Hours had passed since the girls left. While Julia and Ava left on their own, Kyla needed a lot of convincing on Aron's part. His wannabe girlfriend was adamant about spending this night stationed in his bed.

Too bad for her, Aron had some other plans. *Grrrr* *Wheee* Once the wheezing sounds of Caleb's snores picked up a steady pace, Aron tossed up in his bed.

Picking his handy torch, he flipped it on. Shoving his hand under his bedding, he located a book. Pulling it out, he flashed the torch on its shabby cover.

'Book of the Dead' Said the text on the hardy cover in fonts that were barely even recognizable. 'Is this really a grimoire?' That was the biggest mystery to Aron at this point.

Though he was not the most knowledgeable out there about magic and stuff, even the kids in the streets knew what the grimoires represented. Only highly acclaimed mages possess a full-fledged grimoire with them, helping them cast insane magic spells.

As such he knew the book in his hands represented immense opportunity. All he had to do was to look back at the spell he cast last time. Apparently, the mess it created had even the teachers involved in it. 'This must be the real deal.'

A sharp girn turned up on his face as she shifted the first few pages to land on the first spell page. Just out of curiosity, Aron turned another page and to his greatest delight, the next page was no longer blank.

"Heir of the Midnight Sun?" Read the heading, just the thought of a second spell making Aron's face gleaming with desire. Just like the summoning spell, this one had a small summary, a bunch of requirements and in addition, unlike the last spell, it had a descriptive procedure as well.

Excited to the core, Aron read through the entire thing in a single breath, nodding his head at the end of it. This new spell was not a summoning. Rather, it was a spell that he had to cast on himself.

'Looks like this is a permanent spell.' At the end of the page, there was a bunch of jumbled text that he identified as Ancient literature. From his improved resonance with the ancient language, he can manage a few words here and there, but he will have to research it nonetheless.

"Increases your affinity with mana. Improves mana retention. Helps deal with mana fatigue." There were no specific values given in the book to quantify the improvement. Nevertheless, Aron was already salivating all over it.

'I can't go wrong with this one.' Wrapped in his blanket, Aron shivered at the thought of the spell going wrong. He had to do this perfectly.. because there were no remedies written in this book, in case of a failed or improper casting.

Although he can't complain about being served spells on a platter, a little more description would definitely make his life much easier. Fishing out a piece of paper, he hurriedly copied the name of the ingredients as well as the text of the spell, before tucking the book back under his tattered mattress.

Aron could barely get any sleep that night. Why? Because from tomorrow he will be a student at the Greenville Academy. From here on out, his life is going to take a turn, for better or for worse, that remains to be seen.

In the capital, four men sat in a dimly lit room. "Aren't you guys overly hyping this matter?" The older man groomed his long white beard, glancing at the two haggard-looking men opposite him.

"Old geezer.. just look at us!" Victor spread his arms out exaggeratedly. "You think we are just messing around with such an important matter?" He was certainly dissatisfied with the old guy's judgment.

"Victor is correct, master Zion. We barely left with our lives intact." Searlus supported Victor's claims, having seen the angel of death with his own two eyes. It was a primitive hunter in all its glory.

"All you did was to run away from that.. thing.. You didn't even exchange a single blow with it." Zion shook his head in disappointment. "Now we just have to take your words on it."

Searlus gritted his teeth in frustration. "Old master, the fact that we didn't dare exchange a blow should tell you enough about its power levels. It was like the personification of monsters from the stories of the vampiric progenitors." He shivered at the thought of the creature zooming through the skies and tracking them down for hundreds of miles.

For the next minute, everyone in the room fell silent. "Hmm.." The fourth person who had remained silent until now cleared his throat. He was the only one with a black veil over his face.

"So she is the daughter of the third progenitor?" Victor just nodded his head, not having anything to add. "From what you told me, she is quite young.. at least by the standards of vampires."

"She is. I think this is probably the first time the elders must have allowed her to venture on her own." Victor added. "I understand what you are saying, Victor. But I have an observation to make."

"Say it. Brother Durand.. I am all ears." Victor fell back in his chair, ready to listen to the proposition. "I think old man Zion is right on this. Think about it. Only the two of you faced that girl." The veiled man's words surprised the two men and made the bearded old guy smile.

"Searlus is not much of a fighter on his own." His comments made the spatial mage cringe but he knew that was the truth. "Now coming to you, Victor. I know you are one of our top powerhouses but think about it. You were at a loss since the very beginning."

Four dark balls of mana constantly rotated behind the veiled man, sucking out the light from the surroundings. "Firstly she has a much pure bloodline than you. She can suppress you just with her very presence itself. Secondly, tell me.. even if you had the chance to kill her.. or even to mortally wound her, would you do it?"

