'All the big players are buying up all the medicinal herbs and we can't buy them at all.

It's hard enough with all the taxes going back up to get into town.

You can't even get any more potions.

''I wish we could buy it directly from the adventurers here, but I'm a little afraid of the monsters coming in, so...''

We're having an informational lunch meeting right now. Basically, this village is busy in the morning and evening because it is stocked for adventurers heading to the forest and adventurers returning to town. So I talk to other stallholders and buy them lunch while I gather information.

Most of the information I heard was just what I knew or expected, but I got to know more people, so it's good.

But how many of these gray wolves are out there?

Well, quite a few of them...

In the course of our conversation, we talked about the wolves. This is because they opened a stall here because of the visible forces of the wolves. Even at the entrance to the forest, monsters will come out. However, most of them are hornrabbits and gray wolves. Then at the very least there is a gray wolf here, even if we are attacked, we can fight more than evenly. That's what he thought. Well, I thought it was too ambitious, but our wolves have been trained by the queen to be very strong, so it's not a problem to have them expect it.

'The wine's good at our end! It's a little more expensive, though, because of the low production.

'The Republic had better watch out. They'll rip you off if you're not careful.

'The Empire is a meritocracy, so you should be careful if you're taking a squire with you.

The merchants were given a variety of information instead of the merchants were not going to have to be protected for free, too. Information on the specialties of the homeland and alcohol, I was also told about the neighboring countries. I've heard of this before in port towns, but I'm sure it would be helpful to have information from a different direction.

When we are having such a lunch and information exchange meeting, sometimes adventurers join us. They also gave me information from the adventurer's point of view.

As we took it easy, the number of shops began to increase, and the number of adventurers began to increase as well.

As it grew, the number of adventurers working overnight has also increased. It's probably because the merchants, including our own, were also staying out in the field, but there were a decent number of people staying here because they could use the time they had to return to town to explore the forest, since they could do simple purchases and shopping here. Especially for the newcomers, I guess the cheapest and wildest accommodation is not that different.

So, as the number of people staying there increased, we needed dinner, and since our bread is mainly take-out, we started serving meat skewers and soup that can be eaten on the spot. There are a lot of foodstuffs in the vicinity, so it's probably a good thing for adventurers that the meat is bigger than when we were serving it in town.

''Here, you guys need to eat well!

Yes, sir! I'll take it!

Are you guys drinking?

Oh, and don't drink too much, old man.

The night decided to serve alcohol in accordance with the grandfather's request to stay overnight. Alcohol is almost always weak so that you can get drunk in a place like this is a problem, but the old man was coming to drink every day.

It's partly because he's noisy every day, but also because he takes good care of the old man, so he buys a meal for the newcomers, and drinks for the veterans, so he was popular, or maybe he became a speciality.

Within a few days, he even held something like grandfather's fencing classes.

By the way, Grandpa, who are those strong-looking people drinking with their shoulders together?
