Chapter 9: Why do you pay so little attention to Galaxy?

Lai You only got a C rating, which was something none of the players expected. After all, the strength of the Galaxy trainees was obvious and almost all of Lai You’s teammates got A. Even the trainees from smaller companies got B, her getting a C could be considered as being at the bottom.
This couldn’t be! Lai You was stunned at first but then hatred emerged in her heart. She turned her head and glanced at Qiao Dai; her squinted eyes showed blatant hostility. Qiao Dai had gotten A and she was only a C? Was there really no shady business here?
As Lai You’s friend, Ruan Tao perfectly understood her teammate’s thoughts immediately. Before Lai You could speak, she reached out and grabbed Lai You’s hand before raising the other to talk: “Teacher.”
Ruan Tao’s voice was very sweet, with the tenderness of a young girl. As soon as she spoke, the audience’s attention quickly focused on her. Jiang Fengchi’s gaze also fell on her and he nodded: “Please, speak.”
Ruan Tao took a breath, slightly frowned her beautiful eyebrows, and asked: “May I ask how is this rating evaluated?”
Song Anni, one of the mentors, glanced at the list in her hand and smiled: “Ruan Tao, you have rated A. Are you asking for yourself or your teammates?”
This question was actually very meaningful; the former meant Ruan Tao valued her own strength, the latter meant she cared about her teammates. Song Anni was hoping she was asking for herself but Ruan Tao had not thought much, she had just felt Lai You getting a C was unfair. She looked at Song Anni and replied respectfully: “I want to know why my teammate didn’t get an A.”

[Ah, our Taotao is so good and kind, the first to speak for a teammate.]
[This rating was blindly chosen, how can Lai You only get C?]
The comments in the live broadcast room applauded Ruan Tao’s behavior and started questioning the rules of the program group. After all, there were a few people who had gotten an A and looked like they deserved less, or the opposite like Lai You.

The atmosphere was a little tense. Jiang Fengchi turned his head and glanced at the other tutors before picking up the microphone again: “This is the rating criteria.”
He stretched out his hand and tapped his head with his finger lightly: “You get an A by making us remember you.”
His eyes were like jewels, his facial features sharp yet delicate and his young face was outlined in the light, even more dazzling than usual. His action of tapping his temple with his index made him look very seductive and the girls at the scene were unable to stop their heartbeats from rising and their faces from blushing.

[Awsl, Brother Fengchi is so flirtatious ahhhhhhhh]
[Being remembered by Brother Fenchi is A. Oh my goodness, what a good way to say it!]
[What? I can remember who is who but Jiang Fengchi remembers so many people?]

“Ruan Tao.”
Jiang Fengchi softly said her name, his eyes glancing across her body, giving her the illusion of having her face gently held in his hand. Ruan Tao blushed and instinctively lowered her head.
“Luan Zhen.”
“Lin Lang.”
Each player rated A was named by Jiang Fengchi, his eyes quickly localizing them among the crowd and overlooking the other players, and the last one was Qiao Dai.
“Qiao Dai.”
“Here!”
When Jiang Fengchi said her name, Qiao Dai, who had secretly dozed off in the crowd, was called, abruptly woke up, and instinctively shouted, as if she had been caught by a military training instructor, causing everyone to look back at her and laugh.
She still had a hazy expression on her face and when Jiang Fengchi noticed it, the corners of his lips rose slightly before saying: “Well, you don’t need to raise your hand.”
Qiao Dai seemed to become aware that she was holding her arm high up and hurriedly shrank back before hiding behind Luan Zhen in shame.
If only she was back in the Pacific. Qiao Dai sighed in her heart, sea otters all looked similar and it was hard to tell who was who. It was hard to change her sea otter’s habit, she wanted to stick her head and hand out when she heard someone calling her name. And now there was no way to hide her face in the water and she could only hide behind Luan Zhen’s shoulder, peeking at all the people around her that were laughing.

[This little sister is too foolish, ah. Everyone is trying to get in front of the camera, only her try to hide.]
[Me, when called by the teacher for dozing off in class. Tears.]
[If the teacher is Brother Fengchi, I can stay awake! He is too handsome!]
There was another burst of jokes in the live broadcast room.

