She didn’t hate life in the orphanage.

When Fiona said that, Lucrezia was always angry.

“Don’t say nonsense like that! Who could be satisfied with this?”

Although Lucrezia used to puzzle her sometimes, Fiona laughed it off thinking it was worry about her.

When Fiona gave a piece of pie, which was often served as a special treat, to another child, Lucrezia always brought it back.

“Lu, it’s okay if you don’t do this.”

“It’s not okay! Take your share!”

“I gave it to Peter because I’m fine.”

“I’m not okay.”

No matter who the opponent was, Lucrezia had no regrets even if they were a child. Even slapping the cheek or kicking on the shin, she came to get back what Fiona gave, but Fiona was rather embarrassed by Lucrezia’s action.

Fiona told her not to do this, but Lucrezia didn’t believe her.

Of course, Lucrezia still kept taking her share back, so even when Lucrezia was not there, Fiona started to leave her special treats in place, because Lucrezia always took the special meals that Fiona brought out for her.

“That’s what used to happen, but one day it started to get weird.”

It was definitely the day Edgar came back from work outside. Edgar was working as a temple knight, and he always returned even though he could leave the orphanage.

For him, Fiona cut his favorite pie and kept it separate. Edgar and Lucrezia came back together, and Fiona took out Lucrezia’s pie first. Lucrezia triumphantly took the pie and looked at Edgar before Fiona took Edgar’s piece too and gave it to him.

“If I’m not here, you don’t need to take care of it.”

Edgar said so, but Fiona replied with a smile.

“It’s not a special gift, so don’t worry. Even if you’re not there, I’ll keep your share.”

“I see.”

Edgar looked relieved and somewhat disappointed. Fiona was about to say another word when a pie flew into her face.

Puck.

The shock of being hit in the face was greater than the momentary pain she felt.

“Lucrezia!”

Edgar stood up in surprise and Fiona stared blankly at Lucrezia, who was staring at Fiona with a distorted face.

“What are you doing!”

Edgar shouted again, but Lucrezia stared at Fiona without even looking back at him.

“You lied to me all this time.”

Said Lucrezia as if squeezing the words out of her mouth. She then ran outside and Fiona’s tears welled up in her eyes.

Tears of embarrassment, surprise, and anger at the sudden event.

After that, Fiona avoided Lucrezia, and Lucrezia pretended to not even know Fiona.

But soon, Fiona found out the puzzling fact that Lucrezia had taken back all of the belongings that Fiona had given to the other children.

She went to Lucrezia to protest, and she answered calmly.

“It doesn’t matter who you give it to, right?”

“What?”

“Fiona gave it away to them because you didn’t need it, did you? So it doesn’t matter who has it, right? You’re giving it away without any special meaning or thought.”

“What are you talking about? I gave it to them because they need it.”

“Oh really? Why does Kalda need a ribbon like this? This is the ribbon that Edgar gave you.”

Lucrezia fluttered the ribbon and drew closer to Fiona.

“Give me everything if you don’t need it. It doesn’t matter, right? Whoever has it.”

“It does matter. Give back the ribbon, the bracelet, and the handkerchief.”

“No.”

Lucrezia said so and looked back at Fiona who had a dumbfounded face. Anger flared up.

“Why the hell are you doing this?”

Her voice was high, and Lucrezia smiled.

“Are you mad? Because I stole your stuff? Didn’t you listen to me when I told you to take your share?”

“That and this are different.”

“How so?”

Fiona was stunned for a moment, it was impossible to communicate with each other. She said forget it and left the room leaving Lucrezia behind.

“From then on, we had a bad relationship. But when she found out that I had special abilities, her reaction was strange.”

“How?”

When Nina asked, Fiona contorted her face.

“She said a few times ‘I got it. That’s it, that’s why. She was like that because Fiona was a saint’.”

“Give me that power.”

For a moment, I got goosebumps and stuttered “That’s impossible,” but Lucrezia only laughed.

“But for Fiona, the orphanage is enough, right? You don’t need anything else, do you?”

No matter how many times I replied I don’t know how to give it to you, I can’t give it to you.

“Then you just need to know how.”

And after saying that, Lucrezia disappeared from the orphanage.

“Honestly, I was relieved. But after that, everything was crazy. I was called a Saint, had to do tests and a lot of other things… and we met again in the laboratory.”

It was in the laboratory that I met her again. At first, I thought I was hallucinating because of the pain. But soon learned that Lucrezia in front of my eyes was real. When I told her to save me, Lucrezia laughed.

“I’ve never seen Fiona cry like this. It’s the first time I’ve seen you in agony or despair. It’s really ugly. What would Edgar think when he sees it? I’m the only one who knows this face.”

She had a happy face, Fiona just blankly stared at her and Lucrezia whispered.

“Do you love everyone because you’re a saint? Then I want to be the only person Fiona hates. Fiona, I’ll take everything you have. Every drop of your blood is mine.”

Whispering, she dipped her fingers into Fiona’s blood dripping from the bottom of the lab table and carried it to her lips.

“It’s really sweet.”

Bright red eyes and snake-like long pupils looked down at her.

She felt dizzy. The world went round and round and nausea came up. Fiona groaned at her pain and blacked out.

Hearing her story up to there, Nina frowned.

“Her eyes were red?”

“Yes, just like the person you met back then.”

Nina thought about the human who had transformed into Bellac when Fiona mentioned Lucrezia.

She was a beautiful woman with dark blue eyes.

‘Well, there is also a magic that changes the eye color, she might be able to disguise to that extent.’

That woman also turned into a Bellac.

‘Then can Lucrezia also turn into a Bellac? So how does she get rid of the other Bellac?’

Fiona continued.

“And then… Lucrezia continued to torment me. She said she had Edgar in her hands and enjoyed seeing him begging for my life.”

Fiona’s eyes twinkled.

“But now she’s pretending to be a saint and Edgar is standing next to her.”

She took her cup and swallowed everything. Loudly putting the cup down, Fiona said.

“I want revenge.”

She looked at Nina.

“I want to get rid of Lucrezia. I want to hit Edgar, too!”

Fiona in her dream looked like an ignorant person who didn’t know anything about the world, but now Fiona is different.

‘Because in my dreams she grew up in the temple from a young age, was well-treated until spoiled, and barely saw what the outside world looked like……’

But now, that same Fiona had grown in the orphanage, her circumstances have changed, revealing the strength she had within.

“Then let’s do it.”

Nina said so, patting her knee lightly. Fiona was startled. Her light green eyes looked at Nina as if they were searching if it was real or a joke.

“Really?”

“Yes, I’ll get rid of Lucrezia and beat Edgar too.”

Nina said as if it was no big deal, and Fiona frowned. She seemed angry at first sight, but she was only holding back her tears.

“Really? Are you serious? Is Dame Nina really going to-.”

Again she groaned and burst into tears as she threw herself on Nina’s lap. She patted Fiona on the back.

How hard was it? How much pain she went through?

Nina had Adrian, but Fiona had none.

‘Edgar is a real dork.’

Nina sighed deeply.
