"Brat, how does it feel?" Garp asked with a grin on his face.
Leo looks toward him before replying with an agonizing expression on his face, "if you are asking about my body, then let's just say that I will survive."
There are lots of wounds all over his body. Many of his bones were broken, and he even had a few internal injuries, and his whole body hurt when he moved a little.
But not everything was terrible. With Leo being a Mystical Zoan and Esoteric Being, his body's self-healing ability is already top-notch. Even without any treatment, he will be completely healed in a week.
But if you add his Rapid Adaptability to the mix, it will only take him two to three days to completely heal by himself.
"I pretend as if you don't know what I am talking about," Garp shoots back.
"How does it feel to use Observation Haki for the first time?"
Leo answered, "It feels like the world around me has slowed down. I know everything happening and everything about to happen in this town at once. It was a really wonderful feeling while it lasted."
As if satisfied by his answer, Garp suddenly laughed, "hahaha, you genuinely have great talent in Observation Haki. You just awaken it, and it can already cover the whole town."
"Now, I really want to make you a Marine."
While sitting near the craters, Leo silently sent a message to Zoro and Rindou, telling them to leave the island quickly.
"Don't joke about it, old man. I don't think I will fit in Marine. I just want freedom."
"Here, take it, old man," Leo said before throwing a crew card at him.
The card was completely black with a golden lion drawn on the side, while the other was blank.
Garp catches the card and looks at it before asking with a confused look on his face, "what is this, your business card?"
"No, it is a type of phone with almost all the features of the Den Den Mushi. It can be used to call the other card holders, and most importantly, its calls cannot be spied on." Leo explains in an excited tone.
"That's right, and you can talk to your grandson without anyone finding out."
Garp was clearly interested in it, as it was the first time he had seen something like this.
There are many types of Den Den Mushi in this world, and they all have different uses. So Leo's words about this card containing almost all its features interest him.
"So, how will it be activated?" Garp asked with a curious expression on his face.
"To use it, you just have to bind with yourself, just give it a little wave and then just say yes, and the process will be complete," Leo said with an honest smile on his face.
Garp doesn't know why but he feels a little uncomfortable for a second. He knows that this brat cannot harm him, but just to be safe, he covers his whole body in invisible Armament Haki.
If this card is created by using some devil fruit and is used to play a trick on him, then he is confident that he could resist it with his Haki.
Garp followed his instructions and quickly bound the card to himself.
"Congratulations, old man, now you can talk to your grandson without any fear. After all, you have just become part of our crew, hahaha," Leo said in a happy tone. Still, he ended up laughing at this ridiculous situation.
He clearly didn't think this would work, and it was just a shoot in the dark, but who would have thought he would gain legendary Marine Hero as his crew member by this trick?
But then again, anyone other than the crew members has any information about Crew cards, so it is logical that they would not know about this type of recruitment method.
'And I should keep it that way. It will help me scam a few other influential and powerful people," Leo thought while laughing like a maniac in his mind.
Just the thought of having all the admirals and other important figures in this world as part of his crew, such a lineup, would be unbeatable.
While he was thinking about all this, Garp was totally confused about what he had just said.
What do you mean by he has joined your crew? When did he agree to this? He is a proud Marine. Why would he join a pirate crew?
"You don't understand, hahaha. Just look at the card and say stats. You will understand everything," Leo said while laughing at Garp's utterly confused face.
Garp looks at his crew card with an irritated expression before saying, "Stats!"

This incident had shaken him to the core. How could this affect him when his body is covered in Armament Haki.
"If you still don't believe, then try to attack me now," Leo said in an amused tone.
Hearing this, Garp doesn't waste any time and directly throws a punch covered in red lighting.
That red lighting indicated the use of the advanced form of Conqueror Haki, Infusion.
But before he could even step forward, Garp suddenly stopped, and his body went limp as if he were a puppet with his string cut.
'What the hell? How did I suddenly stop? Why can't I control my body?' Garp thought as his body fell onto the ground and refused to move.
"Now, you must be thinking, why can't I can't for my body or something, right?" Leo chuckles, "Well, guess what, old man? It is the feature or safe lock that prevents any crew mate from betraying the crew and me."
"So now you are part of my crew. Welcome aboard, old man."
Garp was utterly shocked by this explanation before he sighed and said, "Since you have already told me your plan, maybe I should also tell you mine."
"What plan are you talking about? You are totally bested by me here. You are now a part of a pirate crew. You are a part of my crew now." Leo said while he knew that it was a completely random idea at that moment. But since no one knew about this, he could tell he had planned all this. He is the mastermind that planned all this so he can have a Marine Legend like Garp in his crew.
"About that, you are still going to be a Marine, you have no bounty on your head, and my first mate is already coming towards us. He will take us both to Marine Headquarters, where you will be a Marine, hahaha," Garp said while laughing.
"B-but you can do this. You are part of the crew now. You can't betray me. Crew card will not allow it," Leo said before his eyes widened in shock as he realized how he had done it.
What Leo was thinking is correct, the crew card will not allow any kind of betrayal in the crew, but for a certain angle, did not betray. Garp made this arrangement before he became part of the crew, so all he is doing is not helping his captain in need, and he is being punished by not being able to move his body.
"And you didn't take this situation into account. You just want your first mate to carry me to your ship while you go and capture Ace and others, right?" Leo said as he realized he was not the only one with a lucky break.
"Hahaha, you are just like Sengoku. He also thinks too much, but sometimes luck is more important than the mind, brat," Garp said with a peal of laughter as his first mate Bogard arrived at the scene.
