Chapter 327 327 - Leaving G City Base
They had to drive very slowly because of the people who were crowding around their cars. This kind of situation leads to a stampede.
Yue silently clenched the steering wheel.
Slowly but steadily their car reached close to the barrack. He spotted Fan who was helping people board the huge school buses. They had brought in the busses a few months ago and even had it repaired and prepare just in case a day like this would occur.
Now that it was here… all the preparation felt so insignificant.
Everything was a mess. Everyone was in a hurry.
Yue lowered the glass and held a small dagger in hand to show that no one must come close. "Fan! Fan Xui!" he shouted through the crowd.
By a miracle, his lover heard his scream and glanced his way.
"Yue take the lead."
He talked to a few of the soldiers and two school buses started their engines. They started to follow his car while Fan Xui was still loading up the other eight of them.
"Fan!" he screamed.
"I'll catch up. go now!" he shouted back.
Yue bit his bottom lips, aggrieved by this. This situation was too much for Fan to handle. He must be there. But… he glanced to his side. Tian was tired, Juda did not have that much motor skill to drive in an apocalypse. And then there was Zi Chen…. He obviously looked scared by this chaos. he had shrunk to a corner, hugging his dog.
His impulsive need to get out of the car stopped right there.
"Fan I'll open up the east wall. Hurry and follow us. Or I will come find you ass!" he shouted and swiftly drove off.
The school buses followed after him in an orderly manner. only because they were being driven by the soldiers. They were all under the direct control of Fan and were very loyal to him.
soon five more school buses joined their lines.
They reached the east end of the wall. Yue got down hurriedly. With his fist, he smashed a hole open. It was small enough for a child to crawl through but not enough for their car and school buses.
His sensitive ears could hear the growls and screeching noises the zombies made.
'they are close. Fuck this!' he continued punching and punching until his fists bleed.
A huge crack appeared on the wall. Like a spider vein it spread all the way over to the top.
"Yue! Hurry!!!" Tian shouted.
Yue glanced back. He could spot the zombies getting close to the barrack. 'Fan… fuck! Fuck this!!!'
With all his powers he smashed the walls one more time. The crack that had expanded on the wall suddenly spread everywhere.
"Tian back away!" she jumped into the driver's seat and hurriedly drove back. the school buses were also right behind her. she was not able to put that much distance between them and the wall.
Yue gritted his teeth. It came to him now. The wall collapsed forming five huge boulders. it came crashing down. He caught one that was about to hit his car with bare hands and pushed it out of the way. As for the other debris it all fell on the other side of the wall thankfully.
he rushed out of the walls and pushed all the debris out of the way.
"Yue get in!" Tian called for him.
Zou Yue jumped in and the car sped out of the base.
A strange sense of emptiness filled his heart. After that came fear/ his Fan still hadn't gotten into the last bus.
He glanced back at the back seat. "Little Chen. I need your help.. I-I need you to search for your daddy, can you see him with your bees?"
"Yue.." Tian grabbed his hand and shook her head. "Not Chen…"
"its just a look… Chen can you do that for me please.." he desperately glanced at him.
The young child looked scared.
it hurt his heart to even ask him of this. But he needed to know. His Fan was still in there. His husband was still in there…
"Yue don't ask this of Chen….. it's not something a five-year-old should see…" Tian warned him.
"no, I'll do it. I'll find daddy."
Yue felt an overwhelming sense of guilt. "It's a big responsibility. You will be viewing so many… gruesome things… is that okay with you. Dad won't say anything if you do not want to…. It's my fault. I never should have left him there…"
Chen sat up and held his hand tightly. "dad.. I'm not scared. I want to know how daddy is too,"

Yue glanced back at Juda. "Juda take out the moped from your space. stop for a second. I'll go and get him,"
"Tian…." Juda glanced at her girlfriend.
"Give him what he wants…" Tian said with a loud sigh.
Yue looked at her gratefully. "Thank you,"
