This is his first day here at this sorcerer's school called Jujutsu High, and they were just divided into two pairs for a 'Jujutsu Practice' where they are going to fight some curses.
Looking somewhat nervous, Yuta tried to talk to the group he was in as he stuttered trying to start a conversation, however, this only backfired as the green-haired girl wearing eyeglasses lashed out at him seeing his timid actions and manners.

Bull's-eye, huh? I totally get it, Even I'd bully you!
It's written on your face that you're branding yourself as a good person, It's sickening!

However, this didn't go any further as the half-masked guy and the panda finally stopped her seeing that the new guy wasn't looking too well.

Thankfully, this interference by her friends successfully stopped the conflict as Maki walked away while saying.
"Okey, fine, get off my case!"
Seeing this, Panda couldn't help but look at Yuta a bit apologetically and said.
"Sorry about that, she has a habit of acting like she understands others."

Following this small episode, everyone stayed relatively quiet as each pair was then finally sent to his destination, and for Yuta and Maki, that would be an elementary school where a group of children has gone missing.
However, before starting their task, Maki and their mentor Gojo had to explain to the newbie the basics, after all, he knew nothing about this hidden part of the world.
"You're saying the kids were kidnapped by a curse?" asked Yuta.
"Yup, two so far." Responded Gojo as he paused for a moment before continuing "We're here to exorcise the curse and save the children, and if they're dead, retrieve them!"
Hearing this, Yuta couldn't help but get startled.

However, Gojo didn't answer him as he raised two fingers in front of him as a seal and started setting up a barrier.
"Emerge from darkness, Blacker than darkness."
"Purify that which is impure."
Watching this, Yuta got shocked again as the sky suddenly turned dark and the barrier surrounded the place.
"It's turning into night?"
"It's a veil, a barrier that will smoke out the curse and keep you all from being seen from those outside, It's easy to undo from inside" Responded Gojo as he walked away, however, just as the barrier was about to completely separate them, he still left of an ominous warning.
"Now, do be careful...Not to die~~"
Hearing this, Yuta couldn't help but call out to him.
"D-Die? Sensei?!!"
It's just that before he could funny understand the situation, Maki spoke.
"Transfer Student, Don't get distracted!"
Saying this, she rushed toward the curses that suddenly appeared instantly cutting them using her weapon with one blow.
Following this, she turned toward Yuta who was looking amazed, and said.
"Come one, let's move it!"
"Huh? Where to?"
"Inside, Obviously!"
Saying this, she then rushed inside as Yuta followed her closely and hugged his loose white uniform, and asked.
"Zen'in-san, aren't you scared?"

"S-Sorry...But it really seems like ghosts would be here, though, we've already seen some."
However, Maki didn't care about his whining as she just calmly observed the situation.
'There aren't many curses here, even though the veil's been drawn, no, they are here, just not attacking.'

However, just as she was thinking hard, Yuta suddenly screamed in fright completely pissing her off.

"Jujutsu sorcerers are ranked in grades from 4 to 1."
"But I only just came to jujutsu high, I don't think I have that."
Facepalming, Maki finally couldn't hold it as she expanded her hand and said in frustration.
"Ughh, forget it! Show me your student Id, you got one from that dumb blindfolded guy, right?"

Snatching the card with some force, Maki looked at it while saying.
"Well, if you joined with no prior history, you're probably grade 4..."

As standing more than a kilometer away from their location, a silver-haired, and golden-eyed young man could be seen looking in their direction his eyes completely ignoring the distance as he observed them.
Looking at this pair, Lorien couldn't help but scratch his shin as he fell deep in thought.
'Yuta and Maki, one of my favorite characters in the original, I frankly don't mind helping them.'
'However, this is not the point now.'
'I am really curious as to why Yuta got the special grade rating considering that only those who can use domains are supposed to receive it, however, not to mention that, currently he can't even control his power.'
