Unbeknown to Lorien, from the moment his talent awakening began something else happened
At first, the tree that Lorien was resting on got 'erased' from the world and transformed into pure energy called 'Reality/Existence Energy'
This energy got absorbed by Lorien to fuel his transformation, after all the energy has to come from somewhere
And as the transformation continued, more things got erased and transformed into energy, starting with the soil he's sitting on and it expanded more and more as time went on
From a radius of 3 meters...15 meters...50 meters...100 meters...until it reached a 0.5 km radius did it finally stop
Everything in this radius disappeared, be it the soil under his feet, the numerous trees around him that used to obscure the sun and even some unlucky animals such as squirrels, birds.. in this radius were not let off, as before they could react they got *puffed* out of existence
Luckily for Lorien, he had no friends next to him at the moment, or else they might have gotten the same 'treatment' as the above
Of course, such a thing wouldn't happen every time someone awakens, first of all, every awakening is different
Moreover, this actually happened because of a number of reasons, first of all, the world Lorien is in right now has a very negligible to near non-existent amount of natural energy roaming in the air
The Natural energy in each world is very different in characteristics, quality... depending on the rules of the world and many other parameters, this Natural energy may be called Magic, Ether, Spiritual Energy, Reiki...
But The Natural energy in this world is very 'blank' and is not enough to fuel his transformation
And the second and most important reason is the nature of Lorien's Talent/Origin
If it were someone else with a different origin, let's say 'fire' for example, without the natural energy in the air and with the inability to transform things into pure energy
Even though the awakening will be successful it won't be so perfect, unless there is a forest fire going on and he/she starts absorbing those flames as fuel
Basically, everyone absorbs different things depending on their origin in the case of the absence or insufficiency of natural energy

A Couple of hours later
"ahhh~~"
Waking up from his small 3 hours 'nap' Lorien never felt this comfortable
It was the most comfortable feeling he had ever felt since he could remember, even some of the tiredness and some muscle pain he previously had because of workout...etc, completely disappeared
But then, looking around him groggily, all the sleepiness suddenly faded away in an instant
Jumping to his feet he looked around him with a solemn look on his face
But looking at the barrier that still stood strong, he felt relieved
"Why am I in a crater?!"
It looked as if an asteroid hit this place, moreover, Lorien could tell that he was at the center of whatever happened here
After Looking around for a couple more minutes he decided to give up thinking about it as he excitedly turned his attention to his Awakened talent
Checking himself Lorien could feel huge changes, first of all, his physique, right now his body is about 5 times better than before, be it in strength, dexterity, senses, durability...etc
Secondly, some sort of mysterious energy seems to have been born in his body because of the awakening
Focusing on it he could perceive that this multicolored energy seems in a state between dreams and reality as if it exists yet it doesn't
It is scattered in every corner of his body, but right now there is not much of it
And finally, when he thought about the talent he was supposed to get, a message automatically appeared in his mind explaining the ability he awakened
Its [Dreams & Reality Manipulation]
The powers of dreams and reality are actually 2 faces to the same coin which symbolizes existence and non-existence
To be more precise this ability represents the barrier between those 2 extremes
The combination of [Dreams & Reality] gives Lorien the power to create things from nothingness or more precisely break the barrier between dreams and reality as to turn said Dreams into a Reality
It also gives him the power of 'Erasure', which is reducing existing things to nothing but a dream or more precisely turning Reality into Dreams
Not to mention that 'each side of the coin' has its own separate power
[Dream] gives him the ability to manipulate dreams, walk in them, kill people in dreams, predictive dreams..etc
[Reality] gives him the ability to manipulate an already existing frame (world) and it basically turns Lorien into a reality bender
Which is very strong on its own, but what makes it stronger is the combination of the two, that is enabling Lorien to not rely on the existing 'frame' (World)
There is also a lot of other information waiting for him to digest slowly as they are too much for now and he has already understood the most important ones
And after receiving the information about the talent a miraculous instinct appeared in Lorien's mind and body enabling him to control those newborn abilities as if they were one of his limps, it's like he had it for ages
Feeling this newborn ability uncontrollable excitement and ecstasy appeared on his face
'It turns out this is my ability!!! HAAHHAHA and no wonder everything around me disappeared earlier'
Unnumerable ways he could use this ability flashed inside Lorien's head in an instant, after all as someone who watched and read god knows how many animes, novels...etc
The only thing he's not lacking is creativity and he can use what he saw before as examples to inspire himself
Taking in a deep breath of cold air as to calm himself he decided to try it out
Looking at the crater he's standing in, after receiving the information he now knew that he caused it and how it happened
But now that he looked around the world felt completely different to him, it's like he can see it from a different perspective
It now looked as if everything around is made of clay and he can change it at will and shape it as he pleases
Seeing this he raised his hands and tried to warp reality and change it back to how it used to be before the 'astroid impact' happened
1 Second... 2 Seconds... 1Minute...3Minutes.....
"Why is it not working??!!"
Looking confused at his hands a bunch of question marks appeared in his mind
Even though he somewhat knew for a fact that he can alter this crater at will it still somehow didn't work
'Maybe its because I chose a huge target and I just awakened... let's start small this time'
After walking for some time and with his speed now after strengthening he soon made it out of the huge pit
Looking at the forest in front of him while thinking his eyes finally stopped on a tree in front of him
Standing a meter in front of it he tried using his ability again this time turning this tree into a stone
3Seconds...30Seconds...1Minutes
"WHY!! IS IT NOT WORKING!!!"
Feeling frustrated he couldn't help but punch the tree in front of him to release some steam
But just as he touched it a look of confusion appeared on his face
'This feeling... Ugh I'll just try it, nothing to lose anyways'
Putting his hands on the tree he tried again turning it into stone.. and this time it worked, the tree in front of him instantly transformed without delay at a speed even he couldn't react to
Seeing this Lorien finally understood the problem, he had to be in contact with it to be able to alter it
Moreover, this also has limitations as when he transformed it he could feel some of the multicolored energy inside his body get consumed, not much but if he were to try and alter reality on a larger scale the energy needed would be astronomical
And that's not all, looking at the stone in front of him, from his perspective he could see that the 'clay' is getting restored at a slow rate by some sort of force to its original shape
"So, reality-warping isn't permanent... it's probably the world self-correcting..."
Turning his attention from the stone in front of him a feeling of disappointment couldn't help but appear in his heart
After all, when he first received the power he thought he would become super strong but now it appears he was just daydreaming
And then suddenly his eyes fell on another tree, to be more precise it was on the birds resting on top of it
In his perspective they were completely different, if everything else appears to be made of 'clay' then those birds are made of steel
In other words, he can't alter them even if he were to touch them using his [Reality] Ability
After digesting all that just happened, he got he basically understood the [Reality] part of his power
First of all, he can only affect things he is touching and this is only applicable to 'dead inanimate' things as he can't affect live things for now
Secondly, this altering is not permanent and the world will correct it slowly afterward
And finally, all of this consumes the multicolored dreamy energy scattered inside his body
