The doppler also said something about the kings candidate before as well.

“I can’t help that I don’t know, there’s no information like that in my memory.”

“Weird or not that’s all the information I have. I have memory about past candidates but none of them were my master so even if I try to follow it there’s no additional information.”

So someone other than the owner is in charge… how does this work exactly?

“The abyss is too powerful to accept all at once so it’s shared between master and I.”
“Meaning, half is in me, and the other half is inside you.”
“Correct, and as you get used to it I will give you more.”
“So, what happens to you after I have it all?”

One step closer to being king, when I don’t even know what the king is in the first place.

“Master, you’re supposed to figure it out for yourself. While I know somethings I do not know everything.”

Toa slid into the conversation.
“Hmm? Oh its my magic. Also Bell is apparently half of me.”
“Half of you? What are you talking about? And who’s bell?”
Oh right I guess I only said I knew him, maybe I should introduce them.
“Hello ladies, I am Belphegor the lazy other half.”
Bell bowed like he was some kind of nobleman.
“What does lazy other half mean?”
Toa asked.
“What does it mean? It doesn’t mean anything. I’m the other half of the lazy master so I’m the lazy other half. It’s simple.”
“Why is Nito lazy? He’s been working really hard!”
Toa praised me? I wish she’d do that more often.
“I don’t know? The other half just has the characteristics of the host. Abyss Magic is like that.”
“Wait a minute?? What do you mean by abyss magic is like that?”
It seems like there’s something that Bell hasn’t told me yet.
“Hmm? Oooh I forgot.”
Bell opened another beer, it was his third one.
“Basically abyss magic is born from the subconscious mind of the host.”
“Subconscious?”
Bell thought for a moment.
“For instance, master’s specialty 《Erosion wave》”
I wouldn’t call it my specialty…
“Basically there is something inside master that wants to erode things so the magic was born.”
Sufilia seemed to remember something.
“So does the magic Nito used then also represent his subconscious?”
“Used when?”
I’m not sure what she meant.
“The magic you used after erasing Ichijos arm.”
Oh 《the birth of regret》to be honest I don’t really understand this magic either. It’s not like any of the other magic that I possess.
“Well, there’s no doubt that it was master’s will since the abyss can’t do what you don’t want it too.”
So in other words the abyss embodied the will of the host? Then what’s up with the crying Goddess?
“Master?”
“Hmm?”
Bell stared into my eyes.
“Don’t worry, and do not doubt. The abyss is on your side. If you don’t want to destroy something it won’t be destroyed.”
Bell said the same thing as before.
“Yeah, I get it.”
“There is no magic that is as versatile and safe as the abyss is. That mage just spread the wrong interpretation, the king is no fool.”
“If possible I’d like for you to explain more. Since it’s about me I’d like to know as much as possible.”
The other three looked bored Nem was sitting on the sofa swinging her legs back and forth.
“Hey bell… do you have anything besides beer? Like some juice and snacks maybe?”
“Hm? ……ah, yeah I have some! Wait a moment!”
A few moments later Bell came back with snacks and juice and laid then out in the table.
“Please dig in.”
I took 4 cups out of the cupboard and we began to to relieve the stress from the dungeon.

I was in my own room, I had begun searching for anything that was different but everything had been reproduced perfectly. Shelves packed with Manga and games, even the game that was laying on the desk.
I opened the window, the scenery was the same but I doubt the inside of the surrounding buildings would be reproduced since I don’t actually remember that.
“Would you call this being homesick?”
For a moment I missed my actual room.
“Master?”
Bell was standing outside the door.
“Hmm?”
“I forgot to mention this but I can’t leave the dungeon. When you leave I’ll need to be in wand form.”
Then Bell turned into the want with a poof.
“…..a talking wand.”
Bell returned to his original form.
“So does this mean thst we’ve cleared the dungeon?”
“Hmm? The only thing that happened was that I met master. Like I said that’s the whole reason this place existed in the first place.”
“Wrong way of thinking huh? ”
They call it the end of the dreaming adventurer, they gather from all over to challenge the Labyrinth. But it’s not a Labyrinth, it’s just my house…..
All of the challengers were dead but…..
“It didn’t have anything to do with me right?”
“Master?”
Bell looked at me oddly.
“Its nothing.”
I left the room after that.
“Whats going to happen to the dungeon after this?”
“After we leave its over, the dungeon will disappear from the world. And return to meikai.”
“Meikai? What’s that?”
Bell looked annoyed.
“I don’t have that information.”
“……”
It seems like Bell’s memory is fragmented.
“Well whatever. If you remember let me know.”
“Of course. ”
Bell looked depressed, I guess that’s the meaning behind the other half. Depressed when I’m depressed, happy when I’m happy etc. I came here to have my questions answered but the more answers I get the more questions I have. It’s no use trying to rush Bell since he doesn’t seem to know anyway. For now I’ll just put it off and continue my adventure.
