Chapter 63: Punishment

The servant was beyond pissed as he arched his eyebrows up in rage. Just as his anger was about to go off, his Young Master snatched away the candy in his hands. The chubby boy handed the candy to Lu Xiao Shu and grinned widely as he asked charmingly, “Dear Missy, here’s your candy. Now, please tell me.”

Lu Xiao Shu gave him a sweet smile as she accepted the candy and licked it before turning to look at a direction and pointing and it, “I saw them running that way.”

“Aren’t you guys going to chase after them?” The boy snapped at his servants.

The servant, who had an argument with Lu Xiao Shu, watched her with suspicious eyes, indicating that he did not trust her words.

She huffed indignantly, “There are no side roads on that path, but if you wish to waste your time here, I’m not sure if you’ll be able to catch up to them. Anyway, it’s up to you whether to trust my words.

“Hurry! Go! If you find the girl in red, be nice and don’t scare her!” The chubby boy urged his servants, but when he mentioned that girl, his expression softened and a smile appeared on his lips.

Lu Xiao Shu was cursing him in her mind. The girl in red? That’s my sister!

Her sister was such a gentle and beautiful person. Of course, she would be disturbed to have an annoying fatso paying extra attention to her sister when he was unworthy to be in her presence.

The two servants nodded in response while one of them kept his eyes on Lu Xiao Shu and said, “You’re not allowed to leave! Stay here and accompany our Young Master! If you lied to us, my Young Master will teach you a lesson!”

With that, they rushed off.

Lu Xiao Shu made a face behind their backs before glancing at the boy. The cubby boy did not seem to care if she escaped or not since his priority was to flirt with the girl he had in mind.

Lu Xiao Shu smirked while she played with the candy in her hand. She winked her big round eyes at the boy and said, “Young Master, the traffic on the street is too heavy! We should go over to that alley to wait!”

Only then, the chubby boy remembered her presence. Since she did not leave, it did not raise any suspicion to him. He said nothing apart from agreeing with her suggestion before walking over to the alley with Lu Xiao Shu.

Lu Xiao Shu tricked him again, “You must be tired standing here. There’s a huge tree just beyond that corner. There’s also a bench under the tree. Why don’t you wait there since those two won’t be coming back so soon? I’ll wait for them here.”

The boy thought that since she wanted candy in exchange for information, her efforts must be because she wanted more candy. He nodded without extra thought, “Sure. You stay here and be good. I’ll get you two bigger candies later on.”

Lu Xiao Shu was disgusted as she thought: Pfft! Do I look that naive? You want to bribe me with two candies? Do you even know who you’re dealing with?

However, the expression she gave him was a cheerful and happy one.

The boy chuckled and walked with her in that direction.

And thus, tragedy struck him.

Lu Xiao Shu tricked the fatso into a secluded alley and beat him up terribly. He breathed heavily and panting while she stripped his jacket and belt off from him. She tied him to the wall and before she left him, she pulled his hair tie off to make his hair a mess. After a few words of curses, she left in a whoosh, heading to look for the two servants to teach them their lesson.

The servants kept on chasing. There was no way they would catch up to Xiao Xue and Xiao Yu from the wild goose chase that Lu Xiao Shu had set them up. So, they turned around, planning to teach the little girl a lesson when they found her.

Unexpectedly when they were jogging back, one of them suddenly bent over with an “ouch” as he tripped forward unceremoniously.

The other was taken aback, “What happened to—”. Just before he could blurt out the word “you”, he too tripped onto the ground on all fours.

The fall caught them off guard as they tripped tragically. Their knees and palms were cut and fresh blood oozed out from the wound. Meanwhile, pain flared up in their chest as if a bone was broken. It seemed that they also sprained their waist somehow.

Dear Readers. Scrapers have recently been devasting our views. At this rate, the site (creativenovels .com) might...let's just hope it doesn't come to that. If you are reading on a scraper site. Please don't.

Both of them got up with gritted teeth. They limped while clutching each other as they took a closer look at their wounds. Massaging their sprained waist, they turned to look for the culprit angrily, “Who did that? Which son of a b*tch? Show yourself!”

Showing herself? That was not an option. Lu Xiao Shu did not want to pick a fight with them in broad daylight. It would ruin her reputation.

The stone flew from her hands again, but this time, it landed squarely on the cheek of the servant who was yelling. He yowled in pain as a nasty bruise appeared speedily and he spatted on the ground. There was blood and it appeared that two of his teeth had gotten loose.

The other servant was stunned. He glanced around and spoke loudly, “Which gentleman is this? What have we done to offend you? Let’s talk it out nicely…”

“Exactly,” The angry servant mumbled, “How does hiding in the dark— ugh.”

