Chapter 25 Shopping Date with Touko-senpai (Part 1)

February 18, 2022

It’s Thursday.

It seems that Karen and Kamokura are having another “fling date day” today.

Karen had told me that she was going to go shopping with her local friends on Thursday, and then go out to play.

Of course, Kamokura also told Toko-senpai, “I have a meeting at my part-time job on Thursday, and we’re all going to have a light drink afterwards.

In Kamokura’s case, I went to the same high school as well as Touko-senpai, so if I were to tell her that we were friends from my hometown, she wouldn’t be able to tell where the lie came from.

Even though I said that, I was also a little excited about this day.

That’s because I had promised Touko-senpai that I would go shopping for my clothes with her today.

That’s when we decided on Monday’s “X-Day”.

There are a lot of boys who don’t care about their clothes, but it’s better to have a sense of cleanliness.

said Tonko-senpai.

“Cleanliness of clothes? My parents wash my clothes almost every day.

It’s not that you’re uncleanly dressed. It’s not that you’re dirty. I should have said, “I don’t dress sloppily.”

“Dressed sloppily?

Think back to your university. For example, in our science and engineering department, everyone wears worn-out sweatshirts or fleeces, checkered shirts and jeans. That’s what most people wear, right?

“Huh?”

Today I’m wearing a fleece hoodie and a thick cotton shirt on top, and the jeans I’ve been wearing since high school.

If your clothes are too tacky and saggy, the people wearing them will look shabby.

Well, I guess that’s true.

I didn’t pay much attention to it because there were a lot of people like that around me.

“It doesn’t have to be expensive clothes. You don’t have to wear expensive clothes, you can wear unishiro or zu and still look crisp and clean.

But I’ve never been interested in dressing up.

I always wore the clothes my parents bought me without telling them.

But I have no fashion sense at all, so I don’t know what kind of clothes to buy.

Then Toko-senpai thought for a moment, and then said

“Okay. I’ll go with you then. The next time Tetsuya and the others meet up, we’ll go shopping together.”

That’s why I decided to go shopping with Toko-senpai today.

When we arrived at the south east ticket gate of Shinjuku station, I didn’t have to wait long for Toko to arrive.

You’re first again today, aren’t you?

She looked at me and smiled.

No, but today I hardly waited at all. We were probably on the same train.”

Today, Toko-san was wearing a thin white half coat, a fine flowered blouse, and a long black tight skirt.

The skirt had a slit up to her thighs, and her thighs were occasionally visible.

And I could see the eyes of the men around me gathering on Toko-senpai.

As I met up with her, I had mixed feelings of pride, but also embarrassment and disproportion.

We headed to a casual brand store called “ZU” near Shinjuku Sanchome.

As we entered the store, we saw a large selection of mass-produced clothing.

When I choose clothes, I get overwhelmed by the sheer variety. I’m always overwhelmed by the variety of clothes, trying to figure out what fits me, which ones I should combine, and which ones go with my current clothes. You know.”

Then, Toko pointed to a photo panel of models hanging in the store.

He was wearing a black slim bottom and a black jacket.

Underneath was a long-sleeved T-shirt with horizontal stripes.

Don’t think too hard about it, just buy a set of products that are introduced in those stores. These products are selected by professionals.

Is that so?

But it’s pretty hard to dress like a famous model that even I know.

Isshiki-kun is of normal height but slim. I think most of your clothes will look good on you.

Then she brings out the same product that the photo model was wearing earlier and holds it against my body.

I think this is good for monotones. I’d also like to see something a little more casual and bright.

So she picked out a pair of beige cotton pants, a thick red shirt, and a brown vest-type hoodie.

Try it on for now. If it doesn’t fit, I’ll exchange it.

I did as I was told and tried on the clothes he had picked out for me in the fitting room.

Each time I tried on a dress, I asked Toko-senpai, who was waiting outside, to take a look.

“Yes, it’s good. It looks good on you.

She said with satisfaction.

Finally, I bought another set of slim jeans and a light green sweater, making a total of three sets of clothes.
