A month passed since Lu Lijun left for England. During this month he was busy working and giving his best. The only moments of interaction between him and Jiang Yuyan were when they had video conference meetings where they only treated each other like working professionals. It was like a new start for him where he wished to do or think about nothing but his work.
They had set up a proper office in England where other than Noah and Lu Lijun, few more employees worked.
Jake also returned to England after the fight with Noah and the two were working along with Lu Lijun on the same project as Jake’s father made him in charge of all the projects associated with the Lu Corporations.
Ming Lan was still working outside and Wen Zac was waiting for her to return soon. Ming Rusheng somehow dodged his grandfather’s attempt of sending him and Lu Lian on vacation and focussed on his work and peaceful dating life with Lu Lian.

Jiang Yuyan and other department heads had the meeting with Lu Lijun just like the way it was happening the past one month.
Everyone was waiting for Lu Lijun to start the meeting. The last meeting they had was like a week back. The screen in front of the meeting table turned on and Lu Lijun appeared on the screen with Noah sitting on his side.
The meeting started when Lu Lijun and Noah started presenting the progress, facts and the next steps of the project. The department heads were suggesting things with Jiang Yuyan suggesting the better options.
Though she was focused on the meeting, her eyes didn’t fail to notice something was wrong with Lu Lijun. His face looked a little pale and she could see he was not well though he tried his best to hide it. Other than her, no one could notice it.
Once the meeting was over and all the department heads left, Jiang Yuyan talked to Xiao Min, “Is Lu Lijun not well?”
”Is he?” Xiao Min felt puzzled. Just a moment ago they finished meeting and Lu Lijun looked completely fine. “He didn’t look sick,” he said.
”Ask Noah about it,” she instructed and resumed her work.
”Yes, boss,” he said and was about to leave.
”Where are you going?” Jiang Yuyan asked as she continued working.
”Back to my office to make a call,” he replied.
She looked at him, “Does your cell phone fail to catch cellular range in my office?”
Her question puzzled him but he replied, “No, boss.”
She looked at the cellphone in his hand, “What are you waiting for then?”
”Oh..Yes, I’ll make a call from here,” Xiao Min said and dialled Noah’s contact number and put the mobile phone on speaker. He understood his boss wished to hear it personally.
Sharing the greetings and making sure Noah was not with Lu Lijun, Xiao Min asked, “How is the fourth young master?”
”He is fine,” Noah replied casually.
”Boss said…,” he stopped as Jiang Yuyan glared at him and changed his words, “I mean, during the meeting, I felt like he didn’t look so well.”
Though Xiao Min changed his world, Noah understood that Jiang Yuyan was the one to ask this. “He is fine but not fine as well. He skipped meals due to work and now must be feeling weak.”
”Shouldn’t you look after if he eats well or not?” Xiao Min asked.
”Apologies! I will take care of it,” Noah replied.
Xiao Min hung up the call and Jiang Yuyan instructed, “Keep checking with Noah daily and remind him to make sure Lu Lijun eats properly. Also, ask him not to let him work too much and sleep properly.”
”Yes, Boss.”
On the other side, Noah put his cellphone aside and sighed, “President Lu, I wish you could feel at least something for him. This much care but how is it possible to not feel anything at all? Both of you are good at hiding feelings and then taking them out like a volcano. Even after these many years and remembering that pain, I still feel for that idiot Jake then how come you are like a stone. I don’t believe it.”
Just then Lu Lijun entered his office, “Noah, did you look into the file that I told you to?”
”Mr Busy man came to my office personally,” Noah commented and nodded, “Yes I did and the report is ready.”
”Give it to me, I…”
”Calm down and have a seat first,” Noah said.
”I am in a hurry,” Lu Lijun replied, “Give me the file.”
Noah put the file on the table but before Lu Lijun could pick it up, he put his hand on it to stop him, “I am starving. First, have lunch with me.”
”I am not hungry yet,” Lu Lijun replied and was ready to get the file.
”I can’t eat when my boss can’t,” Noah insisted, “Please come with me.”
Lu Lijun looked at his wristwatch, “Make it fast.”
”Great,” Noah said and then dragged him out of the office, “Today I’ll treat you to a nice meal.”
Lu Lijun said nothing and followed him. They reached the restaurant where Noah asked, “What would you like to eat?”
Lu Lijun didn’t look interested in eating and instead looked like he was forced to come here, which was true.
”Fine, I’ll order for you. After living with you for long, I know what my man likes,” Noah said.
Lu Lijun frowned, “That second line, you should save it for someone else.”
Noah felt like it was the chance to make him talk and teased, “You are single and I wish to mingle so what’s bad in calling you, my man? Want to be my woman then?”
Lu Lijun glared at him and mumbled, “Asshole!”
”Hehe, love you too,” Noah teased again.
Even before Lu Lijun could say anything, the attendant arrived to take the order. After placing the order, Noah asked, “These days you are not eating well. Is there any issue?”
”I am fine. I just don’t feel like eating,” Lu Lijun replied.
”Shall we go to the doctor?”
”No need. Maybe because of the weather change. It will be fine soon.”
The two had food where Noah could see Lu Lijun didn’t eat much and felt worried, “Like this it will affect your health. Eat more,” he added more food to Lu Lijun’s dish.
