“Magic is not given to everyone who wants it! Villagers can’t even get a spellbook, but most of you here are aristocrats right? You lived a sheltered life, that’s why you don’t know.”

Pain attacked the Snakemans body eliciting screams of pain, he arched his back and his face contorted in pain.

He was shaking but he looked confident.

Robert stared at me Dumbledore.
“Magic is used to save people, it’s not just for killing.”
I had no choice but to ridicule him.

I responded with action, the snakemans right arm disappeared into particles of light.

Blood began flowing from the snake man’s shoulder.
“《Heal》”
So I healed his wound.
“Certainly, magic is not just about killing people.”
Robert look scared. But all I did was exactly as he said. I took the snake man’s arm then healed him.
“Its just like you said, it can be used to save people as well, we saw thst just now right?”
“Stop it, that’s enough! You promised not to use it anymore right!?”
The principal interjected.
“Could you shut your mouth? When it comes to the abyss I’m the interest party. I don’t have any use for ignorant sermons.”
Then Patrick appeared with Yui and Sarah.
“Nito….nothings going to come of this.”

Sarah and Yui were glaring at me.
“Patrick, aren’t you over exaggerating? This is just some advice.”
Sarah was staring at the mask as if she wanted to say something, she then opened her mouth.
“That eye..half of you is stained but this magic… I see, so you were originallyー”
“Stop snooping, I hate being looked at objectively.”
I ignored Patrick and resumed class.
“This is perfect, Patrick is from Razhousen. The empire attacked Razhousen but I happened to be there and stopped it. But what would you do in that situation? If the country you worked for was attacked by the empire and you were ordered to respond, could you still say that it has nothing to do with you?”
I looked at their facial expressions.
“This isn’t an extreme story, this actually happened! In the past the empire waged war across the entire continent right? And now, in recent years it turns out that the empire has been acting in secret! They came here to attack didn’t they? It seems strange doesn’t it?”
I took out the executioners axe from my storage and swung it down on the snakemans other arm.

I cut the snake man’s legs off.

It seems like the snakeman forgot to scream, was my magic too effective at first?

I turned around slowly.

It was a good idea to send Toa and the others back after all.
“This woman is ready to die. She’s so scared that she’s seeking death. Do you understand? This is reality.”
I pointed to the snake man and spoke more clearly.
“You never know what’s going to happen! Peace will not last for ever! Most countries already expect the empire to make a move! In fact, some countries have already asked me to help them destroy the empire!”
I looked at the woman.
“Shall I torture you and have you tell me what the empire’s aim is? ….I’m joking.”
They probably don’t know anything anyway. If the empire was up to something then I don’t think they’d send anyone here who knew about it.
“You grew up in peace, sheltered, so you haven’t noticed. What do you think you’re practicing for? Some school competition? No, this is a scouting session for countries. And it’s already begun!”
It’s not exactly true but let them think that. Well showing them is the quickest way.
“They came here to kill my companion, but they don’t know why do they? Or what they were up against. They were just disposable pawns. You might be the same someday. Because if the number of people decreases they can always just invest more in the academy.”

“You’re the same as the meat we eat everyday. You’re placed into the system to die, you become mages to die.”

She’s annoying.
“Thats just your prejudice.”

She tries to convince me but, I’ve been hurt by human deception before. But I don’t feel this from her…do I believe her?
“Blind faith is stupid… very human.”
I ignored the principal and ended class.