After naming all the A players, Jiang Fengchi slightly paused and said: “If you can make all the mentors remember your names for the first time among 101 players, you are qualified to be A.”
The entertainment industry was full of competition and opportunities and it was already a big step to make people remember your face among so many people. The reason the program team had opened the facilities of Shengshi Entertainment to shoot their self-introduction videos was for the trainees to realize that it was not just an introduction for a draft, but also sort of a business card, a stepping stone that could help you have everyone notice you and your ability faster.

Some contestants had noticed the intention behind it and had filmed very carefully and earnestly, allowing them to stand out among 101 candidates and some others had not but, with their own strength and singularities, had managed to shine.
But most players were neither aware nor talented enough to be unforgettable and were lost in the mass.

The girls were in an uproar. And Lai You’s face became even more ugly. She did not impress the mentors but could not even get B? Song Anni noticed her expression and shook her head in her heart.
To be perfectly honest, Lai You’s initial rating should have been a B, after all, Galaxy’s strength was there. Although Lai You had not highlighted any personal characteristics in her self introduction, her own excellent singing and dancing abilities were worth paying attention to. The reason she had only gotten a C was entirely because of her attitude towards other players.

Some people thought it was normal for talented people to be arrogant but, in the eyes of the four teachers, Lai You was far from strong enough others needed to bow their heads to her. Especially Jiang Fengchi; even if he was now one of China’s most famous stars, he was still very strict with himself, and this strictness was also reflected in his attitude towards others. He felt that managing interpersonal relationships were part of the business ability, particularly when you were in a group. Had Lai You not chosen to be part of this draft and a team, Jiang Fengchi might not have been so harsh with her. But today was a group competition and Lai You’s character was, undoubtedly, quite unstable in this environment, like a ticking time bomb.
Based on these considerations, they had given Lai You a C. But were Lai you ready to change during the program, the instructors would not hesitate to praise her.

[Y1s11, Lai You deserve this C. Her self introduction was very perfunctory.]
[Even if you didn’t take it seriously, you can’t be killed just like that, right? So many capable sisters are at the bottom like this?]
The audience accepted the explanation of the teachers but some people still thought it was unfair. After all, the introductions were only a short time and it had been edited afterward, they could not really rely on it for the initial ranking, could they?

As the broadcast room and players on the scene were still talking, Jiang Fengchi made a quiet gesture and the noise suddenly decreased. Everyone was waiting for Jiang Fengchi to speak next. He picked the microphone and his clean voice reached everyone’s ears:
“Next, we will start today’s on-site assessment. The instructors will give each of you a rating based on your stage performance, which are A, B, C, D and F. By adding this rating to the initial one will determine your final rating of the day; five points for A, four points for B and so on. In the end, the eleven players with the highest scores will enter Class A and the others will also be separated according to their own scores.”
“The first impression only determines the order in which you play and your strength will ultimately determine where you stand. Fellow trainees, I wish you a smooth journey and to make progress every day.”

The initial rating did not mean everything; in the next performance, anything was possible. Players who had just been sullen they had failed to introduce themselves immediately became determined when they heard Jiang Fengchi. For them, this was definitely an opportunity to remedy their rating. The contestants who felt they had not achieved their desired results were eager to try, while the ones who had gotten unexpected good evaluations were nervous, worried about whether they could continue to maintain their current ratings. Once more, the atmosphere on the scene became restless.

The audience watching the broadcast was not idle either. They began to calculate the order of the next appearances, according to the ranking from highest to lowest, grouping them by companies. The first to perform should be…
[Galaxy first, COCO second!]
[Wow, Lai You can do anything like this.]
[It’s so miserable, Galaxy will definitely dominate COCO.]
[COCO’s sisters are so pitiful, Galaxy’s sisters are just too strong.]

The netizens had already noticed Lai You had something against Qiao Dai and now the two of them would be performing in a row. The effect of the show would be explosive! With that in mind, they were getting ready for a good show.
And Qiao Dai, who was in the eye of the storm, stretched her hands to her face and started to rub it. When her hands were cold, she had to start rubbing them against her face to keep warm!

The melon-eating audience: ??? No, little sister, do you think so little of Galaxy?
