Chapter 39 Part 1:The Hunter Institute
『Congratulations for your First Place Admission to the Hunter Institute!』
Oh my God. I rubbed my eyes in disbelief at the letter in front of me. Even when I read it again, the content was the same.
‘What? First Place Admission? First Place Admission?!’

So it was often used for other purposes than its original one. It was often used as a place for Guilds to recruit talents nowadays. As I’ve said before, the Hunters human resource plays a vital role to the quality and quantity of a guild, and it’s something that even the highest ranked guilds can’t avoid, so guild recruitment is fiercely competitive.
Of course, this applies to the top tier hunter recruits, while those at the bottom can barely pull themselves up by their bootstraps and join a guild.
‘A Representative oath at the initiation ceremony?’
That’s terrible…. Below that, there’s a list of perks for senior initiates, none of which I was particularly interested in. The most prominent of these perks is, perhaps, Guild Bargaining Rights. At the end of the Institute training, the Guilds will offer recruitment cards, paid for by their own donations, to eager Hunters. It’s a system that allows aspirants to choose where they want to go from among the cards offered, but the guild bargaining rights are the only way to rebel against that basic system. It’s a card that an individual Hunter can propose to a Guild. It’s pretty useless to me, because the reason why training centers are so important is because the average Hunter has very few opportunities to be contacted by a Guild. Unless you really make a name for yourself as a solo hunter, but I’m pretty sure I’ll make a name for myself, and I don’t plan on joining a big guild, so it’s not that important.
“Noona, did you get the results?”
As I stood stunned by the results, Pyo Yeon-Won, who had turned around to look after me, asked softly.
“Of course you passed, right? There’s no way Seo-ha could have failed. Why are you so anxious?”
I could feel my own anxiety as well. My cold heart was revitalized. Yes… At least I got in. It’s better than being rejected…
