“Peach……”

Randell looked at Nina in a daze. Peach. At this time of transition from fall to winter.

It was a request that seemed difficult but not exactly so.

If he were an ordinary guy, he would have said, “That’s impossible.” But he’s a great wizard. It’s not like there’s no room to make it happen.

It was a question that can be answered because he was a wizard.

He nodded.

“Good, because I’m a wizard.”

“Yes.”

As Nina laughed, Randell reached out and took her by the wrist.

“I want to take you somewhere, just like this.”

“Please bear with that.”

Randell felt rather refreshed because she replied cleanly and hit it straight on.

“Nina.”

“Yes.”

“I am.”

He stopped talking. His gaze fixed on Nina and he laughed.

“I’m glad I’m Nina’s friend. I’m glad I didn’t quit this friendship even after you plunged into the sea back then.”

“Are you giving up with just that much, friend?”

“Isn’t it?”

“No. More than that, Randell needs to increase his number of friends.”

“To put up with idiots who can’t understand words is enough for having disciples.”

“No, you should have a little more. Huh? Disciples?”

Nina asked in surprise, but Randell ignored that and said.

“I will send Edgar back to the Duke if he asks for his whereabouts because it’s right to dispose of him according to the law on this side.”

“Okay.”

“Then, I’ll go now.”

“Are you going already? Go back tomorrow. You can stay the night-.”

“I don’t want to sleep here, just for today.”

Randell said so and brushed his hand through Nina’s long pigtails. As the night air blew, his cloak and Nina’s silver hair swayed wildly.

“Good night, Nina.”

Smiling, he waited for an answer. Nina let out a sigh.

“Good night, Randell.”

After their goodbyes, his figure became light and disappeared. As the days go by, his magic grows stronger.

‘Isn’t that the genius of the century?’

Nina thought so while leaning on the railing and sticking her upper body out. The fountain in the night garden was visible in the distance.

“Yap.”

Jumping over the railing and sliding down through the lower roof, Nina landed on the lower balcony.

It was a smooth movement without a single sound. Then she made a light leap, jumping over a few balconies before she got where she wanted to be.

“Hi, Adrian.”

“Hello, Nina.”

Adrian leaned against the balcony railing and said hello. He reached out

“Come over this way.”

Nina took his hand as she lightly hopped across to the balcony. Inside it, there was a standing table with a glass and a bottle of whiskey placed on it.

“Have you been drinking?”

“It’s Brandy.”

“Brandy is also alcohol.”

All alcohol is the same.

“Sometimes I wish Nina would open up her taste buds too.”

“You’re drunk.”

“With one glass?”

Adrian laughed and Nina kept her mouth shut because Adrian was strong in alcohol.

In comparison, she did not seem to be very good at breaking down alcohol.

In a word, weak.

Nina grabbed his hand and sat down on the railing.

“Adrian.”

“Hmm?”

“I am only for Adrian.”

“Why this all of a sudden?”

He filled the glass with a burst of laughter. Despite his nonchalant appearance, Nina went on without a hitch.

“Because of Randall.”

Nina leaned her body towards him.

“You have no need to worry. To be honest, Adrian. I’m the one that has to worry. Because you often try to leave me behind.”

At this assertion, Adrian squinted his eyes.

“What? When did I?”

“You’ve done it twice.”

“Me?”

“Yes. When the Duchess shaved my hair! And when I joined the Dark Knights!”

Adrian was perplexed. He never thought that he would be questioned about something from back then, now.

Even then, those were serious and urgent reasons!

Saying it like that didn’t look dangerous at all. Adrian was dumbfounded because Nina roughly abbreviated almost dying of fever with having her hair shaved.

“At that time, there was a good reason-”

The reason why he couldn’t speak was that his mouth was physically blocked.

Nina’s lips touched his mouth and then fell.

“What could be the reason?”

“Your life-.”

“What could be the reason?”

“We-.”

“What? I can’t you hear me?”

At this point, he don’t know if it was better to keep talking or not.

No, do I have to keep going?

‘It’s good, but it’s difficult.’

I’m not even drunk, but I’m confused.

“I never left Adrian. I was just trying to stick close to you. Do you have any excuses?”

“That…….”

This time his mouth was not blocked. Adrian had no choice but to admit it.

It’s true.

Nina was always there for him. In fact, he never thought Nina would abandon him even before they became like this.

Even if she was far away, she will definitely come back.

“But that doesn’t mean you love me the most.”

A silly comment came out of his mouth.

Nina seemed to think again about his words.

“Hm, but Adrian.”

She wraps his hand she was holding around her waist.

“I only do this with Adrian.”

Nina wrapped her hands around his neck and gave another light kiss on his lips.

“You don’t do this just because of love.”

At Adrian’s words, Nina raised her eyebrows.

This person, really.

Nina was not angry.

Adrian and Nina both know each other well.

They knew the anxiety lingering in their hearts and they talked about insecurities by opening up to their own weaknesses.

In a word, they would whine at each other.

In this case, people would say things like, ‘What do you mean by that? Does Adrian do this with someone he doesn’t love?’ and that would be the end.

I can’t accept your anxiety or your weakness. You take care of your anxiety by yourself.

‘I don’t like thinking like that.’

So instead of being indignant, she was lost in thought again.

Adrian looked closely at Nina’s face.

Her eyelashes turned downward. Those neat and straight silver eyebrows were pretty.

Oh, there is a mole above her eye. He didn’t see it before because it was dim. It must have been in the part that folds when she opens her eyes. Has it thickened recently?

Blinking, shining golden eyes looked at him for a moment.

He liked that penetrating gaze.

“Adrian Racan Luverne.”

Adrian looked at her silently.

“Adrian is the only one who can break me.”

Something like a shock hit him and passed through his insides. He involuntarily held his breath.

Nina’s golden eyes did not waver. Straight eyes that do not show even the comfort of fear or anxiety while talking about the most fearsome of things to her.

“You are the only one who can shatter me, shake me down, and make me feel the most miserable in the world.”

His spine was tingling.

A shiver ran through his body.

Jumbled emotions, difficult to categorize. He had to kiss Nina in order to let out the choked breath as if it had been blocked from the inside of his throat.

Adrian’s hands tightened around Nina’s slender waist. Supporting her bending waist, he put a leg between her legs raised from sitting on the railing and indulged himself frantically.

After the blatant act ended with gasping sounds, Adrian’s fingers delicately caressed Nina.

Nina somehow laughed.

Like touching a house built of cards, like a sculpture made of soap bubbles, or a broken glass work, he was cautious yet pious in his caress.

Like a fanatic caressing the temple.

“Nina.”

He pulled away from her and lifted Nina’s chin. She was lovely with white cheeks turned red and watered eyes also tinged with a reddish glow.

Her golden eyes looked like thick honey.

Adrian couldn’t think of anything. Aristocratic behavior has already been abandoned. He couldn’t even think of an elegant, smooth sentence which was his specialty. He even forgot to put a smile on his face.

All he could say were simple words.

“I will never hurt you. I’ll cherish you the most in the world. My sword, my only knight, my sun. my Nina.”

Her smile came into his eyes.

“Yes, I know.”

She added.

“The one who makes me the happiest is Adrian.”

Adrian bit his lip. How can she pierce his insides like this every single time?

That’s too much

Adrian let out a long sigh and confessed to Nina with a deeper heart than when he first confessed his love.

“I love you, Nina.”

Nina smiled with pride and elation as if she had become a winner.
