The words uttered were not funny at all, and both Jean and Benzel hardened.

Nina swallowed her words ‘Isn’t this just being misleading?’ as they came out.

After Alka greeted in the style of the Kingdom of Akara one more time, she became petals of roses and faded away.

Only the thick rose scent remained.

“What? Did she suddenly go away?”

Jean muttered in a bewildered voice, and Nina said, “I know”.

“I guess it’s time for a change.”

“What?”

“No, I was just talking to myself. Benzel, I’m sorry. I even made you run an errand for tea but we ended up without drinking.”

Nina ran at once, grabbed the tray from him, and nodded at the table.

“Would you like to drink together?”

Benzel nodded his head in a dark mood. Alka mercilessly spat out what he had been trying to avoid while staying here.

As Benzel tried to take a seat, Jean scrambled to take one of the only two chairs available.

‘There is no place for you.’

The expression was so obvious that Nina gave a seat to Benzel.

“I’ll bring another chair.”

“What? no-.” (Benzel)

“Tell him to bring his.” (Jean)

Jean’s blunt voice made Nina squint her eyes.

“No, Benzel is sitting here.”

Forcing him to sit down, Nina brought another chair to one side of the terrace.

“It’s not something difficult to do.”

Nina sat down in the chair, distributed the teacups, and said.

“I’m not that good with tea, though.”

Saying so, Nina put the tea leaves into the teapot and turned the hourglass. Louis was amazingly good at this, so even though they used the same tea leaves, the taste was different.

As she watched the sand in the hourglass fall, Nina said.

“The capital is noisy, but it’s really quiet here.”

“Pan and Hayden must be sweating until the soles of their feet.”

Jean chuckled.

Charlotte, Kell, and Raja went down to the Duchy, and the two came up.

They were also contributing to the pursuit of The Cult. Adrian was asked to lead them, but he politely declined.

‘That’s right. As the Commander of the Knights, I also think he should not come to the front.’

Recalling her dream, Nina thought to herself. Maybe he feels the same way?

“What do you think I should do?”

Suddenly, Benzel opened his mouth and lifted his head. His face was hardened and both his fists were clenched on his knees.

“Dame Nina, what should I do-.”

“If I decide, will you do what I tell you?”

At Nina’s words, he put on a desperate expression.

“If Dame Nina speaks-”

“If I do that, it’s the same.”

“What?”

“It only changes who the master is, but isn’t the situation the same as you are still obeying orders?”

Nina tried not to speak in a tone that was too serious but to no avail.

Jean slightly turned his side gaze in her direction while saying inside, ‘Wow.’

‘Nina is really straight forward.”

Benzel opened his eyes wide and looked at Nina. Nina tried to mess a little with her hair but feeling it had gotten shorter, sighed and lowered her hand.

I have to stop with this habit now.

“Alka might have made fun of you, but I don’t think so. Benzel carried out Benzel’s thoughts.”

Giving yourself up as an experiment material?

How could that be easy?

It is not easy for someone who has everything as the Commander of the Lily Knights to give it all away. That must have been the best way to change his master’s heart without attacking his master.

However, Vialentel turned Benzel over to be a test subject.

What was she thinking?

As Nina, she won’t know.

“I know this was the answer that you came up with after thinking a lot about the situation, I have no intention of denigrating it. Just as you found this answer, you will find the next one.”

Nina made sure the hourglass had run out, put a silver strainer on the cup, and began pouring tea.

“Saying, ‘Do as you please’ would be too complacent, right?”

Nina looked at Benzel and smiled.

“I have nothing else to lose anyway. But, if the situation gets worst…” (Benzel)

Nina pondered and then asked.

“What if it does?”

Benzel looked at Nina intently and she pointed to herself.

“Me? What about me?”

“Dame Nina will……”

Nina pondered a little more, then she said.

“If Benzel goes back to the Princess and becomes an enemy, then you become an enemy.”

Her words were light and simple, but on the contrary, Benzel seemed to be struggling even more. Jean clicked his tongue.

