Their cooperation wasn't seamless as they weren't all part of the same team, but the adaptation skills that they picked up by switching from one squad to another made it very easy to coordinate with others given enough time. Just as Leo had hoped, their Furnace-mates were truly the best reinforcement that he could pick!

At the same time, that didn't mean that the werewolves were getting crushed without resistance. In order to push the werewolves back, each Martial Artist had at least one deep gash caused by the werewolves' long claws.
Fortunately, unlike the werewolves in the legend, these monsters' claws weren't laced with incurable poison, nor were they impervious to wounds caused by non-silver weapons. As long as vital damage was dealt, they fell down like any strong soldier would.

Once the Heavenly Strength Society's little army had their buffs completely cleared, a scarlet gleam rose from their focal point. As if a sleeping beast had awoken from their slumber, the aura that had been spread condensed into one point as it rose to the sky!
After finishing her critical job, the bloodlust that Yeon unleashed to wake up the followers was all focused back on her. The sanguine aura not only covered her whole body, but a deep shade of red also covered the Black Heaven Jade, making it look even more sinister than usual.
Without any further alert, the eastern blade flashed into a flurry of movements as Yeon's body coordinated with it. Flying into a systematic rampage, the scary beauty drilled a large hole into the werewolves' defenses!
'It won't be long.'
Sparing a few side glances every now and then, Leo understood that Yeon's fate was approaching faster than usual. Considering the special situation, it wasn't something he was worried about, but he wasn't exactly looking forward to it either. That was just how complicated a Secondary Main Character had to be.
Rather than being detrimental, the mild berserk state that Yeon was currently in only served to boost her ability beyond her limits, albeit within reason. The Scarlet Sky Breathing Method was a miraculous technique as one would expect, but not everyone could draw out its real benefits…

The werewolf chief stood and watched the battle go on. It looked like he was stupidly wasting his forces while keeping himself for last, but that wasn't the case at all. Just like Martial Artists could gauge the ability of their opponent by sensing their energy, monsters also possessed keen senses, especially werewolves like them.

Fully aware of their opponents' capability, everyone could tell that only mass sacrifice could wear down the threats to the level where they could triumph against them. Monsters like the Devouring Centaur might have prioritized personal survival, but werewolves were a familial species, they would do anything for the sake of their clan…
While the scene looked like a tear-jerking drama, the reality was that these were gourmet human eaters. Leo might have chosen another target if this was the first venue of coexistence between humanity and monsters, but they would have been eaten if Leo hadn't initiated the attack!
