

HP: ?/?

Attribute: Darkness

It's undead attribute is no longer on his stats, perhaps, due to the interference of Simona with the battle I have with this guy, his undead transformation was cancelled. When the Undead Purgatory Giant saw me, his eyes looks like he have seen a ghost and was so surprised.

"YOU!? Motherf*cking hell, why from all the enemies, you are the first one to attack my abode?!" The boss cussed and slap his forehead.

HUH?

What is going on? I never saw this boss react like this! From all of my 25 years living in the game, this is the first time hearing that line!

"What the heck are you looking at? You wanna get a slap? If you still want to stand there, then go! Don't bother me!" The boss returned to his seat, and seems depressed.

Uh.... Should the boss attack me instead than sulk in the corner. What kind of situation is this. Is this really an abyss mode? I don't know whether I laugh or cry.

"Uh... shouldn't we brawl instead?" I asked, still vigilant on his actions.

"F*ck off! You already pummeled me last time, why do I have to taste that sh*t again? You even sent me to the oblivion and stretched my body to its limits for a whole day and now that I see you again, you want to pummel me again?!" He growled, still lurking on his throne.

"..."

Are you kidding me? I did not even sent you to the oblivion since I didn't even have the chance to kill you when you revived! You should blame Simona instead, not me!

"So, what are we going to do?" I asked again.

"Why are you asking me, you should know that yourself!" he roared and sighed.

"Hey, you think that I am clueless? I have to beat you to clear this dungeon! What's with that laid back attitude?" I frowned.'

"I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU WANT TO DO, JUST LEAVE ME ALONE! IF YOU WANT TO CLEAR THE DUNGEON, FINE! TAKE THE HIDDEN DOOR INTO YOUR LEFT AND TAKE THE TREASURE AFTER THAT, LEAVE! I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE AGAIN!" he roared and the whole boss room shook as he speak..

F*ck, do I really look so ugly that he didn't want to see this face? What is up with this boss? Anyways, a hidden door? I don't remember having a hidden door around here!

"What are you waiting for? I know that humans are greedy with treasures! Just take it BUT YOU SHOULD ALSO LEAVE ME ALONE!"

FINE! Since you are so generous in telling me your secret stash then I will gladly take it! I keep on looking back at him if in case this is just a big trap but I don't see any kind of movements on him or a grin in his face. In fact, he looks so grieved and despaired. When I pushed the wall, I sensed that there really is a hidden door here! Why I didn't know this?

I checked the door in case of traps and after making sure that there are no traps, I quickly push the hidden door. It was a hallway so dark but I can smell the smell of old trinkets not too far from here.

HUA!

I was stunned. The whole place was glittering with gold! There are several items that I have not seen before! Moreover, this place is just a effing treasure trove! I picked up a Golden Bracelet and checked it's quality.

"Gold Bracelet of Darkness"

INT: 70

Level 40

Special: Darkness Enhance - strengthens dark element skills.

Cursed Item

Rarity: Vey Rare

Description: Once a normal bracelet made of gold, now enshrouded with darkness. Anyone who wears this will get misfortunes back to back.

Seeing this, I quickly throw it away. That is trash, furthermore, it is a cursed item. There are three kinds of items, Normal, Blessed and Cursed. The items usually earned by majority of the players are Normal. Blessed and Cursed are usually found on treasure chests or dungeons. Blessed has a good holy effects that players benefits. While Cursed are stronger than blessed and sometimes, really exceptional except that they curses the player or NPC wearing it. If a player has a cursed item that usually has a bad effect, better throw it away. No NPC will buy it for you and no one will receive that thing unless you are an idiot or you have no idea what a cursed item do, worst, you will get lower friendship points to the NPCs around you.

I checked most of the items and all of them are cursed. Cursed items cannot be blessed so no point in carrying it. In the end, I picked up 20,000 gold coins and teleport stone. A teleport stone is a color yellow round jewel usually dropped whenever a boss is killed and seeing the Teleport stone, then that means I have cleared the dungeon. I go outside the room and I saw the boss currently staring at my direction with a pained face.

"Don't worry, I don't plan to take your equipments. I don't like them and I can't earn money from them, I just took your money since it is more practical, around 20,000 gold" I said.

Hearing that, he looked a bit fine but still look crestfallen, maybe since 20,000 gold is already a big sum.

"Alright, just scram and use the Teleport stone away!" he frowned as he keep on staring at me.

-Level Up!

Huh? Did I just leveled up? I didn't do anything! I quickly looked at the log to see what caused me to level up.

"The Undying Purgatory Giant surrendered!"

F*ck! So that is the reason I leveled up! I didn't expect that at all! With me leveling up to level 55 and with pockets full of gold, it's time for me to return to surface! I raised my hand that is holding the yellow Teleport stone, infusing my own mana to activate the magic inside of it and the Teleport stone glows. Heat slowly circled around my arm that is currently holding the stone which means it is accepting the mana I infused on it. This is the basic way of activating the teleport stone which is usually done whenever you are not in a hurry out of the dungeon. This item is a one time use and I was glad that I got this easily without a fight on the last boss. I even got a bountiful of reward, I even managed to get the first clear!

"Teleport!"

I teleported out of the dungeon, leaving the boss in despair.

"My money... you moneygrubber b*stard!"
