Meanwhile, while all of this was happening Lorien was still practicing swordsmanship with Urokodaki
To be fair it was much easier than he previously expected, this was thanks to many factors, first of all, his innate talent improved by his awakening (transformation)
Secondly, it was thanks to him 'cheating' using his ability to accelerate his learning speed, his current 'acceleration' cant be compared to the one he previously used when he just awakened, as it also got more powerful with his increase in strengh
And finally, it was because he discovered that he already knew some of the basics of breathing techniques previously, which is something he hadn't noticed before
As someone who has reached the peak of normal swordsmanship and martial arts, he of course knew normal martial arts breathing
It is used in martial arts or swordsmanship mostly to enter a relaxed yet energetically efficient state which is good for training and combat
It is also naturally used when exerting force, but this sort of breathing is too simplistic and there is nothing special about it
This is also the reason he didn't connect it to the breathing techniques until he started training in the water breathing technique
Not that his previous thoughts were wrong, if we were to compare their complexity, the normal breathing for martial arts is a "1" while the demon slayer's breathing technique is a "100" at least
