"Ok~ So I've gathered you all here today for a grand reveal!~" Beru said while he looked around the meeting room. Inside were all of the staff working at UA, mostly the teachers, but Lunch Rush and a few of the janitorial staff were also present(Beru makes friends easily).
There were also a few outsiders, like Nao and his wife. Mostly, all of the people that Beru got along with well. Inko was at work, so she couldn't come. But the rest were there and waiting for his 'grand reveal'.
"Can we get this over with? I'm still not sure why you wanted Eri to be here either..." Aizawa said while he gazed at the tall insectoid. Aizawa was asked to bring Eri since Beru thought she would like to know that someone else has power like hers.
"You have no tact and no flair. How is someone supposed to make a grand reveal quickly?" Midnight defended his somewhat odd boyfriend the best she could. But her lack of impartiality led to no one actually listening to her.
"I mean... It would be nice if you were quick about it, we are all technically still at work." Nezu said while taking a sip of coffee.
"Ok~ Jeez~ I was just trying to make things more impactful and all that~," Beru said while swiping his antennas backwards with his hand.
"... You always try that, I thought you'd catch on that it never works," Nao said while also taking a sip of coffee. His wife beside him just nodded, they both gained a glare from the insectoid.
Beru ended up just sighing at the gazes of his friends and coworkers. Eri, the little girl also stared with big curious eyes as she looked at the people around her.
She seemed a bit uncomfortable in that environment, but she still seemed to want to be there. She was, after all, a fan of Beru.
"I'll get to the point then~" A yellow energy completely engulfed Beru's body as he mouthed off those words. A curtain also appeared around him, he teleported it there as to not flash all of them when he transformed. He also brought in a pair of fresh clothes just as all of his quirks disappeared.
The people in the room could hear the sounds of bones cracking and forming, of flesh mending into different positions.
After 30 seconds, the people inside the room seemed a bit confused. Then they heard some shuffling, followed by the curtains falling to the ground.
The sight that said curtains revealed was somewhat shocking for many of the people present. Eri especially.
Inside was a casually dressed man, quite tall in stature, his build seemed average, his abdomen hidden by a white t-shirt, he was also wearing a pair of short jeans.
Black hair, handsome features, no one could recognize who that person was. But, somehow, just from the smug smile on his face, all of his close friends could tell that it was definitely Beru.
Midnight was especially left speechless. She didn't even know how to react.
"As you might be able to guess. I can somewhat turn human now! All thanks to a certain quirk I managed to find out about recently." Beru then looked at Eri and pointed at his horn.
"I, much like Eri over here, posses this 'Rewind Quirk', which temporarily allows me to become a human, somehow. I'm not great at explaining things..." Beru said while scratching the back of his head.
Then, the same yellow light engulfed him, his figure rose, he ripped through the clothes he had prepared specifically for that occasion as he turned back to his real form.
"Well~ It's for a limited time~ But I can look like that too~," Beru said while he cleaned the mess he created by warping all of the mess into the ocean(so human-like).
"I'm sorry... But did this really need to be this big of an announcement?" Asked Nao as he almost rolled his eyes into the back of his head.
"I mean, it might be important to some of us..." Aizawa looked at Eri, who was smiling with tears in her eyes, and Nemuri who was salivating for reasons he didn't feel like thinking about. "But, it doesn't really change much for the rest of us... You're still the same in both forms."
Aizawa wanted to say that he was just as annoying in both forms. But he decided against it when seeing how happy it had made Eri.
"Well, this might actually be more important than you'd think..." Nezu said as he slowly got up.
"Say, Beru, you're somewhat vulnerable in that form, right? Your quirks disappear, right?" Beru tilted his head as he understood what Nezu was trying to point out.
"Well~ Yes~ But I can choose when to turn into it or not~ Also, I can kill anything by just touching it in that form~ Rewinding them back to a sperm cell or something.~" Beru said while he also thought about the logistics of being vulnerable.
He had only slightly thought about it before devouring Eri's blood in the laboratory, but he never saw his new form as a vulnerable one. Especially since Rewind itself was considerably strong.
Vulnerability wasn't really something he considered often, especially with his current circumstances.
"Still, you are technically weaker in that form. So that means you do have a weakness or two. I'd recommend using that form sparingly, lest others start using it against you." Nezu spoke with calm, but his concern was still there. And it made Beru smile internally.
"Sure thing~ I'm more used to this one anyway~ Just felt like letting anyone know how I can look like if they ever spot me around in it~," Beru said while waving his hand.
Eri came up to him, her hands clutching her small red skirt.
"M-mister, do you really have the same quirk as me?" She seemed to find the subject to be quite fascinating.
"Yep~ It's pretty neat once you get the hang of it~ It's also quite a lot stronger than most of the other ones I've got~ I'd recommend learning more about it yourself though~" Eri perked up at his answer.
The last part made her a bit sad since she thought he'd be able to help her master it. Thankfully, Beru's next words cleared some things up for her.
"This isn't the type of thing that can be thought~ You can only learn by experimenting with it~ You need to feel it yourself to understand it~" Eri accepted that with a strong nod.
By now, most of the people in the room were leaving to go back to their jobs. Including Nao and his wife, who just waved goodbye at Beru as they left.
Nemuri was a bit more different in reaction though. "How long can you hold that?! Can you do it for an entire night in that form? Is it bigger in that form than in the original?" Her questions were all targeted to a certain area that some would find, private.
But Beru never had any restraints concerning that. Rather, he decided to respond to all of them.
"I can hold it for a bit, it needs to charge up though.~ I can last all night in any form, baby~ And it's a bit smaller in that form, but my original one was a bit much for you anyway." By this point, the teachers that hadn't left yet regretted staying.
Nezu just sweated a bit and also took off. Toshi followed him out with a small nod to Beru.
Aizawa just shook his head as he left the room while covering Eri's ears. He muttered something about indecency and irresponsible coworkers.
"Welp~ That went quite a bit better than expected~," Beru said while looking at his hand for a bit.
"What were you expecting anyway? Not like anyone would find anything you do strange at this point. If they know you, they won't ever be surprised by it." Nemuri said while she patted him on the shoulder.
"Well, I need to go back to my class. Kisses, see ya later~!" She then proceeded to run away, probably finally realising that she was already late for her own classes.
Beru just sighed as he stood in the now empty room. He looked around for a bit, then shrugged and warped off.
Where? Well, let's just say that Yori's training was going to get harder and more stressful from now on.
