Chapter 230 Frenzy

Everything had happened too fast. Only when they saw the men cloaked in black did they realize that it was the work of the Seven Deadly Sins. They really didn’t know what their objective was!

“Holy shit! That explosion was too strong! This is no joke!”

“Oh shit, I saw one of them hit Xiang Ning. There were even blood splatters. His weapon even broke!”

“What the fuck are the Seven Deadly Sins doing?”

“Are they crazy?”

The viewers were completely glued to the battle between Xiang Ning and the Octoviolet Silversnake, and most of them didn’t even realize what had happened. Some of them started searching up on the Seven Deadly Sins and realized they were truly evil people.

To think that they had even tried to lure Fang Zhenyuan out of Tranquil City so that they could destroy it!

But even if nobody believed it, their common sense had already been warped by Xiang Ning’s achievements. To think that someone who had yet to enter adulthood could be this strong. Even if he were to cultivate in the womb he could never be this strong, right?

The giant snake was also the strongest beast that the civilians had seen so far.

Li Yunfei's face darkened.

“Leader, you should head down and help him!” In the camp, one of the rescue squad members was urging him as he was surveying with the drones.

Li Yunfei shook his head; he was where he needed to be. The moment he left, the cult members would destroy their vehicles. He also needed to wait for Fang Hao to arrive.

If the cultists were to attack and destroy their vehicles, the mission would be a failure and all of them would die here.

His intuition was correct—Bull had indeed arranged a team to observe their camp. The moment Li Yunfei left they would swoop in and destroy the vehicles.

......

On the other side of the ruined city, Bull was walking on the street with ten other members. All of them were wearing spiritual armor and held hot weapons. They were all spiritual cultivators. Only Bull was a martial artist.

The ten spiritual cultivators gunned down any beasts that blocked their way. Most of them died before they could fight back.

Bull was taking a leisurely stroll down the street and soon arrived at the wounded Balamu.

“Balamu, surrender your core. Or do you want us to take it instead?” Bull’s voice was strong and commanding.

Balamu hissed in defiance. “Try me if you dare, greedy humans!” It immediately lashed out its tail, killing the smaller beasts in its path.

Just as the tail almost hit Bull, the ten spiritual cultivators controlled over a hundred flying knives to block the attack.

Balamu released a cloud of corrosive haze at the moment of impact and destroyed ten of the knives, but his tail has been stopped.

“Truth be told, I’d love to dissect a beast that came from another planet. It’s fascinating that you have a similar body structure as the beasts here on earth. I’d also love to see why you have a unique power.” Bull chuckled as he pulled out a large pair of scissors from his back.

The scissors were humming with power, giving off a dangerous aura.

He then took out a vial of liquid. “This is the cure to your mysterious black haze. I wonder how good it is?”

He then instructed the rest of the spiritual cultivators to pour the liquid on their knives and bullets. With a single command, countless bullets and knives flew into Balamu’s body.

Due to the cure, what was once a wound that could only be inflicted with a full magazine was now tearing the snake apart with as little as five bullets. Balamu's defense had been crippled!

The black haze was also having a hard time corroding the bullets and knives coated in the cure.

Balamu continued hissing in pain and tried to run. A stabbing pain coursed through its body as it found out that Bull had planted his scissors into its body, rooting him to the ground.

It thrashed around in an attempt to escape, but to no avail. Bull leaped up and landed on its head. “Let me guess, your core is at the middle of your head, seven inches deep.”

Balamu no longer had the strength to speak and could only await its death. Suddenly, Bull was sent flying away by a flying knife. He was just about to shout before another knife cut his leg open.

“Dammit! WHO GOES THERE?!” Bull was hurt. The other spiritual cultivators surrounded and guarded him in the middle.

Xiang Ning walked out from the rubble, his shirt in tatters, and the Devourer now in pieces dripping blood. Xiang Ning's eyes, however, were still full of life and vigor.

He just looked a little disheveled. When he was slammed into the building by the explosion, he already knew it was the work of the Seven Deadly Sins. All this time he had been trying to recover his strength as fast as he could.

Once he finished chomping down on healing pills, he hid amongst the rubble to observe the situation. Soon the cult members arrived at his hiding place but he remained still, slowly observing and measuring their strength. He even used Keen Observation on Bull, and it succeeded on the first try. Now he wasn’t sure whether he was very lucky, or the enemy was too weak. The success rate of Keen Observation depended on the strength gap between the user and the enemy.

Just as he was unsure of whether to reveal himself or not, he had heard them talking about a core. Glancing at his broken weapon, his attention was fully focused on Balamu.

This was his best opportunity to kill the snake, the cult members, and obtain another beast core! After he confirmed that Balamu no longer had the strength to fight back, he revealed himself.

“What? How’re you still alive?!” Bull was shocked! That single rocket was leagues better than a regular rocket! He had used half of his earnings to buy even one of the rockets!

“Heh.” Xiang Ning wiped the blood off his mouth and raised his weapons. He was prepared for one final fight.

“Looks like your weapon is indeed excellent! To think that it could block that rocket! But you’re still unable to change anything—all of you, attack!” Bull commanded the spiritual cultivators.
