Chapter 49 Part 2:  Non-Wave Gate

“Why? Are you afraid of losing Unnie’s attention because of me?”

“I don’t see how that would make sense, and you said you don’t want to participate in guild missions, so of course I have the advantage.”

“But I live with her.”

“Sure, The guild Leader even mentioned that she was worried about you not being home a lot these days.”

Well, I’ve been busy bringing Theodore food and drink lately.

At first, I took out the materials in Theo’s room and analyzed them, but later I brought food and even ate and slept in Theo’s room while analyzing the materials.

‘I didn’t realize she was worried about me. I’ll eat dinner with her tonight.’

I smoothed out my uniform as I thought about it.

“Let’s go. The guild leader is waiting outside.”

“Okay.”

I holstered my Noir after all the preparations were over. When I followed Jo Yeon-ho outside, Hye-won was also waiting in uniform. As soon as she saw me, her face instantly lit up.

“Seo-Ha, my God, you look so good!”

“Really? Thank you, big sister. You look great today too.”

I meant it.

Before the regression, I had never seen Hye-won in uniform, and realizing that just made me tear up.

“Don’t be nervous, walk tall, they’ll be squinting and waiting to book you, but we’re ‘The Netherworld Guild’ no need to bend over.”

“Yeah. I’ll keep that in mind.”

“Then let’s go.”

Unnie led the way, followed by Jo Yeon-Ho. The other guild members lined up behind them as well. The white cloak that symbolized the guild leader fluttered and adorned Hye-Won’s back.

Beep! Beepp!

“Netherworld is entering!”

An alarm blared, announcing our entry.

The giant doors parted to the left and right, and we stepped inside.

My first impression was that it was all white. The walls were carved with ancient patterns, and the white light was everywhere, making it difficult to find a dark spot. It had a religious feel to it, but it didn’t remind me of any particular religion.

And there was something that stood out in the center of the room— The Holy Grail inside a transparent glass box.

‘Dahlia…’

Its divine appearance was still awe-inspiring. It was already a huge item, reaching up to my waist, but when it stood in the light from above, it looked like a holy Artifact. I wondered if the priests who said it was a ‘Fragment of God’ had also seen it and named it that.

“Welcome. Netherworld people.”

A woman in a suit greeted us.

‘Is that an ID hanging from her neck?’

No, she must be from the National Treasure Administration.

So I guess she’s a civil servant.

“Red Flames was also waiting for you.”

She stepped aside, and the red colored uniforms pierced my eyes.

It was a burgundy-red color, it looked more like a suit of armor than a robe.

There was even a symbol of flames that seemed to be burning on it. They were the people of Red Flames.

The man in the red cloak laughed merrily.

“How long has it been? It’s good to see you.”

“Long time no see.”

He was a handsome man with light blond hair. His colorful hair stood out against his dark skin. The sword at his waist and his toned body suggest that he was a swordsman.

No need to guess.

It’s Yoon Kang-Baek, the Guild Leader of Red Flames.

He’s a second-generation or should I say second and a half generation, Hunter alongside Jeon Seo-ho of Blue Serpent, and he was said to be a man, blazing in… flames.

I could feel Hye-won grinding her teeth. Judging by the way they’re talking back to each other, they don’t seem to have a bad relationship…

Considering that Red Flames was the one who sent the clearing team alongside the Netherworld, it seemed like they have a cooperative relationship.

Before the regression, Hye-won had never mentioned them to me, which was quite surprising.

“I’m Park Chae-eun from the National Treasure Administration.”

A woman with her hair neatly tied into a bun stepped forward to speak.

“Today, we have a request from the Netherworld to prove some evidence, so we’re going to hold a consultation between the two guilds. As per the rules, the guild leaders from both sides will be present.”

She glanced back and forth between the Guild Leader of Red Flames and Hyewon-unnie, and they both nodded lightly.

“The argument from the Netherworld side is as follows, 『The Holy Grail’s description states that it has an additional effect when used by a specific person, and this specific person belongs to the Netherworld. Therefore, we would like to redistribute the stake to the Holy Grail so that it can be utilized more efficiently.』 Is that correct?”

“Yes. That’s correct.”

“Does the Red Flames side agree?”

“I can’t accept it without clear proof.”

‘Again’. This is what happens. A lot of complications could have been avoided if they just agreed.

“Then let’s get down to business.” She said, “And the ‘Specific Person’ you claim to be, please step forward.”

I stepped forward after hearing her words. It was my turn to work. With everyone moving away from the Holy Grail, I stepped forward and stood in front of it.

I touched the base of the clear glass box.

I hadn’t seen it in a long time, and I wondered if it was a little lonely without me.

“… Please let me take out the Holy Grail.”

“Permission granted.”

When Park Chae-Eun gave me permission, I immediately heard the sound of a machine turning.
