The one that appeared was Kobold. They are larger than the furball kobolds around Cruz, so the furball kobolds may be children and the kobolds that appeared may be adults.

That new kobold, however, was two in number. Hands? He's poised over here with a wooden stick in his hand, but he's trembling with his tail between his legs. He must be just as afraid of the queens as the furball kobolds are.

'Shu, could that be it?'

Yeah, I think it's probably one of these kobolds.

Oh, so that's why the queens didn't do anything.

There's more of you, Cruz!

No, I'm the one to begin with!

He had been attacked by the furball kobolds earlier, so he had been alerted to his surroundings and was aware of the new kobolds. Probably the queens had noticed it too. But the furball kobolds weren't particularly harmful, so I didn't do anything because I thought these kobolds would be fine too.

'You guys, are those kobolds your friends?'

Cruz spoke to the furball kobolds. The furball kobolds, to their horror, ran towards the frigid kobolds with their tails to see if they knew each other.

I guess we are friends after all.

Did you come here to find me?

'You've got a wooden stick, so maybe you were trying to save it from us, or maybe you were trying to save it from the Queen?

Wuff?

As a queen, I'm confused because I didn't mean to do anything, but depending on how you look at it, it's like the queen kidnapped us.

When the furball Kobold reaches his companions, Kobold with a wooden stick is sheltering the furball Kobold behind him and glaring at us.

'See, I'm still wary,'

Is this the Queen's fault?

"Can-Can-Can." "Woof!

But here the furball kobolds started talking about something, and the kobolds took turns looking at the queens, Mr. Cruz, and the furball kobolds. After that, they continued to discuss "wang wang" and "can-can-can"? continued, and then he put down the wooden stick and approached us to see if the conversation had been settled.

Then he looked at the meat skewers and the soup and started slobbering, as if he was going to have a discussion with us.

Gurgling.

I asked the Queen to procure some new meat and handed it to Kobold, who started eating the meat skewers with no less vigor than the furball Kobold. Both Kobold and Kobold must have been very hungry.

They finally got to the point where they could talk. The furball kobold was lying beside me, his stomach pumping up again as he started eating meat skewers.

"Woof!" "Can-can-can!" "Woof-woof!

Enough to start talking to the Queen, Kobold, and Furball Kobold, and I have no idea what they're talking about. But the Queen and Kobold seem to get through to me, so I wait. I wait for now.

Here's what we learned from the discussion. The Kobolds built a small village, and lived quietly so that humans wouldn't find them. One day, an ant monster attacked their village. He appeared out of nowhere and was angry about something, but we don't know why. Yes, I have a feeling I have a clue why, but if I'm right, isn't the ant nest too big? Anyway, putting the ant story aside, I heard that the kobolds in the village ran away with their clothes on (though the kobolds didn't have any clothes on). And although the Kobolds were apparently a family, their child got separated from them and they were looking for him or her.

I see, that's pretty much it. So why are these guys sticking with me?

I know why Kobold was here, but I didn't tell him why he was attached to Mr. Cruz. Or rather, it was too hard to say as it was.

'Do you want to hear it?'

Oh!

Well, he thought you were with him, right?

You think I'm Kobold?

'Yeah...'

Cruz was shocked to hear the expected answer and froze, and he froze.
