Five hours after the match between Nem and Patrick the finals were about to begin. The one who appeared in the field facing Nem was the winner of the left side bracket Copan. However this was strange and even Nem tilted her head in confusion. No matter how you looked at it Copan looked scared.
Copan had originally intended to Abstain from the match but the deadline had passed before he could submit his notice. As such he was forced to participate because of the magical contract.
However in Copans first match his opponent never showed and he was declared the victor. In his second match his opponent overslept, the third his opponent suffered food poisoning and was forced to withdraw. In the fourth match his opponent surrendered because her boyfriend had broke up with her and she lost her fighting spirit.
In the semi finals his opponent tripped on the step when entering the field and knocked himself unconscious. In other words Copan had reached the finals without ever fighting.
“Whats wrong? You look sick.”
At Nems worried question Copan drew up his courage after the rules had been announced and shouted.
“I abstain!”
Copan raised his right hand and shouted looking confident for some reason.
“………..huh?”
The person in charge of broadcasting the rules let out a stupid voice.

The award ceremony was held in the middle of the field.
First place Nem.
Second place Copan.
Third place Patrick.
Because Copan abstained Patrick was automatically given third place.
“Uーuhm.”
Patrick raised his hand.
“Whats wrong?”
Sabrina asked.
“I want to Abstain from the school matches as well.”
Sabrina’s face cramped in anger.
“Would you mind doing that after the award ceremony.”
“O…..ok…”
Copan quieted under the principals glare.
“This marks the end of the deciding matches!”
Sabrina announced.
“Next, I have an announcement!”
She announced that Copan had declined to participate in the matches.
“As such, Patrick will be put into second place and third place had been left vacant.”
Sabrina then called out another name.
“Alice Cresta, is she here!?”
Alice stood up in response the the principals words.
“As principal I hereby congratulate you on coming in third. What will you do?”
Alice was confused by the question.
“I’m sorry, I cannot accept.”
However the answer was not what Sabrina had expected.
“What do you mean?”
“It was my loss this time, as such I cannot participate regardless of the reason. I will devote myself to preparing for next year.”
Sabrina grew more frustrated.
“I see.”
Then a student suddenly stood up.
“I’ll do it! Teacher please let me participate in third place!”
The one who had called out was none other, than Masamune.