Victor's eyes turned red at the very moment he heard those words. "Haha.. there you have it." Durand laughed out and Victor realized the point the guy was trying to make. "You were never the best match for her, Victor."

Durand turned to face the old man. "Zion, try to not assign anything to Victor these days. Let him rest at our hideout. Even if she is not an overwhelming threat to our plans, she certainly is capable of doing great harm to our group."

"I will suggest you not underestimate her. Other than myself and Darlene, no one else is allowed to confront this pureblood. Everyone else needs to stay in contact with Searlus at all times. Make sure you guys don't get in her way." Durand explained patiently.

"With that being said.." Durand got up from his seat ready to leave. "In my opinion, we don't need to do any particular changes to our plans. But you are allowed to revisit it if you think so."

A black simmering appeared in front of the man. "I will try to come up with some measures for this new variable. It will be best if she locks horn with the kingdom than with us." Saying this, the man stepped through the portal, disappearing from their sight.

"Is someone in here?" Rumi sat in her store when she heard a familiar voice calling out from the entrance of the building. "Come on in, kiddo. I am in here." She replied, watching a recognizable figure carefully walk in with silent steps.

"What's the point of sneaking in if you call onto me?" Rumi chuckled at the exaggerated antics of the kid. The young boy took a vigilant look around before making his way over to Mrs. Rumi.

"Why do I get a feeling like you and I are having an illegitimate affair, brat? What are you so worried about? There is nobody in the house." Rumi rolled her eyes at him as the boy came to stand next to her with a stupid smile plastered to his face.

"We can certainly have one if you want, Mrs. Rumi. If it's you, I don't mind if the affair is legit or not." His works won him a slap to the back of his head. "Cheeky ruffian!!" Even a mature woman like Rumi blushed slightly at his sheer shamelessness.

"Hahaha.." Both of them laughed out loud. "Still, what was that all about? Are you hiding from someone?" Rumi asked curiously.

Listening to the reason, Rumi had another laugh. Aron was not only happy because the woman was happy, but consequently adding to his happiness was the set of busty melons juggling up and down.

What he will not give up to touch those breasts, draped under Mrs. Rumi's signature purple dress. "So you are telling me everyone knows your name but no one actually recognizes you by face, yet?"

Aron nodded. "Then what are you so careful about?" Rumi questioned him with a small glare as if warning him not to stare at her chest any longer. "Ahem.." Fortunately, Aron picked the clue.

"Well there is no harm in being prudent. I don't want the status quo to change. If I hide for a week or so, the hype will die down." Rumi took another glance at the boy, not expecting him to act so maturely at such a young age.

Kids his age will do anything to make a name for themselves and here he was, trying his best to evade the limelight. Was it his life experience as a slave that was making him unable to trust anyone?

Rumi smiled wryly and jumped down from her meditation platform. "It's okay, kiddo." She came forward to hug him tightly in her embrace. Caught off-guard, Aron had his head smashed into the massive pillowy tits of Mrs. Rumi.

"You don't need to be scared. You are no longer alone. You got friends.. don't you?" Having lusted after these breasts previously, now that he was met with them, his erotic thoughts were washed away by Rumi's affection.

He didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around the woman and hold her close to him. Multiple faces flashed in his mind. Mrs. Rumi was right. He truly had made a lot of friends. He was no longer alone in this world.

The warmth from Rumi's embrace made Aron forget the world and their hug grew even cozier. The lady in the purple dress can tell the boy had grown sentimental because of her and hence kept holding onto him.

"Ahem.. both of you are adults, mom. Do you have to act so cringeworthy?" Ava's voice surprised the couple, causing Aron to separate away from Mrs. Rumi awkwardly.

"Hmph.. when did hugging turn cringe-worthy, little girl?" Rumi patted Aron's head, comforting him. "Sometimes I genuinely feel like I should have asked for another kid. Who knows, I might have gotten a son." She sighed looking at the boy.

"Ohh.. too bad. Now you are stuck with me, I guess.. hahaha.." Ava laughed in a manly voice before she noticed Aron staring at her and returned to her refined attitude. "Cough.. cough.. why are you here now, Aron?"

Asking the question, Ava's gaze glimpsed over Aron's hand that was even not attached to her mother's. "Hey.. hey.. that's a married woman, you punk. Please don't have these random thoughts about my mum." She stepped forth and herself detached the love birds.

While Rumi laughed it off, Aron was flushed by the charge. "You got it wrong.. I wasn't.." "Don't bother, lover boy. Julia told me all about you and Mrs... ahh leave it. Just don't get your dirty paws on my mother. Just remember she got a petty husband."

Ava held her mother by the waist presumably to warn Aron off. "Hahaha.. is that right, Aron? Do you have an affair..? Oh.. my.. Please tell me about it." Rumi's eyes brightened up, interested in listening to the accolades in detail.
