“How do I solve it?” Yoonshin asked.

“As I said, you’re acting strange these days. I see pent-up frustration in your eyes that I normally don’t see in people like you. Plus, your only strengths are being honest and candid, but those are faint. You can start there,” Sehun pointed out.

Sehun knew practically nothing about the situation, yet his comment struck at Yoonshin’s key concerns. One concern was Sehun, who stood before him, and the other was his sister’s situation.

However, the latter was a conflict so massive that it was impossible to solve by himself. Plus, it was technically not Yoonshin’s business. He oscillated between telling Sehun and the worry that this would get his sister into a stickier situation. Yoonshin spoke before he knew it. “Senior Attorney, so you see…”

“Don’t tell me,” Sehun cut him off.

“Why not?”

“I feel like I’ll want to listen to your request. I don’t want more things to think about.”

“…”

“All right, the pro bono ends here.”

Sehun was about to turn and leave Yoonshin in the dimly lit corner. Frustrated that all he saw was Sehun’s back, Yoonshin tugged at the older man’s sleeve. His hands slowly traveled lower. They passed the other’s firm and bony wrist before lightly grasping the soft hand of the other. Sehun flinched. He was about to push him away when Yoonshin grabbed the older man’s hand firmly.

“What do you think you’re doing, Fourth-year?” Sehun asked sharply.

Yoonshin paused momentarily, then he slowly leaned toward Sehun. He leaned his head toward the other’s chest and rested his forehead against it.

“Have you heard the saying, that the greatest weakness is the fear of showing your weakness?” Yoonshin asked.

“What’s your point?”

“A flaw formed in your life the moment you feared that I would become a flaw in your life.”

Sehun didn’t reply. Yoonshin stepped closer, leaning in deeper into the older man’s chest. Sehun took a sharp intake of breath, and Yoonshin could feel the rise and fall of Sehun’s chest. Yoonshin calmly closed his eyes.

Yoonshin felt lonely enduring his difficulties, but Sehun magically appeared before him. Perhaps Yoonshin was the one who searched for Sehun.

“Yoonshin Do,” Sehun said in a low voice.

Yoonshin liked the low rumbling tone of the other’s voice when he called his name. He felt as though he could hear the other’s heart beating loudly, which he also liked. Sehun might not believe it, but Yoonshin also liked how Sehun’s hand twitched, conflicted between whether he should turn around and hold the younger man.

When that thought hit him, Yoonshin’s initial intention to calm his heart in Sehun’s embrace shattered. Yoonshin felt his heart starting to pound. At a loss for what to do, he could only gasp when Sehun pushed the other man away.

Sehun took a few steps back and put distance between them, staring intently at Yoonshin. Sehun’s expression slowly grew complex. He seemed a bit diffident and slightly angry.

“Did you just get dumped by a woman you had a crush on for 20 years?” Sehun asked.

It was so out of the blue that Yoonshin tilted his head in confusion. “No, but I did go on a blind date.”

Besides, Yoonshin had never had a crush on anyone before.

“Then, did you get severely defrauded? Did you burn through the entirety of the inheritance your father left you?”

“My father didn’t leave a lot behind. I did buy a house with my share of my mother’s estate and my sister’s assistance. That’s for the security of my later years in life.”

Once Sehun heard that, his face twisted in utter confusion. “Then, why do you look like you’ll cry again?”
