Li Meili wasn't the only one who was meeting her in-laws that day. Several miles away from Shenzhen, Yun Zhen found himself just outside the door of the Su family's house with a bouquet of flowers in one hand.
When he decided to follow Su Jingyi to Shanghai to pursue her, he didn't expect that asking her hand in marriage would make him edgy, now that he was here, about to push the button of the doorbell.

"Oh, hi Mr. Yun. I didn't know you would be here." Su Jingli finally snapped out from his shock and greeted Yun Zhen.
Yun Zhen cleared his throat and tried to think of how he should tell Su Jingyi's younger brother that he was here to ask for her hand in marriage tonight. But Su Jingli didn't need to hear it as he had already guessed it with the way Yun Zhen was dressed and how he was holding a bouquet of flowers in his hands.
"Wanna see my sis?" He asked Yun Zhen with a wide grin on his charming face.
Su Jingli inwardly grinned, full understanding of the reason Yun Zhen came here unannounced tonight. However, the man had just come at a wrong time as they were entertaining another guest at the moment.
"Yes. Is your sister home?" Yun Zhen asked, but before Su Jingli could answer him, they both heard a familiar voice coming through the door.
"Jingli, what's taking you so long? Did the delivery arrive yet?" Su Jingyi appeared behind her brother and was surprised to see Yun Zhen standing right outside their door.
She looked at him, mouth agape, not expecting to see the man she had been trying so hard to forget these days to appear in front of her after weeks of not seeing each other since she officially left her post in Yun Group.
"Yun Zhen, what brings you here?" She asked, her expression couldn't hide the shock from seeing him again.
"I came here to see you." Yun Zhen passed the flowers he was holding to Su Jingi, finally relieved that he didn't have to hold the flowers awkwardly as he stayed standing outside.
Su Jingyi accepted the flowers, her brain short circuited as this was the first time Yun Zhen did something romantic like this for her. Since when did this blockhead develop a romantic streak in him anyway?

"Jingyi, what's the matter? Where did you and Jingli go?" An older woman in her late fifties came. Yun Zhen then realized that she could be the mother of the Su siblings.
The old woman stopped in her tracks and noticed that her children were talking with someone outside their door.
"Did something happen? Who is it?" She looked between her daughter and son, then at the man standing next to them. The flowers her daughter was holding also piqued her attention.
Who was this handsome fella? Was this man courting her daughter? But Su Jingyi had not mentioned anything about being involved with someone in Shenzhen. So why did she agree to meet people for a marriage arrangement?
Not unless something happened between them and Su Jingyi gave up, willing to marry another man she didn't even like.
"Is this your friend?" She tried to probe her daughter. The man looked like he had traveled a long way just to see Su Jingyi. Just how long he'd been standing here anyway?