“What are you talking about? It doesn’t matter to you if you worked hard to save him and he goes and becomes your enemy?”

“What? No, I respect Benzel.”

“You don’t care enough if you don’t mind him turning into an enemy, right?”

“Jean!”

What are you talking about! Nina opened her eyes wide.

“Of course, I don’t like it. What would be good about that scenario? But, that’s just how much I respect him.”

Nina frowned as she spoke, and Jean glanced at Benzel. Seeing his face brighten, he grunted as Jean crossed his arms.

“What’s so pretty about that guy?”

“It’s not pretty.”

Nina shook her head.

Still, she did save him, and if he did survive, isn’t it better to live the way you want to live?

Nina looked at Benzel. He picked up the teacup and said.

“Can I think about it a little more?”

“Sure.”

Nina straightened her seat and leaned her body against the back.

The weather was nice, and she was in a good mood to have tea with the people she liked. Nina’s head nodded to the side and she began to doze off while hugging the cushion and basking in the sun.

“Hey.”

‘Doing all sort of things,’ he murmured under his breath and stood up. He made sure she was asleep by waving his hand in front of Nina’s eyes. He gently hugged Nina, and after cautiously lifting her, Jean glanced at Benzel. He advised in a low voice.

“I like the enemies scenario. If you walk out on your own feet and go back to that place, you’ll never see a strand of Nina’s hair again, because I’ll cut your throat.”

Jean’s hostility was unyieldingly clear, and even Benzel felt it was better off that way.

“I know.”

Benzel politely replied. Jean snorted from his nose, secured Nina, and went inside.

“Anyway, sleeping defenselessly out in the open, she’s still a cub.”

He was happy because it seemed like it meant she believed in him, but his words came out blunt as always.

Nina opened her eyes as she felt the stealth movement.

“Uh, did I sleep?”

Jean said to her, who was rubbing her eyes carelessly.

“Why are you sleeping there?”

“The sunlight was nice, so… I’m sorry. It’s okay to drop it off now.”

Jean didn’t budge. As Nina looked at him with puzzled eyes, he looked at her and said with a growl.

“If you go to a dangerous place alone again, I won’t leave you alone.”

“Huh-.”

“You will? Or you won’t? If not I’ll keep holding you like this.”

“I won’t.”

Nina answered quickly, and Jean dropped her off. After Alka’s story, she knows that work is not done yet.

“Go and get some sleep, I will report to his Grace.”

“Yes, I got it.”

Nina nodded her head. Jean went to Adrian and replayed every line of the conversation they had with Alka.

Adrian nodded his head.

Whatever form the enemy took, his plans remained the same.

‘First of all, let’s focus on what is in front of us.’

They had no choice but slowly break it down.

────── •❆• ──────

Fiona said she would actively cooperate with the plan.

The first step was fully recovering and going back to her original form.

Kirill’s medicine, delicious meals, and even her own will. With all the three in place, Fiona’s recovery was remarkably quick. She gained modest weight and her platinum hair regained its smoothness.

Her face became plump, and her creamy skin was adorable.

Moreover, she fiercely trained until mastering the method of controlling her own powers by using the seed crystals, and now she is fairly adept at manipulating the powers.

True to his nature as a scholar who likes to classify things, Randell named her power ‘purification power’, as the name ‘spirit power’.

“Saints is rather funny.”

It was his habitual set phrase. To Randell, Fiona was just someone with a special ability.

Fiona and Randell bumped into each other a few more times after that. Nina told Fiona about Randell, but Fiona was adamant.

“Why is being hurt in the past, an indulgence-free-pass for hurting others?”

“No, it’s not an indulgence-“

“Never mind about it, Dame Nina. This is me and that…human being……”

Fiona gritted her teeth. Her tone had a nuance that didn’t even want to call him a ‘human being’.

“…..It’s a matter between us.”

“All right.”

Pushed by Fiona’s might, Nina had no choice but to bow her head.
