[Day of the interview - William]

“Hello, sir!” Orlando, the journalist asked.

“Hello, how have you been?” Williams was trying to be nice to him.

“Good, sir. What about you?” He asked back.

William smiled at the journalist and looked at the little recording gadget that was in front of him “I've been fine and call me William, please,”

“Sure, William. The last movie you directed and distributed through Zero MediaWorks was an absolute hit, you have been in the industry for quite a while haven’t you?” He asked again.

William who went to the interview in the morning was hoping that one question shouldn’t be asked him during the entire time. It was because he didn’t want to come out as a jealous prick to the public or didn’t want to sound too egoistic. Although there had been small scandals about William during his time, he wanted to maintain his reputation regardless.

In the article that he is being interviewed for, he knew that the paper would be out in no time and people will definitely read it, for two main reasons. One, the paper was publicly famous due to how the questions will be asked and how people get furiously honest. Two, Williams was quite famous himself.

“Yes, of course. It was an absolute hit and I do have so many experiences during the time of my work in the industry. I should really thank the fans who always amaze me with their honest opinion about what I create. And I’m glad that most of the time, they are positive which encourages me a lot,”

“I’m sure, once they read this, they will know. Let’s talk about your new movie, the teaser or what we call the trailer of the movie is already released. Can you tell me about the choice of actors?” Orlando asked while noting things down in his notebook as well.

“Yes, of course. The 13th Street is a movie based on a fictional idea of myself. The genre is horror and as everyone knows, number 13 is scary. The movie is actually about a young girl, a kid who gets lost and is haunted. That’s all I can say, for now, the rest will surely be revealed once the movie is out,” Williams said and smiled.

“Can I know about the choice of the cast?”

“Yes, sure. As we all know, the grades of the actors and actresses aren’t something to not consider. So the main character is an A-grade actress, Lisa July. She has been famous for horror movies for quite a while now. I’m extremely proud of how she pulled off her role. Mazeekin, Lawrence, Ferninton, Melody, and Johnson also took part in their own roles. Those names aren’t unpopular, so I’m sure everyone knows them and will be interested to see how they will act their part,”

“William, what do you think about La La Land as a competitor? The release date is scheduled on the same day and Ian Renner is somewhat in a higher place considering where he started from,” Orlando asked.

“Boy got lucky once, won’t again,” He gave a short yet dangerous answer coming from an experienced director. And he knew, it would be enough for people to know how confident he is.

[Ian Renner - @Outside Renner Studio]

Ian was reading the article that was published by the Los Angeles Herald. He was still in his car and started reading it due to his increasing curiosity. Los Angeles Herald is a weekly magazine of popular culture, fashion, and current affairs published by Los Angeles in the United States.

The first version of the Los Angeles Herald was published from 1913 to 1936. The name was revived in 1983 and currently includes five international editions of the magazine. As of 2018, the Editor-in-Chief was Matthews Charles. Los Angeles Herald is most recognized for its celebrity pictures and the occasional controversy that surrounds its more risqué images. Furthermore, the publication is known for its energetic writing, in-depth reporting, and social commentary.

This week, Ian knew what the hot topics in the Los Angeles Herald should be. The next big movies that will be expected to release during the month of April were on the hot topics in Hollywood. Los Angeles Herald was a magazine that thoroughly focused on them.

Reading the article,

“BOY GOT LUCKY,” WILLIAM SAYS ABOUT IAN.

It is almost the end of March and in April, we await a new horror movie by our very own director William. When we went to meet William, he was already getting ready to share all those glorious details and thoughts about the newest movie that will be out in no time.

Orlando, our famous journalist, had the greatest opportunity to meet this wonderful man while trying to get any and every possible detail about the newest release that might do wonders in the near future.

“What is 'The 13th Street' according to you?” The question was asked…

[...] “The boy got lucky once, won’t again,” That is how William responded to our very last question. As far as we know both The 13th Street and La La Land will be released on the same date, and it is just a matter of time till we find what goes where in the history of Hollywood.

Orlando McKlein, The journalist.

Edited by Sam Kiara.

This as-told-to was edited and condensed for context and clarity.

After reading the article, Ian knew that it was just an arrogant remark. As William didn’t know how good La La Land was, he was just spitting words to appear confident and claim how sure he was in his work.

Moreover, it was only a possibility for an experienced director to say such, due to how many young directors gain the spotlight and direct movies that become huge hits and then fade away among the other projects that don't fit Hollywood's theme.

Reading the magazine, Ian wasn’t even worried a bit. It was because Ian, himself, hadn't seen or known what is in The 13th Street and was feeling more than confident with La La Land being a big hit after its release.

Putting the magazine away, Ian got out of his car and went into the studio to meet his uncle Mason for a bit.

“Ian, good morning!” Mason said and smiled while continuing to type in his computer that sat right in front of him.

“I saw the magazine, and I’m not even worried,” Ian said and smirked. Hearing this, Mason let out a laugh knowing who William is. William was known for his rude remarks about upcoming directors every now and then. But only time would tell for sure, Mason thought to himself.

Ian got out of his car to meet the CEO of the creative branch of LeoTv to talk about Lucifer as they had asked him to meet today. The distribution company that already had relationships with LeoTv made it easier for Ian and them to meet. Ian got out and went inside the huge building that had ‘LeoTv’ written on a huge silver plate and had neon lights emphasizing the board in the background, in front of the building.

As he went inside and said who he was, Ian got directly shown to where the CEO’s office was. Passing different types of office rooms, and a long corridor, he was finally in front of a wooden door, which had the CEO’s name written on it.

Ted Peters
Co-CEO and Chief content officer, director.

He looked at the nameplate and knew it was his chance to get into a business with some large scale profits.

“Go on in, Mr. Renner,” The brunette who showed the way said, opening the door and flashing him a friendly smile before walking away.

Right after he went in he was greeted by a middle-aged man. A man who was left with only a little bit of hair on his head, grey, and someone who seemed to look like they would fit in a McDonald’s ad in no time. He was looking extra-pointy with his narrow eyes and thin lips.

The guy was dressed in a black suit with a silver tie and was behind a huge wooden table that sat in the corner of the office. The four walls of the office looked extra tight now that his judgmental gaze fell upon Ian.

“Hello, sir. I am Ian Renner,” Ian introduced with a smile and went in to shake hands.

Taking his hand in his, the man greeted him back. “Hello, Ian. Please just call me Ted, It’s so nice to meet you,” Ted said and laughed.

“The feeling is mutual, Ted. So, how did you like the script?” Ian asked without thinking more.

“Yes, before that, what do you prefer, tea or coffee?” Ted asked with a smile.
