Hearing the sound of hurried footsteps, Lorien looked at the source, and as expected, it was Saeko and Shizuka who were heading his way.
Looking at them, Lorien's eyes couldn't help but shine as he saw those supernatural 'mountains' bouncing up and down.
'Those things aren't normal...'
'You couldn't get a couple like them even with surgery...'
'I like this world's rules, It's a world of culture...'
'I Should add such settings to each world I get control of in the future.'
Shaking his head, Lorien quickly threw those messy thoughts aside seeing as two girls finally reached him.
"You're finally here!" Said Lorien.
"Sorry, It took some time to wear clothes, so..."
Seeing their nervous look, Lorien couldn't help but smile bitterly, this is the result of him using his ability in front of those who have a 'normal worldview'.
Frankly, Lorien didn't like people acting so nervous around him, he prefers a relaxing atmosphere.
Thinking of this, he finally spoke in a gentle and friendly tone which caused them to visibly relax.
"Hahaha, Don't be so nervous! I won't eat you!"
'Maybe...'
"You may be wondering why I called you here, so I won't beat around the bush.
The first is food, I need someone to deliver food to the survivors regularly, and I decided to give this responsibility to you!" He said while looking straight at Shizuka.

Not giving her the chance to refuse, Lorien waved his hand which caused a big grocery cart to suddenly appeared nearby.
"Take this cart and go to that building." He continued as he gestured towards the food storage facility.
"It's open, There, you'll find food, just grab enough for today's consumption; There are about 18 survivors right now."
Hearing this, Shizuka looked at him in a daze for a couple of seconds before quickly reacting as she walked toward the cart and started pushing it forward in the direction of the food storage facility; Even now, she still looked confused.
Looking at her leaving back, Lorien shook his head for a moment as he then turned his head toward Saeko who looked very peaceful.
"Now for the second thing, which is much more important.
I am going to create a combat department that acts as both law enforcers to manage the base and as defenders from outside threats.
And after checking all the survivors, you are the most optimal choice for the captain's position.
So do you want to take it?"
Speaking all of this in one breath, Lorien then fell silent as he waited patiently for her response, but seeing her stay silent, obviously feeling hesitant, he couldn't help but push things a bit.
"Honestly, you are very talented in swordsmanship, and with little training, you can gain some supernatural power.
But the main reason I chose you is actually because of your bloodthirstiness which is a very good thing in this environment."
"Y-You!! How did..."
The moment Lorien said this, Saeko's eyes shrank in fright as her calm facial expressions were thrown out of the window.
"Oh! Are you talking about your bloodthirstiness? Did you not know that I have clairvoyance?"

Seeing her still in disbelief, Lorien responded while rolling his eyes at her.
"It's just some bloodthirstiness, I frankly don't care, I myself am a bit indifferent to the life of those I don't consider related to me..."

Hearing this, Saeko lowered her head slightly, her thoughts wandering to the unknown.
"If that's what you are worried about, you don't have to"

Hearing this answer, Saeko who had her head down, finally raised it slowly, there, the previous shock and disbelief are nowhere to be seen, only resolve and calmness remained.
"If that is the case, then, I agree! I'll stay for as long as you are willing to accept my sins."

Just as that was happening, the two groups that had previously left the base could be now seen in separate parts of the city as each of them found a secluded place to stay, deciding to rest there for a while.
But even though their choice was similar, it was for completely different reasons is actually for completely different reasons, as contrary to Komuro's group which looked in a somewhat relaxed state, Shido's group looked a bit haggard.
"W-What is happening??!"
"Why is this happening to us!!"
Looking at the two students that were with him, Shido's face also looked a bit ugly.
Since they left the base, nothing went well for them, from random attacks, accidents, and explosions, to zombies suddenly jumping on them from out of nowhere.
All of those accidents even caused the loss of one of their team members.
'What is happening? This isn't normal...'
Shido could still remember their first couple of accidents; those nearly cost him his life; the fact that he's still alive now is a miracle.
'Thankfully, it hasn't happened again for a while, so it may really be just bad luck...'
Feeling suffocated, he finally couldn't help but exit the vehicle to get a breath of fresh air, there weren't any zombies nearby anyways.
'What should I do now...'
'I don't know if there are any other supernatural being out there...'
'Did they appear because of the apocalypse?'
'Those assholes! I was planning to stay for a while to get some information, but that man seems to have a grudge against me...'
With his mind wandering, Shido couldn't help but think about his time at the base, he really couldn't forget such an experience, after all, the clown makeup is still there to constantly remind him.
At the same time, just as he was in a daze, the scarlet energy that entangled him suddenly started getting consumed quickly which is obviously something he can't see, otherwise, he would have been alert.
Sadly though, there are no ifs in life, moreover, death has already come for him again.
So, Will it miss again this time? or will it take its target?
