Beep-!

"Finally."

It has been a day since his meeting with Astesia. After it, he left for Kazimiers, the so-called "Country of the Knights". Only a few hours had passed when this notice popped up while driving his [Motored Cuirassier].

Stretching his arms, Shiro opened the mission panel.

[QUEST: A Selfless Choice]

Objective 1: Fulfill Kaname Madoka's wish

Objective 2: Defeat the Walpurgisnacht

Participants: Three (3) members of the Chat Group

Reward/s: 100,000 Points

Deadline: 12 hours after the QUEST is published

Note 1: The time in the participant's world will be stopped once the quest is accepted.

Note 2: Various Hidden QUESTS are scattered throughout this mission.

Note 3: Recommended Party Composition is with members that has peak combat power.

Note 4: The participant/s of this quest would be randomly penalized upon failure.

Upon seeing this, the first thing that he thought is...

"Strange..."

For some unknown reasons, he felt quite uneasy. Just the 100,000 Point reward is enough to form a sharp contrast to their previous mission. Though, it came off as reasonable since they wouldn't die before...

Roman: "I'm in."

Shiro: "It's not unexpected."

Shinji: "+1"

Shino: "+1"

Kouzuki: "+1"

Touka: "+1"

Kal'tsit: "+1"

Roman: "..."

Roman: "I'm only curious about them..."

Shiro: "Alright, alright... Since Roman's already participating, who else?"

Kal'tsit: "The third note."

Kal'tsit instantly pointed out that [Note 3], something that is crucial to the selection of the participants. It's also one of the reasons why Shiro and the rest felt its peculiarness. It's a magical girl-themed world, what would be the danger that it can hold?

One has to know that in the end of the day, these magical girls win... or at least be put into a draw. Even if they're defeated, there's no deaths.

Kouzuki: "It's the first time. If its asking for our strongest, wouldn't this be a dangerous mission?"

Touka: "Magical girls? Dangerous? I can't see the connection between them."

Roman: "Same. I'll be treating this mission as a vacation anyways~"

Shiro: "...You want to prolong your meeting date?"

Roman: "...Nope!"

Shiro: "I believe you, alright."

What Shiro mentioned is the Third Singularity, Okeanos. There, his father, King David, will be summoned as a Heroic Spirit.

Kuroneko: "If it's the strongest, wouldn't it be Shiro, Touka, and Roman?"

Kouzuki: "That's right. Too bad my reward is a growth-type one..."

The main reason why Touka is hailed as one of the strongest is due to her [Tyrant's Eye]. It's simply too broken, allowing her to re-write reality at a certain distance, in her domain so as to speak. Even though it consumes her mind and mana, it's still broken.

What's more, her mental power elevated to an all-time high the moment she received it. Though, her mind continued to grow gradually, empowering her even more. Right now, Shiro confirmed that Touka has a near-maxed out Willpower stats while her mental power is comparable to a 5th stage Demigod.

Perhaps, it happened so that she can process the visual information from her eye; an adaptation of sorts.

This made it possible for her to contend against Servants and even Divine Spirits—all because of her authorities through [Tyrant's Eye]. As for Roman... he has the [Void Archives].

It's enough.

Kuroneko: "It's not like I like magical girls... I'll pass this one."

Kouzuki: "Same goes for me."

Shinji: "I'm still weak."

Shino: "It's also a pass for me..."

Shiro sat comfortably in his [Motored Cuirassier] as he asked Kal'tsit.

Shiro: "How about you, Doctor Kal'tsit?"

Kal'tsit: "...Pass."

Roman: "Touka?"

Touka: "If there's no one else, I'm fine with joining... I'm also interested in meeting those magical girls."

Shiro: "It's settled then. Do we accept it right now?"

Roman: "I'm fine with it."

Touka: "Me too."

Shiro: "Alright. See y'all in a second!"

Kal'tsit: "Good luck."

Kuroneko: "+1"

Shinji: "+1+

Kouzuki: "+1"

Shino: "+1"

Tapping the [Accept] button, Shiro saw a timer go down.

