225 Ch. 225 Welcome To Etros
Anxia entered a very old-looking cargo plane and obediently followed the girl named Mei Yin and sat down on one of the long green chairs some distance away from the girl’s sitting position.
Apart from the two of them, other passengers came from eastern Europe. On average, they were dressed in all black and dark green like military men, and their figures as large as giants made Anxia uncomfortable.
But when she didn’t feel any animosity between them and Mei Yin seemed to be sleeping peacefully, only then was Anxia able to relax her muscles.
She closed her eyes to rest her eyelids because she didn’t sleep at all last night because of making love to her husband. She felt exhausted and wanted to rest. However, her brain wouldn’t allow her to sleep, and during the trip, she stayed awake even though Anxia closed her eyelids.
All her muscles and nerves told her to stay alert and not let her guard down so that Anxia couldn’t sleep.
After what felt like forever, Anxia could feel the plane was about to land. She started to hear the voices of people speaking in a foreign language she didn’t understand, and the voices were getting more active, showing their enthusiasm.
“Hey, we’re here.”
Anxia opened her eyes to see Mei Yin smiling broadly at her, but Anxia couldn’t bring herself to smile back. Ever since she lived with Richard in London, Anxia had gotten used to being friendly to everyone she met. The other person’s smile would easily infect her so Anxia would smile too. She could even be friendly towards small children like Lori’s friends and get along well with the other mothers when the school holds a parent-teacher meeting.
However, Anxia couldn’t smile... she couldn’t even force herself to smile here as if she had returned to her old past.

“Why do you look so scary? Never mind.” Mei Yin continued indifferently, then walked towards the exit.
Anxia followed suit and squinted her eyes when the light from outside assaulted her eyes, trying to get used to the light, given there was barely any light in the area during the flight.
Then, Anxia walked out, following Mei Yin, and gasped at what she saw.
From west to east, she could see beautiful mountains and seas—she could even see something in the sky like the tip of a pillar of a palace she had seen on Halstat island. The air here was also very fresh, and the aura around here made her feel like being in a village in the mountains.
What place is this?
“Welcome to Etros—our main headquarters establishment.”
Anxia shifted her gaze and once again glanced at Mei Yin, who was still wearing a big smile… and Anxia still didn’t want to return that smile.
“Our? So… you still have a boss?” Anxia had already guessed that this girl couldn’t possibly be working alone. Some colleague or superior must have told the girl to bring her here.
“You will find out later. Let’s go.” Mei Yin exclaimed in an enthusiastic tone.
The two of them took a boat to a private island with a vast and magnificent mansion in the Roman era. During the trip, Anxia did not respond to or answer any of the girl’s conversations. She still didn’t think Mei Yin was her ally, so she didn’t want to get involved with the girl any further.
As soon as their boat docked at a small pier, Anxia followed Mei Yin down, and the two were greeted by a middle-aged man with a monocle in one eye.
“Welcome home, Miss Mei Yin. Master wants you to take her to the dungeons.”
“Ha? Why?”
“I’m only delivering a message.”
“Okay.”
Anxia raised an eyebrow when she saw the confused look on the girl next to her. And also... how could a local man speak Chinese so fluently? The way he spoke and the tone of every word he said was so eloquent that if Anxia closed her eyes, she would think the person speaking was an eastern individual.
Without saying much, Mei Yin led Anxia to the back of the mansion, where beautiful flowers surrounded a lake. Then Anxia saw Mei Yin walking towards a square trash can. The trash can stuck to the mansion’s wall and sank into the ground. The girl opened the cover and then glanced at her to follow the girl.
Apparently, the square box was not a trash can, as she thought, but a door leading underground... or, like the older man said... the dungeons.
Anxia couldn’t help but wonder about the identity of the individual who had brought her here. What are their goals for threatening her using her dearest people?
If Anxia hadn’t seen that last picture, Anxia would not have followed Mei Yin to this place. That last image was a video containing a lot of images. And it showed the image from the newborn Lori until now. Evidently, the person who wanted her had been spying on Lori for the past five years, and Anxia had been entirely oblivious to it.
This person indirectly told her he could kidnap Lori and harm her if Anxia didn’t comply. Because of that, Anxia decided to go and had to leave Lori’s protection to her husband.

She had not beaten people to her heart’s content in a long time. How could she miss this golden opportunity?
