Hearing Yue's screams Tian jumped off of the jeep and ran in. There was blood by the doorstep leading to the inside of the house.
Her heart started to pound loudly. She ran to the bedrooms to find a person sleeping on the bed peacefully. Their mother was sobbing silently next to her bedside.
There was definitely the heavy stench of blood in the room. She slowly removed the bed sheets to see Lui's stomach fully covered in gauze.
An uncontrollable rage started inside her heart.
"Who did this? Where's Juda. She can treat her..."
"She... she was kidnapped..." her mum sobbed loudly.
Her heart almost stopped. Everything was slightly blurry. Thinking that she heard it wrong she whispered. "i.. I don't think I got you.. what..."
"Tian, someone kidnapped Juda. Dad has gone to search for her. They.. they did this to Lui....."
Yue swiftly dashed out of the house with his sword in hand.
Tian did not waste any more seconds either. She rushed out after him. "Hary! Stay here with mum!"
"What happened? Is everyone okay?"
"no, someone took Juda. I'll go search for her. Please stay here and take care of mum okay," she patted his back and followed after the blood trail.
It led them to a small, abandoned alleyway.
Their father and Qian stood there with a shocked looks on their face.
Yue rushed to him. "Dad, go back home. I'll take care of this."
Their father sighed loudly throwing a glance at her. "I'm sorry Tian... I didn't protect them properly. I should have asked them to stay with us...."
Tian silently nodded. Her eyes roamed over to the ground.
A certain spot in the corner there was a blood-soaked dagger and a face mask.
Tian picked it up. She had gifted this to Juda... just a few weeks ago.....
"We'll find her," Yue whispered close to her ear. "I'll go ask around if anyone saw anything." He pulled out Trexa from his pocket and handed it to her. "Trexa, baby I need you to find someone okay. Listen to sister and stay safe." he kissed her small head and walked away to the nearby houses.
Tian dazedly nodded. Her finger delicately held the mask that had a small blotch of blood. "Trexa, can you sniff the scent? I… i need you to find Juda,"
The little rat tilted its head. With a cautious look around it sniffed the face mask. It's small nose twitched and let out a confused squeak.
She let her down on the ground. "Did you get anything?.."
Trexa sniffed around for a while and walked into a smaller alley connected to this one.
Tian picked her up, placed her in her pockets, and dashed into the alleyway. The ground was slightly muddy and there were a few big footprints left behind.
The three others were following behind her. "Dad, Fan and I will take care of this. You guys go home. And take Trexa with you. You know what to do," she handed the rat to him.
"Tian... be very careful okay, wait..." her father handed the huge cat that he was carrying in his arms. "Take her with you."
"It's okay. I can manage..."
"Please, it will reassure me a little bit,"
Sighing, Tian took the chunky black cat from him. It was fluffy and had a long streak of red fur from the top of its head to the tip of the tail.
Looking up at her, it meowed sweetly.
"You guys go back now. This place is dangerous. Fan, come on," she gestured for Fan Xui to come along.
The footprints led her to a small broken-down bar. The glass door was clearly shattered and there was sounds of boisterous laughter coming from inside.
Standing out there she silently counted the number of assistants. "Thirteen... fourteen. Fifteen..."
"There are fifteen of them," she whispered to Fan.
Fan Xui coldly peered at the pub. "Should I kill them?"
"We need them alive. Try not to kill anyone," she pulled out a gun and handed it to him. "if the situation becomes worse, just zap everyone there. Don't risk your life okay,"
"Hmm, thanks," he removed the safety of the gun and tested the weight of it.
Tian stood up and casually walked inside the place. just a step in and all eyes fell on her.
Fan Xui followed after her with his gun hiding in his back.
One tanned, smaller-looking guy peered at Tian and whistled loudly. "' what have we here? A beauty. We hit the jackpot today, boss. The jackpot," he looked towards the right at a particulate brawny muscular man with a serpent tattoo on his neck.
"yes, we have," the man who seemed to be their boss did not look at her rather his eyes were fully focused on Fan Xui. Vigilantly his eyes remained on his hidden hands. "What do you have there in your hand's young man?"
Fan Xui scoffed. "Oh a gun." He pulled it out.
The atmosphere got tense. Everyone took out their daggers and other weapons they could find and stood there ready to charge.
"Pretty girl, you look like you are from a well-off family. We don't want any trouble. If you don't want your bodyguard to perish, I suggest you leave." The man kindly whispered, but his cautious eyes were always on Fan Xui.
Tian cracked her neck. "oh.. But we are here for trouble," without a second hesitation she snapped the neck of the man near her.
The man collapsed on the floor with a thud.
The other near him hurriedly checked his pulse. "B-boss.. He's dead..."
"Fan, watch the door. Don't let anyone out,"
"Got it," he moved back and stood smack in the middle of the doorway. "Should I zap them if they try?"
"You can. All except that one," she pointed to the serpent tattoo guy. "He's the one I need."
Fan Xui nodded. In just a few seconds Tian managed to kill thirteen men with just her bare hands. Her skill was reparably precise. A single attack was enough to kill a person.
He silently gulped. 'I should never cross my sister-in-law or hurt Yue." He glanced at the man who was freshly killed right at his feet. 'I'm pretty sure that will be me....'
