Rakht City, the capital City of Vampire Territory, the Asra Kingdom.

The city was built by the Vampire Progenitor several centuries ago with magic, under the dense forest situated in the westernmost part of the world.

The 7th generation Lord, of the Arsa Royal family governed the territory at present. Roisin Asra, was the present Queen of the Asra Kingdom.

It was midnight and under the bright moonlight stood Roisin. A Vampiress 178 centimetres tall and had long knee-length blonde hair, currently braided in twin thick braids.

She had an average build with a C-size bust and a well-toned butt which was tightly hugged by a red velvet backless gown, that had a slit around her legs, putting her pristine thick thighs on display

She was standing on a hilltop, her blood-red eyes were looking down at a small human village which was situated next to her territory

currently, the village was being attacked by monsters or more precisely speaking Vampires that were banished by her.

She was the first Vampire Lord, who tried to restrict vampires from preying on other living beings.

She believed that was the weakness of her race, the moment they started to feel an unquenchable thrust for the blood of others, they became more like a feral animal.

The noble and majestic race such as the vampire, stopping low for a few ounces of blood, she could not accept it.

Hence she brought a revolution in the vampire community and commercialised the blood itself.

"Do you want human blood?"

"Which blood group are you looking for sir?"

"Want some rare blood? Will a Virgin's sweet blood quench your thirst or should it be unicorn's blood?"

The streets in Rakht City would echo these questions as merchants tried to sell their wares in the market to noble and rich Vampires.

Although, the merchants were free to use any means to acquire the blood it didn't matter if there was no vampire involved.

However, there are always some people who could not accept change and it was the same with some vampires as well.

The Vampire community was divided into two sects, the one that lived in the  Rakht City adapted and even enjoyed the changes bought by their new queen.

On the other hand, were the vampires who believed that buying blood instead of hunting for prey was against their very nature.

Since such vampires vehemently stood against the changes suggested by their new queen, they were banished from the kingdom.

And a small group of such people were now attacking the nearby small towns and villages, in order to prey upon the blood of the residents.

Roisin sighed with disappointment and then looked to her right. Next to her stood a small group of her royal guards.

Seeing their Queen looking at them and nodding, they all commenced their attack on the group of feral vampires.

Within half an hour, all the feral vampires were killed and the village was rescued or at least what was left of it.

Then the leader of the royal guard came in front of their queen who was standing with  and threw several severed heads of vampires and said, "It has been done, Your Majesty."

Roisin nodded after giving a side glance to the head rolling near her feet.

Then she looked at the royal guard in front of her and questioned, "How many human lives were we able to save?"

"Only a handful, Your Majesty!" replied the guard instantly.

"Deal with them. Find them someplace in the capital. This massacre is on us, our failure to deal with the ferals," she said while shaking her head in disappointment.

"On it, Your Majesty!" the guard said and guided the humans that were still alive back to the Rakht City.

They might be employed by some blood merchants, but for the time being, they needed to overcome the horror they had been through.

When Roisin was about to walkway from the hill, her senses picked up a faint noise of someone crying.

She turned around and looked in the direction of the destroyed village for a moment and then with a frown she started moving towards the village.

In a few seconds, she reached her destination, thanks to the huge wings on her back, one of the most envied characteristics of the Vampires, right after their eternal beauty.

When she landed in front of a small house in the middle of the village, she could clearly hear a child crying.

She entered the house and after climbing the first floor, she found a corpse of a woman clinging to a child.

With a pitiful expression for the deceased mother, Roisin carefully picked up the baby.

The child must have been around one year old and when it was picked up by Roisin, the child stopped crying and looked at Roisin's face.

Roisin was also looking at the child's face and specifically her jet-black irises. However, suddenly the child's irises changed to scarlet colour for a moment.

Roisin's senses didn't miss that change in her eyes, but before she could even react, the child started crying again while trying to wobble away from Roisin's grip.

Roisin sighed and questioned, "Do you really hate us this much?"

Roisin was never good with infants especially given for the fact that she was only 64 years old, which was almost like a borderline adult, if compared to human standards.

The child wouldn't stop crying and with a dejected look, Roisin carefully rushed towards the Rakht City to her mother, thinking that maybe she could deal with this child.

                _______________________________

A couple was casually sitting in their room reading some books and enjoying the delicious blood of some rare creature with an expression filled with ecstasy.

They were Roisin parents and had similar features to Roisin, especially her mother who was a mature version of her and more beautiful than her.

While they were busy enjoying their refreshments, their acute senses picked up the noise of a child crying and turned their head toward the door in a fluidic motion.

After a few seconds, someone barged into their room and it was none other than Roisin, who was looking at them with a neutral expression while holding a child in her embrace.

Roisin's mother laughed after seeing her daughter's expression and said, "Hehehe! Look at that, Rose has brought us a midnight snack!"

Roisin rolled her eyes and started walking toward her mother, while the latter was giggling.

On the other hand, Roisin's father was looking at the child in his daughter's arms with a frown.

"Where did you find that child?" questioned her father.

"Kya!~ I'm too young to be a grandmother!" yelled her mother while messing with her daughter.

There were lines visible on Roisin's head while she thought, 'Too young? Woman you're centuries old!'

But like a well-mannered noblewoman, she didn't comment on another woman's age.

Roisin looked at her father and explained to him the whole fiasco regarding the feral vampire attacks.

He sighed and said, "We did tell you to execute them, but you chose to banish them instead."

"We thought they might change and after seeing others might change their ways," she replied with a disappointed look on her face.

"So, why is she still a human, Rose?" he questioned while looking at the baby in her embrace.

"Well because we didn't turn her into a vampire and we don't plan to do that either," she replied instantly and after that put the child in her mother's lap.

While her mother was looking at Roisin's face, the latter gestured for her to deal with it.

Roisin's mother then looked into the eyes of the child and the child instantly fell asleep.

"You used 'Vampiric-Charm' on a child, Mother?" Roisin questioned in disbelief and her jaw fell.

"We had used that on you a gazillion times. It always works. Hehehe" she replied with a smug.

"You're an Evil woman!" murmured Roisin.

"Well we are Vampire-queen or used to be!" replied her mother instantly.

"So if you don't plan to turn her into a vampire, what are your plans with her?" questioned his father while ignoring the bantering of the mother-daughter pair.

Roisin's gaze again fell on the child sleeping with a peaceful expression in her mother's embrace and with a serene smile on her, Roisin said, "For the time being, we will keep her with us in this castle."

"We will find some human maids to take care of her and her other 'human' needs."

Roisin's mother was looking at her daughter with a deep gaze and while smiling she questioned, "You found something interesting about this child, didn't you?"

"That's why you are going so far this child."

Roisin smiled and said, "Who knows?!"