He wanted to finish his sentence with “make you a gentleman?” but he was muffled by his bewildered partner.

“Why don’t you show yourself and we’ll talk about what we have done wrong? We— ouch!” His good behavior did not calm Lu Xiao Shu’s anger. She did not want to hear any more of his words, so she shot her stones at them one after one. The duo was in a fluster as they wailed in pain.

The passer-bys heeded them no care, avoiding them in case they got hit by those stones.

“What a bully! I’ll teach you a lesson!” It was quite easy to identify which direction the stones came from. They took off into that direction without minding the pain as anger took over them.

Lu Xiao Shu made a face at them before sprinting to a hiding spot in an alley. She had already positioned herself while she waited for their arrival.

Naturally, the angry men did not let the matter slide as they ran forth without thinking things through. Of course, they suffered all the way. They did not know where Lu Xiao Shu was but they carried on running and cursing while being hit continuously. It enraged them even more.

“That’s enough! Stop chasing! We still have to meet the Young Master quickly!” One of the servants realized and panted, pulling the other back.

“No way! That little bastard is playing some d*mn prank on us. I’m not letting him off! I must see if he’s a human or a ghost! What trick is he playing by hiding around?” The other servant was impulsive and quite violent. How would he not feel annoyed when he had completely no idea if his opponent was tall or short, plump or skinny?

“You’re out of your mind!” His partner let him go and huffed, “Fine, you go ahead and chase that man while I go meet the Young Master! Come meet us later!”

Anyway, they could not change the fact that they were beaten up. Since they could not track the culprit down after so long, what makes them think that they could find that person if they continued chasing? What if something bad happened to their Young Master?

The servant had that sudden realization as he could not help but think of Lu Xiao Shu. He gritted his teeth, “Alright! It must all be that little girl’s instructions. Let’s go! We’ll head back now and that girl better be around. I’ll be getting my revenge on her!”

Then, he turned around without any hint of hesitation. He walked faster than his partner as the thought of beating Lu Xiao Shu up filled his mind.

What a joke! He still had to look for a way to vent his frustration over what happened today, right?

Lu Xiao Shu wiped the dirt off her hands and appeared through the back. She scoffed at them before turning to leave. It seemed that her punishment was enough to teach those two bullies a lesson. If they bump into her again, she would definitely throw them into the rivers to feed the tortoise!

How dared they harass respectable ladies under broad daylight? They were literally crazy bastards!

Come to think of it, if Shi Tou did not tell her about it and if she were not as capable as she was, what would happen to her sister? Would they take her away? What would happen if they took her?

They would definitely have a good time with her sister, but her sister could have died as a result! They deserved more than that little punishment today.

The servants were still enduring the fiery pain as they anxiously rushed to their chubby Young Master. They also tried looking for Lu Xiao Shu for payback. Surprisingly, their Young Master was missing too!

The two blanched as they exchanged speechless glances.

After a lot of effort, they finally found a dishevelled Young Master with his head hung low. He was tied up tightly, unable to move an inch. It seemed that their Young Master was not faring any better than them.

They were in disbelief.

The two of them chased the onlookers away and hastily untied their Young Master.

The chubby boy’s surname was Zhou. He was the only son of a squire, the Zhou Family’s precious child. His parents and grandparents had spoiled him for his entire life, so he had never experienced anything like this!

Seeing that his servants came for him, he bit his lips as he was on the verge of tears. He was still a man either way. Even though tears welled up in those red brimmed eyes, he did not shed a tear.

Besides, the condition of those two did not seem any better than him. It seemed that they were even more beaten up than he was. Thus, that sort of calmed his mind a little as he frowned and spoke with a slight sob, “What took you so long?”

“We ran into trouble too! We didn’t know which bast*rd was messing with us though. Sir, let’s go tell the Old Master and the Lady. They will teach the culprit a lesson!” The violent servant exclaimed.

“No!” Fat Young Master Zhou glared at him, “Never bring this up to anyone! No one! If anyone asks, just tell that the crowd overwhelmed us and we tripped. Understood?”

“Huh? Why?” The violent servant could not believe his ears.

The other servant was obviously way smarter as he smiled awkwardly in an apologetic manner, “Yes. You’re right, sir. Nothing happened today. It was us who blundered and took a hard fall.”

The dumb one still wanted to get to the bottom of it, but the smarter servant glared at him and murmured lowly, “Are you nuts? Do you feel that we weren’t embarrassed enough today? Do you want our Young Master to become a laughing stock?”
