Both Edmond and Udo were shocked to see the demon servant cry in pain while rolling on the ground, clutching onto his head with both of his hands.
While thinking that, they looked at Ajax as he was the one who mentioned that he had a plan to save the King killer.

When they looked at him, Ajax smiled at them with a slight smile on his face and moved towards the mutated demon servant.
"Ajax, how did you do it?" Edmond hurriedly moved towards the King killer, who was still in the middle of his awakening just like the other eight remaining young cultivators.
Only after he checked that the King killer was fine, Edmond asked Ajax on how he did that.

A few moments before Edmond and Udo open their eyes,
'Now, I am within the range,' Ajax roughly gauged the distance between him and the mutated demon servant who was holding the King killer as a hostage and that this was enough distance to use his skill.
After reaching the range, he looked at Edmond and Udo, who started their acting by doing some mysterious symbols with their hands.
Next, he looked at the demon servant, who raised his brows looking at the actions of Edmond and Udo.
When he was looking at them, he unconsciously loosened the grip on the King killer which made Ajax's eyes shine with bright light.
'This is it,' Ajax didn't waste any time when he saw the dagger in the demon servant's hands was moved a little distance away from the King killer's neck and silently shouted in his head, 'Absolute darkness.'
As soon as he thought that, the small black light beam entered into the demon servant's head within a few seconds.
Without the knowledge of the black light beam that entered into his body, the demon servant looked at his surroundings for a second before the dagger in his hands fell down to the ground and next, he fell down along with it and started rolling on the ground while clutching his head and howled in pain.
Edmond and Udo immediately stopped their acting and opened their eyes when they heard the painful shouts and were puzzled.

"So, this is what happened earlier, Captain Edmond," Ajax explained to both Edmond and Udo about what he had done without hiding anything. He even said about his skill 'Absolute darkness'.

Edmond and Udo were shocked at Ajax's other mysterious skill; however, the shock was dominated by their anger towards Ajax.
"You should have used that skill already...Sigh. Then we would have not gone through all of this,"
Nevertheless, Edmond suppressed his anger and sighed at Ajax's late use of that mysterious skill.
"Sorry, Captain Edmond. I thought that you had a plan to save, brother killer. So, I didn't want to interrupt your planning," Ajax rubbed the back of his head and continued, "Because you showed a nonchalant look on your face, I thought like that."

Both Edmond and Udo were speechless before they started laughing at Ajax's words.
"Actually, it is my plan to maintain the nonchalant expression on my face, so that the demon servant will not dare to ask for some high-level things from us; however, it is a failure," Edmond embarrassedly explained his plan which ended up as a failure before he could take it to the next level.

According to him, this mutated demon was very cunning and almost made everyone worried for a while. So, he wanted him to suffer from some nightmares before killing him.
In general, the mutated demon servant would have easily escaped from the skill 'Absolute darkness' with his cultivation level which was a peak elite commander realm and only one step away from reaching the general realm.
Moreover, he was a mutated one that had more resistance than many other common demon servants.
