Lu Zhaoyang's voice came over the phone. "Sir, President Du from Sagacity Corp is downstairs. He's here to see you."
"Do you think I should see him?"
The last time they met, the man had sneered at his wife for being a mute. How dare he visit his company now?
"You should decide on company matters yourself, and not consult with me." When at work, she sounded as cool as a cucumber.
"Then let him in, bring him to Meeting Room 2. Invite him in yourself." Huo Yunting ended the call.
Lu Zhaoyang could not figure out his intention.
Based on their last meeting with President Du, it was obvious that their companies would not be working together.
Why would he want her to personally greet President Du now?
The staff at reception directed President Du upstairs, while Lu Zhaoyang led him to the meeting room. She prepared a cup of coffee for him and said, "Please wait a moment, President Du. The president will be here shortly."
President Du look at her with surprise. "That day — That day, you can talk?"
"I just didn't feel like speaking that day."
She never liked President Du. It did not matter if she was really a mute, but he was being rude when speaking of her in that manner at the golf course.

Abruptly, Huo Yunting asked, "Getting impatient?"
"No, of course not. Please take care of any business you have first, I'm willing to wait for as long as it takes!" President Du immediately stood up from his seat. That Huo Yunting was willing to see him again was a miracle, so he did not mind the wait.
"I wasn't asking you." Huo Yunting said and tuned to Lu Zhaoyang. For the first time since he was injured, he smiled faintly at her.
Lu Zhaoyang was speechless. Was he asking her instead?
This was her job. She would wait however long necessary.
"Sir, please have a seat." She stepped to the side and gestured toward the sofa opposite President Du.
Huo Yunting did not move from where he was standing. He looked at President Du and spoke dismissively, "I only wanted to show you that she can speak. Now that you know, you can leave."
