With the appearance of the S rank cyclops an emergency evacuation warning was issued throughout the capital. The battle against high ranking monsters didn’t have an end in sight and the struggle continued.
“《Cat Rage》!”
Nem hit a wyvern in the face, although it may have surprised the monster it wasn’t enough to deal damage to it. With most of the remaining adventurers struggling with the wyvern, Nem who was only level 10 didn’t have much of a chance.
“Nem fall back!”
Toa called out worried.
“No! Nem will be useful!”
“Nem!”
A cockatrice flew directly at Nem.
“Dodge it!”
The cockatrice’s wings kicked up a large dust cloud hiding Nem from view. Desperate Toa stared into the cloud trying to spot Nem.
“Nem!”
Toa shouted at a shadow she saw in the dust cloud but it wasn’t Nem.

“Huh? Sierra?…….Sierra!”
It wasn’t Nem in the cockatrice’s grasp but Sierra, her right shoulder caught in its beak, petrified. But Sierra gave as good as she got, a rapier made if ice was stuck deep into the cockatrice’s neck.
“Sierra?”
Seeing how Sierra had shielded her Nem was at a loss for words as tears ran down her face.
“Nem, don’t worry, I might not be able to move my right arm very well but I still have my left.”
“I’m sorry!”
Toa decapitated the cockatrice and pulled it off of Sierra.
“Sierra, drink this!”
Toa handed her a healing potion.
“Thank you.”
But it wasn’t enough to completely heal her arm.
“There’s no need to rush, Nem just do things that you’re capable of. I say that but I don’t have any strength either, even though I’m. White knight I’m still holding everyone back, it’s pathetic. But if you rush in you’ll only be wasting your life.”

Sierra stood up slowly.
“Nem you’re going to get stronger, you’ll travel the world with Toa and Masamune getting stronger and stronger. So don’t throw your life away here.”
“I understand…..I’m sorry.”
Nem wiped her tears.
“I’m sorry for saying that, but Nem I have a request.”
Sierra looked at Toa, a mysterious expression on her face.
“Toa, have you noticed how the monster’s look?”
“How they look?”
“The nootkerane from before, it was empty, it didn’t have any insides. Which means, it was already dead.”
“Thats…”
“In other words they’re already corpses which means we’re most likely dealing with Necromancy. It’s a rare kind of magic, Reinhardt should have noticed it as well.”
“So, what about it?”
“Nem there’s something I want you to do for me. ”
“Nem?”
“Yes, there is some sort of magic keeping us from finding out where the enemy is. I’ve used detection magic but it seems like even if we find it there’s something keeping us from being aware of the source. So I need Nem to find it. ”
“Come to think of it, Nem’s sense of smell is really sharp isn’t it?”
“I don’t know? Although there has been something really stinky the whole time we’ve been here.”
“Its probably the smell of monsters?”
“No i don’t think it’s the monster’s, it smells like old lady.”
“Like old lady? What does that mean?”
“It smells kind if like Sharon, but it’s not Sharon.”
“Do toy mean perfume? Nem, where’s it coming from?”
Nems nose twitch as she sniffed the air.
“If you can just give me a direction that’s good enough.”
“Over there.”
Nem pointed in the direction of a small hill.

“It should be around there but, I can’t sense anything. Can you?”
“I can’t sense anything either. ”
Per Reinhardt’s orders Hilda and Edward arrived at the small hill. It had an easy view of the battlefield but wasn’t high enough that you could see the town.
“It seems like this wasn’t the right place.”
“Lets head back, the cyclops is quite strong.”
The two of them could see the other white knights struggling.
“Although this does seem like it would be a very strategic position.”
” I know right.”
The two of them prepared to leave.
“《Malicious Penetration》!”
The two knights looked back at the same time sensing the magic power.
“Gaha!”
But they noticed too late.
“Edward!”
Hilda shouted, but it appeared as if a hole had been blasted through Edward’s body, pulverizing his heart and lungs.
“Goho! Its ok….this is..Gaha!”
Edward threw up blood then fell forward into it.
“Edward!”
Hilda rushed over and began applying healing magic.
“I’m s-…orry…i…was too….slow….”
“Dont talk!……….Edward?!”
Edward’s breathing had already stopped.
“Wow, magic is truly wonderful, it’s so easy to tear apart human flesh. Don’t you think so Madam Fran?”
“Yes, Gido.”
Two people appeared in front of Hilda.
“I didn’t think it would be this easy.”
“Gido, I didn’t feel any resistance.”
“I did either. Although S rank would pose a challenge for me. Nihhihihihi.”
“You’re right. Hohohohohoho.”
Gido and Fran laughed while Yun stood next to them appearing disgusted.
“《Binding Thunder》”
Hilda shot out two whip like lightning bolts.
“Oops! I dodged it~!”
But Gido playfully jumped out of the way while Fran used a folding fan to deflect it.
“After we kill this woman there are only 5 left. This is child’s play.”
“No no Gido, it’s much to easy for a child.”
“Hahaha, you there let me as you a question.”
Gido smiled fearlessly as Hilda.
“That man, he’s dead right?”
“《Holy Resonance》”
Hilda’s eyes showed no fear as she fired off another attack. The attack gouged out the ground as it flew towards Gido. However he just smiled and slowly stretched out his hand.
“《Fire shield》”
A shield of flame appeared completely blocking the attack. The sphere of light seemed to stick to the shield as it tried to push through.
“Here, have it back.”
The sphere of light was sent back at Hilda gouging out the hillside and damaging Edward’s body further.
“Oh, my aim was off.”
“Are you holding back?” Hilda glared.
“Hm? No, I just missed. But more importantly, I’m bored. Fran, lets kill this woman.”
Gido disappeared.
“Guha!”
In the next moment Gido sent Hilda flying.
“Fran, can you use that man’s corpse?”
“That would be difficult, it would take some time to repair it.”
“How unfortunate, I was envisioning a scene where the knights were forced to fight their friends.”
Gido kicked Hilda in the ribs as she tried to stand up. The impact caused Hilda to roll down the hill.
“Oh no~ she’s running away.”
“You’re just toying with her.”
Yun seemed frustrated.
“Shut up, make no mistake I intend to kill them. Fran let’s use the rest of the monster’s and head to the battlefield ourselves.”
“Understood, I shall be a dignified flower on the battlefield.”
“Dignified?”
“Yun, you should just wait here. Even if you come you’ll just get in the way.”
Gido glared at Yun as he said this and left.
