The lightning began to converge around him forming the shape of a person that appeared to be walking forward.
“Ichijo, Please support me.”
In that moment both of them disappeared while the demons searched for the source behind the wave of such concentrated magical power.
“There!”
One of the demons pointed up into the sky but it was already too late.
“《Rain of lightning》!”
A large magic circle appeared in the sky as innumerable lightning bolts began to fall from the sky. Any demon that was hit by them had their heart stopped and their skin charred.
“Amazing.”
Ichijo said without thinking. The other demons who were watching a large amount of their friends dying stopped laughing and instead grew angry. Ichijo turned his attention back towards the demons and prepared to attack again when he noticed a shadow fly directly towards Braums.
“What!”
Ichijo stopped and looked up into the sky as Braums arm blocked the foot of a blue demon.
“You’re not an ordinary person are you? My name is Kaiser Shastain, nice to meet you… Human.”
“Shastain?….. I see, so you’re royalty.”
This was the demon that Masamune had let escape before.
“Hrunn”
Braums kicked at Kaiser putting distance between them.
“So you enslave a spirit and use it’s power however you want? As expected of humans.”
‘He sounds a little crazy doesn’t he?’
“Please don’t get angry Voluto, He’s trying to provoke us.”
‘Hmmmm’
Kaiser began to cast magic.
“《Burning stake》!”
Four fireballs flew towards Braums.
“Kuh!”
They stuck to Braums’ hands and feet still burning.
“What is this? I don’t feel the heat from them but….”
In the next moment Kaiser let out a loud scream and increased the power of the flames.
“Kaaaaa!”
The flames that were stuck to Braums hands and feet suddenly spread across his body. It spread his arms and legs to make it look as though he had been crucified.
“This is an execution!”
When Kaiser said this a large flame engulfed Braums completely.
“Hahahahaha!”
Kaiser laughed loudly. Braum could no longer be seen as the fire burned furiously. However after a moment there was an electrical discharge that blew the flames away.
“What!?”
Floating in the air was Braums with a sphere of electricity surrounding him.
“I thought you would be the same as the other demons so I was on guard.”
‘You still have a bad habit of doing things like this. You’re not a kid anymore you know.”
“I will do my best to change it.”
‘No you’re too old already. You’re paying attention to how much magic power you’re using right? If you run out you won’t be able to use my power either you know. So make sure you’re paying attention.”
“I know.”
Braums searched for Fiora on the ground.
“Fiora!”
Fiora looked up to see that Braums was fighting in the sky.
“Please support Ichijo!”
“Understood!”
Fiora immediately went over to join to Ichijo.
“I’ve heard that were weak but it looks like some of them are crazy. You’re a red guy aren’t you?”
“Red?”
Braums was momentarily reminded of Nito’s mask.
“Now! Lets go! Kill those guys and search for the demon king’s daughter!”
“Demon kings daughter?”
Braums heard what the demon’s reason for coming here was for the first time but he was curious where they thought they would find such a person.
“Could the daughter of the demon king really be here?”
He wasn’t able to even begin to understand what was going on. Soon afterwards the battle between the two of them resumed.
Ichijo was watching what was going on from down below.
“Ichijo, we need to fall back!”
“Okay!”
At Fiora’s suggestion the two of them put some distance between themselves and the demons. Kaiser had successfully stalled Braums plan to wipe out the demons.
“Apparently we have no choice but to do this.”
“I intended to do so from the beginning.”
Ichijo wasn’t scared but he wasn’t sure how long his magic power would last. The more he fought the more his reserves decreased. However he couldn’t just stop attacking so he was stuck in a vicious cycle.
“Don’t look away!”
Ichijos reaction was delayed and he took an arrow to the shoulder.
“Guh!”
Ichijo backed off bleeding from his left shoulder. The demons laughed at him as all over the battlefield the number of mages opposing them slowly decreased in number and their moral fell. Fiora came to stand in front front of him and began to shoot arrows made of light at the enemy.
“Ichijo! Are you alright?”
She tried to confirm his safety as she shot arrow after arrow.
“It’s not a problem.”
Ichijo ripped the arrow from his shoulder and summoned Excalibur back to his hand. Then together he and Fiora charged back into the fray.
Meanwhile Oswald was running around the battlefield as he manipulated Braums giant, sending it to support other mages. However the giant had already lost his weapon.
“Oswald!”
At that time, Sabrina and Patrick arrived on the battlefield.