Unbeknownst to him and the other two, this mission will be full of twists and turns...

*****

"A basement?" Shiro muttered before continuing, "Another dimension? What the hell..."

He started venturing this dark and dreary basement. Old and slightly rusted chains are hanging in the ceiling, but the cemented pillars are as sturdy as it can get.

Tap-! Tap-!

Suddenly, his vision changed. A couple of butterfly wings adored this strange sight, all the while cardboard-cutouts of sunflowers, iron cages, and people dressed in theatric costumes revolved around him.

"This is the enemies?"

With his [Six Eyes], Shiro found out that these creepy things are the amalgamation of... dark emotions. While he didn't personally see Angra Mainyu, he saw an Alter Servant during his visits on Chaldea.

Through that findings, he connected it to this environment.

"How could dark emotions manifest such as this..?"

Boom-! Boom-! Boom-!

Boom-! Boom-! Boom-!

This time, he heard the sound of hundreds of guns firing. They made an explosive sound for a second before an earthquake occurred. The ground rumbled for a while before stopping.

Just as he sensed being sent back to his previous location, the surface dimension, he smiled and said: "This thing's sentient? Wait a minute..."

Three ninth-circle magics revolved in his right hand, with each glowing in light blue colors. Faint silhouettes of stars can be seen from it—the sign of it being [Space Magic].

More than a fourth of his mana reserves was depleted with this. Though, it soon got replenished a second later.

Rumble-!

The entire space quaked for a moment before stabilizing itself once more. Then, a series of runes appeared in front of him.

{das sind mir unbekannte blumen.}

A second later, it vanished before being replaced by:

{Kein durchgang zutritt.}

It also lasted for a second before disappearing.

"German?" Shiro said as he translated those runes in his head. "So... 'Unknown flower to me' and 'No Access'? It really has sentience..?"

Soon, he came to a decision. He undid his [Blindfold], revealing to the world his mesmerizing eyes once more. A glint passed onto it, which indicated him using its powers to the fullest.

From the creepy place filled with scary flowers on conveyor belts, his view changed. Layers and layers of it were unfurled, making him see more unsightly things. This made his view towards this seemingly normal magical girl world turn for the worse.

"How is this world light-hearted? These are red flags!" He said.

Soon, he saw its "deepest" layer. There, he saw a black jewel with a pointy end, just like a bee's.

"This... This is not it..."

Urging it more, Shiro used up all his power, something that can match up a 1st Rank Demigod, to see through that black jewel. Even when he saw it, he had a strange feeling that it isn't it!

That something's inside it...

Thanks to it, he managed to see through that "deepest" layer. In it, he saw...

"What the... fuck..."

Shiro got visibly shocked, but he decided to release this 'being', cancelling his [Space Magic]. With his Wisdom stat being at the mid-2000's due to [Six Eyes], he can react fast enough to replenish his spent mana.

If he'd wanted to, he would've trapped it despite spending all his mana a moment ago. But, the reason why he chose to let it go is because of what he'd seen.

It's too terrible to the point that he spared it out of pity; he has a power related to "holy" which can eliminate this entity easily.

He came back to the real world, still shocked, while having thousands of thoughts run inside his head. Since a second might be as well an entire minute inside his head, it took him 3 seconds to snap back to reality.

Tap-! Tap-!

Though, what greeted him is a girl with long black hair. A surprise can be seen on his black pupils as she stared back at his starry orange pupils.

"Who..?"

*****

Fact #67: "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" translates to Young Girl: Magician Madoka. But, if we bring in the context of it (the dark theme), it can be translated to: "Slave of the Deceiver: Magician Madoka". Puella (Latin) means 'young girl', but it's derived from Puerulus, which can mean 'young slave'. Meanwhile, Magi can both mean 'Deceiver' or 'Magician', the former in which is the closest derivation. Thus, we end up with 'Slaves (Magical Girls) of the Deceiver (Kyuubey & Incubators)'. That's also why 114 is titled as 'The Deceived'.
