Shackles.

For some unknown reason, Shiro's blood began boiling the moment he got paralyzed. While they all have a concrete plan as to how they'll break this paralysis state, he somehow felt a foreign emotion budding inside him.

Anger.

Rather, it is right to say that it didn't came from himself, but his bloodline - the Fenrir bloodline to be exact.

In the past, Shiro got some time to research something about its myths, and what he found out are two major things: Odin and Gleipnir. The former being the one that Fenrir had killed while the latter is the chain that successfully bound him.

As to how those are related to Shiro's Fenrir bloodline, he doesn't know. Still, his Fenrir form semi-manifested, giving him a boost in his stats.

Even now, he somewhat felt like daydreaming. Shiro's fully aware on what's happening, but he felt somewhat strange. Though, he paid it no heed since eliminating the one that triggered him comes first.

Clang-! Clang-!

Clang-! Clang-!

A shield and a pair of blades clashed one after another, creating a loud metallic sound in this boss room.

Unlike Kirito's sword strikes, Shiro's are more aggressive. Although, Kayaba couldn't see any openings in this 'reckless' attack of his. Shiro's balance, stance, and even the way of wielding his swords are perfect in his eyes. Moreover, it didn't seem as if fatigue is affecting him negatively.

At one point in time, Shiro's dual blades lit up. However, Kayaba isn't the least bit moved by it. After all, he created the set of sword skills in every unique skill.

Just as what its name indicates, is meant for a swordsman to dance in the battlefield with his swords. Coupled with the stringent requirements that it has, he added in one special skill for it, which also possesses the same name as the Unique Skill.

Simply put, allows its wielder to bring his expertise in the real world to the game as it allows them to create it as a sword skill. While it has a limit of 30-hits, the degree of freedom that it gives made it a huge variable in this battle.

"Show me what you have." Kayaba asked with a calm voice.

"You're asking for this..."

The black sword in his right hand lit up. In the same manner as , he charged using it towards Kayaba.

Sou-!

Due to its speed, the sound of cutting through air resounded. Golden streaks of light covered the blade, blazing like flames. This made his blade have longer reach, in which it clashed with Kayaba's white shield  prematurely.

Ding-!

Screeech-!

Scraping sounds were made as Kayaba skillfully made his blade slide past through it, making Shiro move forward in the same manner as Kirito did in their duel.

Kayaba then rose his longsword and was about to slash it down when he saw Shiro put a stop on his charge and swiftly made a cross block position.

He realized what was going on, but it is too late to pull his sword back.

Clang-!

The instant the blades met, Shiro's blades lit up as he used , the final skill that took his skill slot. Unlike the fake parry that he uses, which is mostly him brute-forcing it, this skill is the true one from the game.

It allowed someone to make their attacker defenseless once executed properly! This skill is absolute and only by failing could it be prevented Though, everything has to be done in less than a second, thus the reason why the entire NEXUS guild is able to overpower those bosses.

In less than half a second, Kayaba's longsword was almost sent flying - the parry is successful.

While his left side is protected by his shield, his entire right side was undefended when he lost his balance. How would Shiro miss this golden opportunity?

Slash-! Stab-!

He sent two strikes, with the slash pre-occupying the shield while he stabbed at Kayaba's waist. Just as the left stab is about to connect, Shiro felt time coming to a halt.

Kayaba's body, which couldn't react quickly, suddenly moved quickly.

By the time everything went back to normal, another strike was sent to his right arm, making him lose grip over his sword.

Clang-!

Shiro's sword managed to connect with it, depleting his HP as a result. Though, there's still a portion of it remaining.

"So you're confident that you'll withstand a full-powered strike. Considering that your equipment is over-leveled, that just seems right." Shiro mumbled as he continued, "But that's still cheating, no?"

"I couldn't help but instinctively use it."   Kayaba replied while he mused. "As for the latter,  you're definitely right. That's why... I'll only use it three more times."

Hearing this, he couldn't help but chuckle. The same Kayaba that stayed true to his word when he got killed by Kirito... is willing to cheat?

Perhaps, their presence had really changed this world greatly.

"Three more times, huh." Shiro paused for a while, opening the Chat Group's template panel.

=========

Level: 120

STR: 83 (+100)

AGI: 100 (+120)

WIS: 250

=========

Ever since he reached Level 120, which is the maximum level, he officially became the strongest player of this game. He thought that fighting against Kayaba would not pose much of a problem, but he's wrong.

Not only does he have that over-assistance cheat that'll save his life three times, his gear is also top leveled, with each around for level 110.

Even with more than 17 of his abilities synchronized here, he'll have quite the trouble even if he use them.

Of course, there's the option of using magic as well, but the one thing that they'd thought the most is Kayaba going back to his promise. If he'd just decided to be revived due to seeing their unfair abilities, they won't be able to complete this QUEST. They have to make him be eliminated 'willingly', just like the canon where he fried his brain cells himself.

He's the game master, thus he knows what he enabled or not; he's not gullible like Cardinal who would misunderstand something.

Granted, he placed guns and magic inside The Seed, but he didn't place it inside Aincrad. If not for them knowing that Cardinal couldn't interact with Kayaba and vice versa, they wouldn't use their magic at all.

Of course, there's a chance of convincing him that everything's possible with willpower (just like in the anime), but they'd rather not take any chances.

Meaning, they would have to defeat him the true way, which is the use of swords. Though, there's some abilities that would enable him an easier win...

...Something that he used just now.

', , ...'

With the addition of these skills, his STR and AGI went up by 100 each. Meanwhile, enhanced his AGI further by 100 while allowing his body to react more in sync with his reaction time.

His MP went down, but he didn't care.

'His HP... I shaved it off greatly. It's a good thing that I didn't use .' He thought.

Since Kayaba's STR is far lower than his, the damage would also be lower than he wanted it to be when countered. With two or more graze, he'll go down, or so he thought.

"Ready for another round?" Shiro taunted him as he adjusted his stance.

Unnerved, Kayaba replied, "Okay."

Another wave of sparks were sent out by their confrontation. The screeching and clanging of metal were the only sounds in this wide boss room while the others are busy watching their intense fight.

Unbeknownst to them, some players are about to break their constraints. They only laid low, waiting for the right moment to break it - they'll only be granted a few seconds at best, except for Roman and Kal'tsit who has a naturally strong soul before.

Only they would be able to stay unhindered by the paralysis using sheer willpower. That's why he'd already broken it.

Murderous intent flew out between Shiro and Kayaba until the former managed to force the latter to rely on his over-assistance once again.

"Gotcha. That's the first one." Shiro commented as he charged at him. What others didn't know is that he has a bloody smile under his mask.

This time, he's not giving him any chances to breathe.

*****

Fact #41: There's a country in Terra called Laterano. It is none other than the country that invented originum guns. As such, EACH of its adult citizens are mandated to have one after they passed the test. Meaning, you'll see almost every adult out there having a handgun or an Assault Rifle while walking in the street. They're also bound by something called "The Law", which ordered the survival of the Sankta Race as their utmost priority. It also gave them the power similar to the Sarkaz: sensing emotions of other Sankta as well as instill strong emotions in all of them. For some reasons, the Sankta race also has the highest affinity to originum guns, unlike any other race. Be that as it may, they don't allow any Sarkaz to step in their country (due to their thousand-year long conflict).

Oh yeah, their citizens are also free to demolish buildings as long as it doesn't come in conflict with their "13 Rights of Citizenship". They might have to pay for collateral damage, though.
