“Your face is scary, General Manager.”

“Me? What do you mean, Vice Commander?”

Jean slipped away from Louis’ eyes that opened slightly. His purple iris was visible and soon he closed them again.

“I didn’t know I would be going through this kind of escapade with them at their age.”

“What’s wrong with their age?”

Jean raised his eyes, and Louis smiled subtly.

“I’m not blaming their age. No, I thought it was all over then.”

Understanding the time in the past that Louis was implying, Jean laughed out loud.

“Right? How many times have you gone looking for them in the past.”

“Yes, I had a hard time getting around. At that time, of course, it was led by Dame Nina.”

“Correct, she always hounds the young master to go outside even if she has to tie him up and drag him away.”

At Jean’s words, Louis smiled and nodded.

Nina often dragged Adrian out when they were both still teenagers. At one time, they both came back soaked in the water, and Adrian carried Nina, who had eaten the wrong fruit of the tree and had turned pale.

The young boy’s ability to be the perfect leader was flawless. However, when he came back from playing with Nina like that, Louis felt relieved when he saw the boyish look on his face.

“Anyway, I can’t wait to get back to the manor.”

Louis glanced at the carriage behind him. In the wagon, Kell was riding as Adrian’s double. Adrian pushed Kell in as a dummy and left with Nina instead.

He didn’t know there was a magic tool that can be used to change the color of the hair and eyes of a person.

‘It’s fortunate that magic tools themselves are not common. It would be difficult if it were commercialized.’

It would have been quite hard to find wanted criminals. The tool, developed by Randell, was not yet known to the world, so it was very convenient to use.

Louis said to Jean.

“I never thought Seiur Randell would cooperate with him.”

Jean said, sweeping up his rough red hair.

“Well, maybe it’s because there’s Nina in the middle. I’m actually more relieved that they are together······. But not for such a dangerous thing, of course.”

Louis sighed again when he sarcastically said, “Isn’t it his duty to be safe?”

“I know he’s not that kind of person, but······.”

He can’t just keep it a secret from everyone and move alone like this.

“I can only hope that Dame Nina will take care of him.”

“It’s going to be okay. She’s very thorough when it comes to the master.”

At Jean’s words, Louis nodded.

Adrian carefully put firewood on the fire. Watching the sparks fly, Nina looked sick of everything.

“I never thought I’d become so famous.”

Every time they stopped by the village, everyone looked at her and asked.

“Are you, by any chance, the commander of the Dark Knights?”

“Are you Dame Nina?”

No, should she say it was rather civilized when she was asked first?

“Nina La Dell!”

“Silver Hawk!”

“Imperial First Sword!”

There were many people who gathered while straight out screaming at her. Eventually, Nina gave up staying in the village for the night and chose to sleep in the open.

“You got good ingredients for a cheap price, didn’t you?”

He was pretending to be Kell, so he was speaking respectfully. Nina sighed deeply at Adrian’s words.

“Yes, but every time we visit a village, I suddenly get tired just by thinking that it’s going to be the same show again.”

The mumbling Nina laughed at the thought of “silver hawk” among her nicknames.

“Why is everyone comparing us to animals? Why am I a Hawk and Jean is a Bear?”

The black hawk is the symbol of the Dark Knights, so the silver-haired commander herself must be a silver hawk.

Adrian took the bracelet out of his arms and threw it.

The shiny bracelet fell in a perfect semicircle above the campfire, making it easy for Nina to snatch it.

“What is this bracelet?”

“Wear it on and touch the jewelry.”

Nina wore the bracelet on her wrist and pressed the opal-like jewel in it. She suddenly felt a rush of pressure.

“What is this?”

Adrian picked up the copper frying pan he had prepared for cooking and showed her the smooth bottom. Even though the reflection was blurred, she recognized at once that her hair reflected on the pan was black.

“What?”

Surprised, Nina pulled her hair.

My hair is black.

When she pressed the jewel one more time, it became dark pink, and when she pressed it again, it became a military blue color. When she pressed it again for the fourth time, it returned to her original silver hair.

“What’s this?”

“Wouldn’t just changing your hair color and hairstyle get you out of the mess?”

“No way. Did Randell make it?

“Yes.”

Nina raised her eyes and looked at Adrian. He showed her the bracelet he was wearing.

“It’s amazing.”

Nina pressed one more time to change her hair color to black and untied her pigtails.

“They won’t recognize this, right?”

“I think so.”

“Okay, then for now we go with this.”

With her original hair color back, Nina tied her hair together for a meal.

Adrian picked out the wood that had been lit from the bonfire, put it under the stall, and raised the frying pan. Since the commander doesn’t cook, of course, it’s up to the members to prepare for the meal.

And he looked quite happy with it.

He baked eggs and salted pork that they had just bought in the village and served bread.

“It’s delicious. I didn’t think I’d sleep outside and have a delicious meal.”

“Because the village was close. If we continue to camp out, we will have no choice but to eat dried fish.”

“I guess so. Maybe it’s because someone else made it, it tastes much better.”

Perhaps it’s because she was eating outside, but Nina stuck out her plate again and again. Adrian baked eggs and pork three more times.

When ordering a whole salted pork, the merchant’s surprised face and voice came to mind.

“What? If you don’t put it in a saltwater bucket, it’ll go foul on your trip, sir.”

‘If we eat this by tomorrow morning, it will be all over.’

After dinner, he set up the bonfire. Not too bright, and not too dim. Nina curled up looking at the flickering light.

“Hmmn, they’re quite sticky.”

Adrian nodded at Nina’s words.

The clingy gaze was sticky. It was a presence that they already felt the moment they left the gate. They shook it off with the speed of the unicorns, but now they could feel it again.

‘Well, they must be catching up now. Normally, they would have to switch horses a few times, even at full speed.’

Once you run, it will take about half a day.

“Because it’s summer.”

Nina grinned at Adrian, who answered the question of stickiness.

“It feels pretty good, listening to honorifics. Did my young master feel this way?”

“He would have liked it better when spoken comfortably to.”

“Really?”

“Sure, and if you want, he’ll speak respectfully with you.”

“Oh, I don’t like that.”

Nina giggled. Her eyes were still golden, shining brightly in the dark. There was the sound of the campfire and the sound of grass bugs crying.

Even though it was summer, there was a cold and fresh wind around. Adrian knew that Nina was using North Wind.

North Wind always hovers next to her, who hates the heat. So the members always wanted to form a group with Nina during summer activities.

It was always cool and insect-free within the range of Nina’s North Wind. But during the winter season, the people who group up with her stick to her for a different reason.

After drinking poison, Nina used to catch a bad cold every winter.

Suddenly, Adrian asked.

“Commander.”

“Huh?”

Nina, who was staring blankly at the flame, looked up.

“I heard you used to catch a cold in winter, are you okay now?”

“Why wouldn’t I be okay? Since I became stronger, my durability also became much different from the past.”

It would be appropriate to use the word “endurance” on a person’s body, but he knew what she meant.

“I hope so.”

Adrian’s expression darkened.

‘It’s weird.’

Black hair and light pink eyes.

Even though he has clear peridot eyes with pale purple hair, the shade is visible in them. Just as there was a shadow on the moon, so was Adrian’s eyes.

“It’s all right now.”

Nina smiled and said, then Adrian also changed his expression.

“Well, being sick wasn’t always so bad. It makes everyone worried, but I can sometimes have the things that I wanted.”

She laughed.

“You know, the young master-.”

She glanced at Adrian and said.

“Because I said that I wanted to eat peaches when I was sick with a cold but we can’t get peaches in winter, it must’ve stayed in his mind for some time.”
