The girl who had just unscrewed the bottle cap felt his gaze on her and looked over with a smile.

Lu Yue Ming blinked and called out in a panic, “Hello, older sister.”

The girl who was in the middle of drinking water, froze a little. “.”

Qiu Hu: “……”

Mi Shu let out a snort of laughter.

Lu Yue Ming found his phrasing might have been wrong, so he mumbled, “Then…y-younger sister?”

The girl sighed and let out a laugh before taking a puff of the cigarette caught in her fingers. She walked over and took Lu Yue Ming’s hand – that hand was bony and defined, with a word tattoo carved into it…

Lu Yue Ming’s hand was placed on her chest.

“Try giving it a squeeze?”

It was a lazy, amused male voice.

Lu Yue Ming: “.”

Qiu Hu squeezed the water bottle in his hand with an awkward smile, “That…This is my uncle. I thought you knew…”

Where his hand touched was clearly the texture of plastic foam, but Lu Yue Ming’s ears still went completely red. He avoided that man’s smiling gaze and muttered, “…Ah?”

Mi Shu’s laughter was going rampant on the side. She explained after a while, “This is Mu Liu Su.”

Lu Yue Ming finally remembered why he looked familiar. He had seen him on Han Shi Yu’s live broadcast that day as well as the signed photograph of him that Xu Jia had.

“Where did you kidnap this cutie from?” Liu Mu’s voice was laced with a layer of laziness. He smoothly hooked Lu Yue Ming’s chin up, extinguishing his cigarette in the ashtray while asking Mi Shu with amusement.

Mi Shu: “This is Chief Yang’s beloved disciple.”

“Oh?” Liu Mu shot Lu Yue Ming a look and said, “Brother Mo is planning to retire?”

Lu Yue Ming, who had yet to fully recover from his embarrassment along with the redness in his ears that hadn’t faded yet, looked at this guy whose voice and face matched extremely inconsistently. He finally found a chance to butt in and apologized.

Qiu Hu laughed, “It’s fine. This only means that uncle isn’t popular enough.”

Liu Mu slapped the back of his nephew’s head, picked up the VR headset and tilted her head towards Lu Yue Ming. “Come, let this older sister teach you how to play.”

Lu Yue Ming: “……”

This time, he was red down to his neck.

While this group of people joked around and laughed, Mi Shu got a phone call.

She walked to a silent corner where no one else was and picked up the call.

“Hello, President Han…Yeah, Lu Yue Ming has been received. Everything is fine here…” Mi Shu paused and frowned a little, “Ah, what?”

She said, “Why do you want to push back your schedule? Did something happen?”

Hearing what Han Shi Yu answered her with, the corners of Mi Shu’s lips twitched.

Yang Han went to Liu Zuo Ye’s house to play for a while. Just as she was getting ready to go home, she received a call from Han Lang.

Yang Han: “Hey, grandma.”

Han Lang said, “Yang Yang, where are you? I’ll go pick you up.”

Yang Han laughed, “It’s alright. Dad is with me, I’ll just give him a call.”

Han Lang said, “…Your dad broke his foot.”

Yang Han: “.”

“He broke it in front of the mall plaza.” Han Lang continued, “Just finished bandaging it and he’s at my home now.”

Yang Han: “…Oh well, I’ll take a taxi myself.”

She knew there would be some careless, inattentive guy who would lose his footing at the doorstep where she almost fell too, but the person who acttually won the lottery immediately turned out to be Han Shi Yu.

“Yang Yang asked what do you want to eat,” Han Lang said to her son while typing a reply on the phone, “She said she will bring it over on her way here.”

Han Shi Yu had one foot wrapped in bandage rested on top of a chair while his other leg was bent. He propped up his cheeks with his elbows on his knees and said, “Get her to show up in one piece and I’d already be thanking the gods.”

Han Lang: “Are you sure you don’t want any?”

Han Shi Yu compromised, “Some fruits then.”

Throughout the time Han Lang sent back a message to Yang Han, she couldn’t hide her expression at all. She looked like she was holding back her joy, even letting out a few laughs in the process by accident too.

“Mom,” Han Shi Yu turned towards her and said in a flat, lifeless tone, “Why do you seem to be in such a bright mood?”

After getting an ‘OK’ reply from her granddaughter, Han Lang closed the chat interface. She raised her phone and took a picture of Han Shi Yu’s beautiful posture, saving the picture while saying, “Let me send it to Mo Mo, so that we can have a good laugh together.”

Han Shi Yu: “……”

He hurriedly went to snatch her phone, “No! Mom, sister, beautiful lady, please don’t.”

Han Lang held the phone up and far away from him before gently pushing the son who pounced on her back, “Alright, alright. Sit back down properly.”

Han Shi Yu had no choice but to do as he was told, hanging his head while he sat back down before looking back at her pitifully.

“Are you two in a conflict again?” Han Lang was usually more stoic and reserved, but somehow she seemed extra happy today and couldn’t help but look at Han Shi Yu with a smile. “What are you so afraid of? Mo simply couldn’t get past his pride. Talk to him properly and things will ease up just fine, isn’t it?”

Han Shi Yu: “Ah?”

Han Lang laughed, “Old Yang told me about what happened.”

At the mention of Old Yang, Han Shi Yu who was confused at first suddenly felt an ominous feeling of déjà vu creeping up on him.

Han Lang let out a snort again before covering her mouth with her hand. She cleared her throat, set her expression straight and patted Han Shi Yu’s shoulder.

“…I really didn’t expect that you had it in you.”

Han Shi Yu: “.”
