That evening Jiang Yuyan met Alex for dinner and returned to the Jiang residence.
As they sat for the dinner, Jiang Yuyan informed, “Mother, I met Alex today.”
It surprised her parents while Jiang Yang was not affected at all. He was expecting his sister to take such a decision and he was ready to see her fall. Whatever anyone will try to tell her, she would just do what she wanted.

She frowned and looked at her parents. “We have decided to get engaged but it won’t be announced outside. Just keep it between the families as I don’t want media attention. After that I will leave for the USA with you as Alex is returning there as well.”
So you have planned everything. Get engaged and then go to the USA and marry the guy there,” Jiang Yang commented.
”News will leak here so going to the USA is best to avoid all the attention,” she replied firmly.
Jiang Peizhi, who just heard his kids, said, “Are you sure. Did you really think about getting married to him? Did you like him?”
”He is a nice man and I guess it’s best for me,” Jiang Yuyan replied firmly and continued eating.
Though Mo Ruolan was happy for what her daughter had decided, she could not help but worry, “All these years you never listened to us then why so suddenly?”
”I think it’s the right time to move on now. The responsibilities I was waiting to fulfil, are there now and there is no need for my presence here to handle everything,” Jiang Yuyan replied.
Mo Ruolan nodded, “Fine! First I need to inform the Lu family and then later we will talk to the Choi family.”

The next day Lu Lian went to the office where she came across Ming Rusheng at the entrance of the building once she stepped out of the car. Before, coming to the office didn’t feel like what she was feeling at this moment. She was only an employee before but now she was the girlfriend of the president of this company.
Ming Rusheng went to her and looked at her smiling pleasantly. He was waiting to see her since the moment he had left her to Lu Mansion.
”How are you now?” he asked.

Inside the elevator, Ming Rusheng didn’t let go of Lu Lian’s hand.
”You surprised your employees. Entire office must be filled with gossip about their president,” Lu Lian commented.
”I am holding my woman’s hand and I don’t care what others think or talk,” Ming Rusheng replied.
The two reached their office floor where the receptionists and the both of their assistants welcomed them. The news had already reached them even before the couple could step out of the elevator. The pictures of Ming Rusheng and Lu Lian holding hands were being shared on the office chat groups.
The receptionists and the assistants were happy seeing it as they could not stop showing it in their faces with the wide smiles painted on their faces.
”Good morning, President Ming. Good Morning. Ms Lu.”
Ming Rusheng nodded and went to his office while still holding Lu Lian’s hand who had expected him to let go of her hand and allow her to go to her office but this man seemed to have a different plan.
Once they entered the president’s office, Lu Lian spoke, “Seems like you don’t plan on letting go of my hand.”
Ming Rusheng turned to look at her and said, still holding her hand, “I have a plan of holding this hand till the end of my life.”
”You sure have learned to say the right things at the right time,” she said feeling overwhelmed with what he had said and wondered if she was dreaming.
With his one hand he caressed her cheek and the light smirk painted on his lips and his eyes stared intently in her eyes while taking turn sight of her pink soft lips. “I have also learned to do the right thing at the right time.”
The way he looked at her, Lu Lian already understood what he meant. Ming Rusheng kissed her and she let him be. After getting a heartful taste of his woman, he let go of her and said while still bruising his lips on her wet ones. “It’s been just a day and I felt like I missed you a lot.”
”I missed you too,” she replied after catching her breath.
”Seems like I can’t stay away from you any more. Shall we get married?” he asked.
”I don’t mind but just wait for sometime. There are things in the family that need to be settled,” she replied.
”Then how about you move in with me?” he asked.
”I want to be but….how about I spend time with you once in a while?”
Ming Rusheng stared closely and intently in her eyes, “And that time should include the night…only you and me and….”
Lu Lian shut hip by putting her finger on his lips, “I know. I will try.”
He smirked, “Are you shy to hear it now? That night I remembered how much you wanted me.”
