Lu Zhaoyang nodded silently.
When they were close to the entrance, they saw a black Rolls Royce parked beside their ride.
Even before the man stepped out from the backseat, Lu Zhaoyang knew immediately who was the owner of the car.
As expected, Huo Yunting found out!
Her chest tightened nervously. She forced a neutral expression on her face as she made her way quickly to the man, leaving Huo Zhenning behind her.
Her hair fluttered and her cheeks turned red as she strode quickly toward him.
She looked cute, but Huo Yunting was in no mood to appreciate it.
Lu Zhaoyang stopped in front of him and said, “He is only here to see Aunt Qiu and has no ulterior motives. He has been decent.”
Huo Yunting looked down at her coldly and clenched his fist. “You asked for the address yesterday. Was it to bring him here?”
She shook her head. “I came here myself yesterday. Uncle Huo contacted me today and asked to visit Aun Qiu. Since they were once married…”
“I’d rather they were not!”
Huo Yunting said with barely contained anger.
“Just talk things through.” She put a hand on his arm but he shook her loose and gripped tightly onto her wrist instead.
She frowned in pain at the pressure on her wrist.
Huo Yunting shifted his attention to Huo Zhenning, who was slowly approaching them. His gaze turned cold and scornful.
“I see that you have learned to admit your mistakes. This is new.”
“I am your father, Huo Yunting! Look at the way you talk to me! Can’t I simply pay her a visit?”
Huo Zhenning noticed that Lu Zhaoyang was in pain and felt even more frustrated. “You can be angry and indignant, but by hurting your sister, what can you achieve? Your mother is gone and you are no longer a child. Accept the fact and grow up!”
“The only fact I am accepting is that we are no longer related to each other anymore. You have no ground to treat me like you’re some elder relative of mine.”
He smiled distastefully. “You are not welcomed here. You never visited her when she was alive, so there is no need to pretend like you care after she is dead!”
“You are truly a…”
“Mr Huo Senior, you should stay with your beloved wife in the capital and stop meddling in other people’s business. What if something happened to her while you were away…”
Huo Yunting said with affected insouciance before dragging Lu Zhaoyang into his car.
She wanted to speak up but stopped herself when she saw his dark expression.
There was a red imprint around her wrist from his grip. Huo Yunting had not hold back.
The driver drove fast, leaving Huo Zhenning behind in the cemetery.
Lu Zhaoyang looked at Huo Yunting. The man seated beside her sat back and closed his eyes, maintaining his distance.
When they reached her office, Lu Zhaoyang took her handbag and looked to him. She said quietly, “I’m getting off.”
As expected, Huo Yunting did not reply. The car was promptly gone.

Lu Zhaoyang was just beginning the second half of her working day when she received a call from Xiang Jinxi. He was in his office and wanted to see her.
Lu Zhaoyang gathered some documents that required his signature and went to his office.
“President, if these are alright, please sign them.”
Xiang Jinxi was staring at his computer monitor when he accepted the pen she offered, but he did not sign the papers straight away.
