When he saw what happened, the butler couldn’t help but quietly facepalm.

There was a moment of silence in the room. So silent that one could hear a pin drop.

The final conclusion that she could make was that the old man was a very good actor.
She wisely chose to not say anything, and merely quietly stood on the spot like a piece of decoration.
