While in the middle of the whirlwind, the Theihorn's eyes narrowed as it sensed the whirlwind getting devoured by the huge fissure in front. The radius of the whirlwind decreased as it went into the fissure.

AHH-WOOO~!

The Theirhorn howled, and its eyes flashed. While opening its fang-filled mouth, the wind converged in front, forming a ball. The ball of wind grew in size, and soon after, the Theihorn aimed at the fissure.

The ball of wind spun crazily, leaving a trail of white draft behind as it flew toward Kyran.

Kyran, who barely absorbed the whirlwind inside his magic, saw the incoming ball of wind. His brow knitted as he gritted his teeth. His magic control had improved but using his magic to absorb another was still exhausting both mentally and physically.

The Theihorn's wind magic appeared to be above the level of the concentrated magic he once absorbed from the Four-colored Array.

Instead of taking in the incoming ball of wind, Kyran released the huge fissure, and he advanced a couple of steps. He raised his left hand toward the approaching ball of wind, and purple rings appeared circling in front of his opened palm. The purple rings connected and turned into a gigantic disc that collided with the ball of wind.

Air crackled as the two collided. The ground beneath Kyran cracked from the intensity of the magic collision.

The Theihorn did not stay idle. After releasing the ball of wind, it sprinted to its left, intending to pounce Kyran from the side.

Just then, Kyran's eyes turned silver as he activated the Regis Blessing, which further enhanced the Regis Body Tempering Technique. He heard the approaching Theihorn to his right and immediately summoned his magic on his right hand.

The Theihorn finally approached at the proper distance. It growled and leaped toward Kyran with its claws extending menacingly from its paws.

While maintaining the disc on his left hand, Kyran molded his magic formed Void Staff. He pierced the staff on the ground using it to hoist himself. Focusing the Regis Body Tempering on his right leg, he made a sidestep before performing a whip kick shooting out a dark purple force right at the Theihorn.

Seeing the approaching dark purple attack, the Theihorn's eyes flashed, and a small gust of wind covered him to protect against the attack.

But.

The Theihorn's eyes constricted as the dark purple attack easily sliced through its wind and continued to approach. It immediately crouched down with its scales glistened.

If one looked closer, the Theihorn's scales seemed to be coated by a thin white barrier.

This white barrier had wind property and could repel most of the powerful magic attacks.

The dark purple attack hit the Theihorn, and with a whimper, it was thrown back a few meters from the collision and hit a nearby tree.

Kyran's eyes turned reddish-purple once again as the disc on his left hand expanded and finally succeeded in entirely disintegrating the ball of wind.

Without waiting for the Theihorn to recover, Kyran unpierced the staff on the ground, and he sprinted to his right.

The Theihorn shook its head as it staggered to stand.

Kyran whirled the Void Staff on his hand while he drew close to the Theihorn. He jumped and lifted the staff using both hands above his head while aiming at the Theihorn's head. The staff pierced its head, pinning it on the ground.

The Theihorn howled and wriggled both in anger and pain. Its eyes flashed as the wind gathered around them once more.

Kyran knew that even though he pierced the Theirhorn's head and hit its brain, it would not die that easily. Besides, the Void Staff's diameter was too small to deal significant damage. He had a choice to aim at the Theihorn's neck and severe its head, but with its scales getting reinforced by magic, Kyran was unsure if his staff could penetrate it. He already realized that the less concentrated his void magic was, the weaker its penetrating and disintegrating effects were. If it failed and his staff recoiled, then the few seconds he needed to regain his footing would give the Theihorn a chance to retaliate. So, Kyran decided to restrain the Theihorn first.

After pinning the Theihorn, Kyran hoisted himself using the staff and skillfully landed on its back. Releasing his hold on the staff, he roused his magic, and Void Knuckles formed on his fists.

Ignoring the increasing wind around them, Kyran rammed his fists on the Theihorn's eyes.

BAM! BAM!

The Theihorn growled in pain as its punctured eyes splurted blood.

The wind around them suddenly died down.

Kyran's eyes narrowed at this change. It seemed the Theihorns used its eyes to control the wind.

Seeing that the glistening white scales of the Theihorn also dimmed, Kyran released his Void Knuckles and leaped. As he descended, a Void Long Sword formed on his left hand. He swung his hand, severing the Theihorn's head.

The Theihorn's head rolled on the ground as blood spurted out of its neck.

Kyran jumped back and landed with a soft thud on the ground. He released the long sword on his hand as he watched the Theihorn's body convulse.

After at least five seconds, the Theihorn's body finally fell to the ground.

Kyran took a deep breath. He belated realized how fast his heart was beating inside his chest, and sweat also dripped down the side of his face.

"But, it's not over yet," Kyran said under his breath as his eyes turned silver.

He looked to his right, and with his enhanced sight, he saw more Theihorns approximately 80 meters away approaching at an incredible speed.

Yes. The Theihorn's howl earlier had attracted more of its kind.

'Three. Four. No, seven.' Kyran counted the approaching Theihorns.

However, instead of escaping or getting agitated, Kyran walked to his right. A smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he roused his magic, and a Void Spear appeared on his left hand.

He already got three bodies of Theihorns in somewhat good condition, so he did not have to be cautious when dealing with the incoming Theihorns.

Besides, he had been itching to test out his new combat strategies now that he could use the molding technique. So far, he only had sparred with Sigma, and even then, he could not use his full capacity. Aside from this, the bandits he encountered earlier were too weak to give him any challenge.

Well, there was still the mutated Basilisk, and to be honest, Kyran wanted to try and kill it. However, the mutated Basilisk was too big for him to handle alone. He even had to adjust the size of his Void Spear to pin it down. Of course, he could go for a one-hit kill. But that meant he would not be able to get any materials, which would be a waste.

These materials were currently a good source of income for Kyran.

'Let's deal with these guys first,' Kyran thought and took out two energy replenishing potions from his pouch.

He drank the two potions and returned the empty bottles on his pouch before sprinting toward the approaching Theihorns.

===================

Bearch City was a medium-sized city in the southern part of the Ylfaen Empire, where Nhadal, Leycombe, and Tarrin towns were part of.

Even at night, the city gates were bustling with carriage and people, coming in and out. Most of which were merchants on their way to transport goods to other cities.

These goods mainly were spoils that mercenaries and hunters gathered from hunting around the Valley of Morte.

Three people wearing a black hooded coat entered the city gates without arousing suspicion from the city guards nor the people around.

"Find out any clues. I don't want to wait for an update. Let's meet up in Central Square by midnight." The figure in front said.

The Central Square was a building that belonged to the Chamber of Commerce located in the market district of Bearch City.

The figure on the left sighed and said, "This mission has too many unknown factors I'm getting a little pissed."

"It can't be helped," the figure on the right spoke. Though it was not obvious, the voice belonged to a female. "Out target's identity is too special."

"Do what you have to do. Stop whining," the man in front said.

"Okay. Okay. Then I'll go and find some clues in that place~," the man on the left said with a slight sneer before disappearing.

"Humph. He only wanted to play around," the woman scoffed.

"It doesn't matter as long as he gets something."

"Fine. I'll take my leave as well."

The woman did not wait for the man's consent and she also disappeared.

The man continued walking as if nothing happened. Even the people around did not find anything strange when the two people disappeared. To be precise, they appeared to be oblivious of their existence since they entered the gates.

The man took a left turn down a dark alley.

If one looked at the alley, they would find that the man had also disappeared.
