She sat next to the egg covered in vibrant flames and just stared at it with a warm expression on her face.
At the same time, a silver cat suddenly appeared in the room. It lazily hopped up onto the bed and sat in front of Nergal. "Nergal, how long do you plan to be in the mortal world?"
"Father, that damn Prince Smir has tried so many times to assassinate my beloved! How could I return now!? I will not return until I know for a fact that my dear Ceilie will be safe." Nergal replied. She was determined to keep Ceilie safe no matter what.
"Sigh… I can see my daughter is truly in love… Fine. I will make an excuse saying I sent you on a mission to the mortal world. Remember, do not overstep the rules of the mortal world. You can not do anything that goes against the system. If you do, you know what will happen. Anyway, I won't bother you anymore. I will try to do something about that little shit on my end. Take care of yourself." Nergal's father was a good man. He would do anything for his daughter, even if it meant going against the royals.

Back in the realm of the gods, Nergal's father was stunned at his daughter's words. "How many years has it been since I have heard her say that to me?" A rare loving smile formed on his face. He turned to his assistant, who was staring at him oddly and coldly said: "Tell that damn king I will be visiting him in an hour and to drag that good for nothing son of his out of hiding and meet with me face to face."
"I will do it right away, Master." The assistance replied respectfully before setting off to do his task.
Nergal's father leaned his head back and tapped his desk before finally standing up. "I better put a stop to this before something bad happens to Nergal's beloved. Knowing that girl, if her beloved gets hurt, that mortal realm will end up being destroyed..."
Back in the mortal world, Ceilie's egg finally showed signs of hatching. Long cracks appeared on the surface of the flames, and out from it, an orange haired girl burst out of the egg. "Finally done!"

"My dear Ceilie!" Nergal instantly pounced and embraced Ceilie rubbing her face in between Ceilie's two small mounds.
"Nergal, get off!" Ceilie used all her strength and shoved Nergal off her. Blushing red, Ceilie quickly grabbed her clothes and went to put them on only to find something was off. "I can't put my shirt on! When did I get wings!?"
"Hehe… Do you like my gift? The hellfire cat race went extinct many millions of years ago when the Supreme Fire Goddess Thaasi was angered by their ruler for peeping on her while she was bathing. She laid waste to the hellfire cat clan leaving no descendants. But do not get me wrong, the hellfire cats were very powerful in the realm of gods. It is just that the power between a high goddess and a supreme goddess is like night and day. There is just no way to compare the two's power. But with the special traits that a hellfire cat has makes them some of the best archers in the realm of gods. With their ability to fly and enhanced eyesight, they can hone in and target any prey they wish to kill from thousands of kilometers away. Not to mention their base stats are in the thousands." Nergal, who was not used to being thanked, rubbed her nose as she bashfully lowered her head, trying to hide her reddening cheeks. "No need to thank me. I was just doing what should be done for my dear Ceilie..."
Ceilie let out a small laugh. For the first time since meeting Nergal, she actually found the cat girl to be rather cute. "Nergal, can I trouble you to find me a set of clothes that I can wear with wings?"
"Already on it. I had a few sets ordered, but they will not be done until tomorrow. They are shaping armor so they will fit your body. I did buy this open back shirt for you for the time being, though." Nergal waved her hand and handed Ceilie a black shirt with a low cut back. It was just a normal shirt, so she could not use it for fighting, but just the fact that Nergal went out of her way to prepare all these things for her made Ceilie feel a bit guilty for the way she had been treating Nergal.
"You really thought of everything… I do not know what to say or how I can even repay you." Ceilie was really at a loss for words.
"You can always repay me with your hand in marriage then we can both get na… Ouch!" Nergal looked up at Ceilie rubbing her head.
