“Masamune!”

Kotori? …..Why?

I was at a loss for words, the same thing just kept running through my head over and over. Why, why does she know it’s me? She should have thought I was dead. Francesca even published an article labeling me as dead and Ichijo as missing.

“Masamune….what is it?”

“D….did you need something? My name is Nito.”

“I can tell by listening to your voice, it’s a voice that I’ve listened to forever.”

What is she talking about? We haven’t spoken since elementary school?

“You were alive….Masamune.”

Why is she crying? No, more importantly it’s not good that she knows I’m alive.

“Nito?”

“Its not a problem, be quiet for a moment.”

Toa looked at me as if asking ‘who is this women’ but if her and Sufilia get involved now it will cause more issues.

“I don’t understand, are our voices similar? As I said before I’m not Masamune, I’m Nito.”

Kotori looked at me with watery eyes.

“I’m guessing they were pretty important to you?”

I have nothing more to say, when I was at my lowest not she nor anybody else helped me. I lived a bleak existence everyday, when I tried to get out of it by killing myself I was brought to this world. And now the three people who are with me are my world, I don’t need someone unrelated trying to pollute my world.

“Lets go to a bar on the way home, it’s been a while since I’ve had a drink.”

I said that and turned my back on ‘it’.

“S, sure.”

Toa seemed to be worried about the girl standing there in tears.

“I wanted to go looking for you back then with Ichijo! But I had no power, now though, I’m a senior blacksmith! I can even use advanced magic! ”

" "

That thing behind me is pretty loud.

“I can help you now! I’m sure I would be useful to you!”

For some reason Sufilia stopped.

“Hm? What’s wrong Sufilia? Let’s go you like Alcohol right?”

“Y, yeah….I do. Let’s go.”

What? Did she just stop for no reason then? How strange.

“Shall we check out the stalls?”

Haaaaa, how annoying.

“I don’t mind.”

“Theres two days until the matches we should enjoy our time until then.”

“Its a festival!”

After Masamune left the cheering began to die down and soon the only people left there were Saeki and the other summoned heros.

“Saeki what were you thinking!?”

Kawachi was the first to speak up.

“Shut up.”

On the other hand it seemed like Saeki hadn’t accepted reality yet.

“Saeki, are you ok?”

Kida looked worried.

“Anyway Saeki, do you not know how bad it is for a mage not to be able to measure the magical power of their opponent?”

Joanna looked at Saeki stunned.

“I got it, but I couldn’t even feel his magic power, I couldn’t see anything but that stupid disguise.”

“You mean the dwarf mask? I feel like I’ve seen it somewhere before. But more importantly Saeki is too overconfident.”

“What?”

“What did you think that his magic power was small because you couldn’t feel it? ”

Saeki didn’t seem to understand the question.

“Of course, he either had limited magic power or not at all right? That’s why I couldn’t feel it.”

Joanna sighed heavily.

“There is no such thing as not having magic power in this world. Not being able to feel someone’s magic power means their magic is several times greater than yours.”

“Huh?”

“Do you not get it Saeki?”

David chimed in as well.

“For instance, can a level one feel the magic power of a level 60?”

“Yeah, of course they can.”

“Correct so with a difference of 60 the magical power can still be felt, you understand so far right?”

Saeki looks confused.

“Then how great does the difference he to be for you to not feel the difference?”

Everyone turned to look at who just spoke.

“Kyogoku, are you ok?”

Kawachi asked.

“Yeah, that bastard. If that girl hadn’t of helped I might have really died. Like he said right Saeki, if this wasn’t school you and I may have been killed.”

Kyogoku admitted his loss.

“So? Continue?”

Kyogoku gestured to David who started up again.

“Right, there’s a story of a level 30 mage who felt the magic power of a level 100 dragon as well. ”

Kyogoku stood up slowly.

“I see a difference of 70 huh? That’s not exactly helpful though.”

“Right, in our world there’s a rare fairytale about not being able to feel someone’s magic power. But that’s all it is.”

“Well whatever, all I care about is if he’s strong or weak.”

Kyogoku looked bored and left.

“Saeki, don’t mess with mister Nitoー”

“I got it!”

Saeki already knew he couldn’t win, if Kyogoku admitted his loss then Saeki was sure.

“I didn’t think you were this childish Saeki.”

Kawachi said.

“What?”

Saeki glared at her.

“Youre not going to scare me off just because you looked at me like thT! What are you upset that you’re a representative now!? Your opponent is an S rank adventurer, a dungeon clearer, and a hero! You should feel honored to participate in this!”

Saeki couldn’t say anything back.

“What, did you think it was embarrassing or something you idiot? That’s why you’re childish, acting like you’re going to lose face or something.”

She’s right, even though he is know a bit between the students he’s still unknown to the world.

“Saeki, you need to take a good look at yourself.”

Koizumi spoke gently.

“The both of us are too arrogant, we need to take a look at and deal with our childishness from now on. If you have a problem we’re all here, we all came here from Japan and we should stick together.”

Saeki felt nauseous. That’s the first reaction he had to that, he wanted to ask what was wrong with her but at the same time he really didn’t want to hear what she had to say.

“I’m not going to run around holding hands with you weaklings. I’m trying to get stronger, I don’t need creepy friends like you people.”

“Saeki I gave up on you once, I thought you’d never admit to killing Hidaka. Once you grow up and expand your horizons I’m sure you one day face that sin. And when you do we’ll all be here for you. ”

“Why are you saying something like that!?”

“It doesn’t have to be now. But when the time comes you can rely on me.”

“You’re misunderstanding something! I don’t regret anything! I didn’t kill him! He killed himself because he was incompetent!”

“Youre impossible.”

Koizumi ignored what Saeki was saying and turned her back on him.

“You can’t survive in this world.”

The other summoned heros turned their backs on Saeki one by one and left.

“I’m not wrong!”

Saeki’s voices echoed through the venue.

Patrick was watching what happened from a distance. He was worried because Nito had fought with a Fishnatica student and was monitoring what happened after. For now Patrick was still unaware that Nito was a summoned hero but he felt like Nito showed an Abnormal amount of hostility. Of course no man would let another man touch his woman but this seemed a little over the top.
