Chapter 808: Divine Power
As Kana stood there and looked at the four headless bodies, she felt sadness welling up inside her. Her eyes glowed slightly as she saw the souls of the four slowly floating out of their bodies. Kana reached forward and motioned toward the four souls. They slowly floated over to her, landing softly in her hand. "I will be sure you can reincarnate. Luckily you came across me. While I am the Goddess of Death, my daughter is the Ghost Empress. You will reincarnate and live another life. I just hope your new life will be filled with happiness."
Kana smiled warmly while pulling the souls into her soul sea to keep them safe. She then gripped her sword and pointed it in a certain direction. "Come out."
"So you noticed me…." A golden bearded old man stepped out of the wall and stood in front of Kana, and much to Kana's surprise, he bowed his head. "I thank you. And I apologize for all the trouble I have put you through." "
Kana loosened her grip on her sword and looked at the old man. "You are the master of these games? No, it should be more like you are the master of this mystic realm…"
"That is correct. Although my body has long since disappeared. I am only here now as a soul. As for those four…. They were unable to come under my control when I created this place. So in order to keep them safe and not turn into an undead monster, I created the games…. Hey! Don't swing that at me!"
"You damn popup master! What the hell was with all those popups!?" Kana yelled in anger as she kept swinging her sword at the old man. She will never trust any old man again. They are all evil beings!
"Look, I am sorry! I did not know what exactly I was doing. I was just making them so that I could test the people who came here. I figured menus were the right way to go!" The golden bearded old man yelled out while dodging Kana's sword.
This cat and mouse game went on for almost half an hour before Kana finally stopped and lowered her sword. "Then explain to me, why me? You ruled this mystic realm, so you were the one who led me all this way."
"Everyone who enters this mystic realm is basically an open book to me. I can see your soul. You are no normal being or one from this world, that much I know. And until I heard your words just now, I did not know you were the Goddess of Death. I was unable to figure out what you were. But from the sounds of it, I am glad that it was you that was chosen. Once again, I am very sorry." The golden bearded old man once more bowed his head.
Kana sighed as she rubbed her forehead. "It's fine. Since I passed the game, I get some kind of reward, right?"
"Yes…." The golden bearded old man held out his hand. A golden ball surging with power appeared out of thin air. "This is the last of my power. It will help you greatly in raising your power. If you wish to form a god core, use this."
Kana's eyes lit up, but she did not take the golden ball right away. "If I were to split this between eight people, how powerful would they get?"
"Eight people? You could all still stand at the top of this lower realm. The power of the gods is something that my fragmented world brought to this world this mystic realm now resides on. While there is a small amount of divinity in the air mixed in with this world's spiritual qi, it is not enough to progress far and would be hard to detect. But if you take this cube here and reach Fortune Palace, you will be able to obtain the items in the secret room which are filled with divinity." The golden bearded old man replied.
Kana looked at the orb and the cube before reaching out and taking both. If she can get these things back to her family, they can all walk really on this lower plane. This was something Kana truly wished for so that they could finally begin looking for other sources of power to quickly raise their strengths. "Thank you for this. You have truly helped me greatly on this day."
"No, it is you who have helped me. I still have a good ten years left in this old body with what little power I saved. And it seems your angels are also waiting for you outside the stone hut guarding it. You still have a month left in this mystic realm. Have one of your angels fly you to the other side and look for the tallest peak. That is where you will find the palace. Now I will go rest." The golden bearded old man smiled at Kana before reaching out and ruffling her hair. Only then did his body disappear.
"I went through hell, but I guess in the end, it was all worth it…." Kana watched as the room turned back into the big stone room that she was used to seeing when first entering the stone huts. She looked around a bit before looking at the items in her hand. "I have one month, huh? I guess I will use a week and build my god core now. As long as I can get a little extra strength, I will be able to survive and leave this place."
With this thought in mind, Kana sat down. She put the cube away in her storage box before holding the golden ball in her hand. She closed her eyes as she began slowly extracting the divine power into her body….

Outside the mystic realm, two sides were currently up in arms. "You damn righteous path!" An elder of one of the devil sects yelled out.
Lord Yong looked at him with a smirk on his face."It seems your kids are not doing too well now, are they?"
