Alex's group hadn't found any other Pokémon near Exeggutor, so he didn't think the second possibility would occur.
Gardevoir successfully created a field of 100m x 100m blocking the use of [Teleport] after 30 seconds.
She could also do it quickly, but she wanted to build a solid, stable force field that could not easily be destroyed by this Exeggutor.
This Exeggutor would need at least 3 minutes to destroy this force field and only if he does not have to fight throughout that.
If Exeggutor had a higher level than Gardevoir, he could simply leave this field of force in a few seconds. But fortunately, that was not the case.

Alex showed no reaction to this insult and simply said, "Combusken, this fight is yours. Start with Sunny Day."
Exeggutor noticed how this person sent only 1 Pokémon to fight against him, and his hatred for him spiked.
This guy not only attacked him unprovoked, but he also wanted to use him as a training tool for his Pokémon.
