‘….I’ll kill the rest of the humans in front of your eyes! I want to see you desperately watching me kill them one-by-one, hahahaha and I’m sure that’s what he wants..’

His threatening words echoed in my head again.

Now he was laughing in front of me, while holding Lee Eun-Woo’s life in his hands.

「Hoohoohoo, I caught you off guard.」

‘Shit.’

He was right.

I’d forgotten that unlike cartoon movies, real-life enemies don’t wait for you to come up with a strategy.

“Ugh!”

Lee Eun-Woo, who was strangled, uttered a painful groan.

‘What should I do to rescue him?’

Bang, bang, bang!

「Whoa! What a fool!」

I fired my gun, but the bullets were being blocked by those bats.

After hitting one or two bats, I lost my strength and finally fell to the ground.

I can’t reach them.

‘Damn it!…. I’ll do Whatever it takes…’

I cursed under my breath and fired my gun again, but to no avail.

With a pop, more bats hit the floor, and soon enough, they were flying again.

「How shall I kill this one so you can writhe in pain…. In desperation!」

「Hoo-hoo.」

That guy laughed.

What a creepy guy.

«Spatial interference!»

I couldn’t leave Lee Eun-Woo alone.

So I spatially shifted above the Vampire’s head.

Swish!

I circled once and aimed the muzzle of my gun.

Bang!

But a bat that suddenly appeared out of nowhere was hit instead.

Then!

Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang!

I’m shooting a rain of bullets but…

‘There are so many!’

Bats are gathering faster than I can shoot!

‘Special bullets..’

「Notice: Cooldown (5 Minutes)」

‘Damn it!’

Then I have to do something else.

‘What If I put my weight on the acceleration after falling from the air?’

I spun, twirled and turned with my legs facing down.

Can bats endure this?

It’s not a bullet, and it’s not going to stop even if one or two of those bats blocks it!

「You don’t think they can stop that?」

As expected, he grinned.

Bats started overlapping me and blocked me.

So when I fell, I bounced off them, and rolled to the ground.

The collision made a harsh noise as I hit the ground.

I lifted my head to look at the vampire, and he was still clutching Lee Eun-Woo with his painful expression piercing my view.

Bang!

I fired a bullet, but it hit a bat.

‘Fucking assh–le.’

「Shit. Is that all you got?」

“Assh–le.”

「I take that as a compliment.」

‘Ugh’, I gritted my teeth.

Lee Eun-Woo was groggy from the lack of oxygen.

“Wake up! Use your magic if you want to live!”

“Gah…”

I screamed at him, but he didn’t seem to be in any condition to think about anything.

His complexion turned pale and his lips turned purple.

「Oops. You can’t die. Yet..」

“Ugh! Gah! Ahh!… Huh…”

Lee Eun-Woo was finally released, and he crawled on the ground with his ragid breathing.

He seemed to be busy holding his neck and just trying to catch his breath.

Nevertheless, he had to do something.

He’ll die if he doesn’t.

“Lee Eun-Woo!”

「Hehe….」

He stretched his arms out in front of him with trembling hands.

It was a preparation for the delicate carving of his magic power.

「Not a chance!」

With a thud, the vampire stepped on his hand.

Thump, thump.

There was a muffled sound as his hand was stepped on the ground.

Lee Eun-Woo’s complexion turned pale in a different sense.

That hand was the most precious thing to a mage.

「Oh… Yeah! I’ve got a funny idea..」

My ominous premonitions were always right on the money.

The vampire squeezed Lee Eun-Woo’s wrist.

「It’d be pretty cool to break this thing.」

He grinned wickedly.

I poined Noir at him.

Bang, bang, bang!

「Hahahahaha! Hahahaha!」

His laughter mingled with the sound of a bullet being jammed

‘Shit, shit, shit!’

“No, no, no……. No, no, no……!”

Lee Eun-Woo shook his head, but there was nothing he could do to stop it.

His hand flared up, and flames burst forth.

With a crackle, embers burst out and enveloped his wrist.

The heat flashed past Lee Eun-Woo’s nose and… Lingered on his wrist.

Gulp.

I wondered if it was me or Lee Eun-Woo who was making those nervous swallowing sounds.

A moment of silence befell us.

My spine was tense and sweaty from the tension.

“Please….”

Lee Eun-Woo begged, miserably for mercy.

Alas. There was no stopping him.

Lee Eun-Woo screamed—

“Aaaahhhh!”

(T/N: NOOO! )

I could smell the flesh burning.

My hands shook with helplessness.

“Aaaahhhh! Stop, please, ugh, ugh, ugh…… aaaahhhh!”

There was nothing more horrifying to hear than the scream of a familiar voice.

Bang, bang.

A pointless gunshot rang out.

“If…Y–You’re after me, you might as well kill me!”

With a loud thud, I lunged forward, only to be blocked by a swarm of bats.

I drew my dagger and swung it wildly at the bats.

“Why don’t you do it to me, I’m the one who has business with you!”

「Hoohoohoo…. From the way you bounce, I’m guessing this is the way to go.」

“Did that bastard, son of b-tch Beelzebub tell you to do that? Don’t be a coward, do it to me!”

Thump, thump, thump!

I hit with all my might, but the swarm of bats didn’t collapse.

My legs gave out and I fell to the ground again.

「I thought I told you not to say his name casually like that, but apparently you’ve never learned your lesson.」

Lee Eun-Woo just watched in a daze as his wrist gradually burned away.

His nerves must have been damaged and he couldn’t feel pain anymore.

「Don’t worry. He’s not going to die yet. There will be a little blood loss though.」

He acted like he was doing me a great favor.

He looked like he was about to slit his wrists in to two.

‘No.’
